Shine Your Light: A new 2025 interactive self-help journal to guide you to deeper emotional intelligence, from the star of Married at First Sight Australia
I have LOVED this one! A few weeks back I wanted to get a positive uplifting self help book because a lot of the ones I've read recently have been a bit too serious and I wanted one that brings a bit of fun to the table. So I got this one, it's part book part journal and what I've enjoyed about it is not only is it really insightful and helpful, I've had so much fun working my way through it.
Sure there's the self reflection parts that are never pleasant but there's also lots on building yourself up, dreaming of the future and having actually taken part in each of the journal entries it's made me feel super positive about the future. It's one that I'll definitely look back at in times of need because the gratitude section was lovely and the parts about friendship and family. It's all yummy stuff. I can't recommend this one enough!
One thing I did take away from this one is that I'm not going to feel bad about being happy anymore. A lot of the time in life people say they want you to be happy but then when you are your expected to do it quietly I'm not sure why but there's definitely an opinion out there that sharing be it on socials or even just talking sometimes is seen as showing off if your doing something your proud of or happy about. Well I'm over that narrative if I want to talk about my life I shouldn't have to act small and neither should anyone reading this post. Happiness isn't always guaranteed life sucks sometimes, so when you're given a moment of Happiness... Be Loud about it, it's your life ... No one else's it's yours, if you want to celebrate your wins bloody celebrate them!
