Colette’s eventful visit home continues with sibling apprentices, an old friend, and the twelve Olympians! In addition, her time spent with Lord Hades becomes even sweeter…
Alto YUKIMURA is best known for being the artist of Ginzatoushi to Kuro no Yousei: Sugar Apple Fairytale. for being the author & artist of Colette Decides to Die: Konin-hen, Colette wa Shinu Koto ni Shita, Roppyaku Peiji no Mystery, and Honey & Butterfly.
Disappointed is how I felt while reading this volume. I love Colette and I love this series but this volume(well volumes since it is an omnibus) was boring. There was way too much time spent on characters I didn’t care about at all. The never ending story of Kotsume was a gigantic yawnfest and if the intention was for Kotsume to be adorable it failed. I found Kotsume to be so annoying. I also couldn’t care less about the story of Itan and Marie. I read this story for Colette and Hades. The parts that redeemed this from being a one star was Collette and Hades at the end which was adorable and charming as well as the moments with Charon who I continue to find to be so endearing and I love the moments that we learn more about Charon and their relationship with Hades. So when all is said and done this was a bore for me with a few good moments sprinkled in. Hoping for better with the next omnibus.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series. Thanks so much to Viz for the DRC. I can’t wait for it to get published in August.
Colette might be one of the hardest workers I’ve seen depicted in a manga. She’s forever saying yes to a new quest and is down so bad for Lord Hades that sleeping by his side is second nature to her at this point . I love their budding relationship and seeing them become places of peace for one another.
The addition of Poseidon’s servant was hilarious but turned out to be such a good message. He has to find out what he’s good at and accommodate for his weakness. The skulls are so helpful but also honest in their treatment and analysis of him. Will we get a reunion arc in the next volume? He worked so hard!
I can’t wait to see Colette’s reaction when she hears the news from Marie and Itan.
The amount of joy this series brings me is immense~ Colette journeys to her hometown with Hercules and spends time with her sisters. I loved getting to see her interacting with Marie and learning more through her about Itan. We get to see Charon and Holly together! I am very much invested in Kotsume's story! What a sweet little otter~ and seeing the Skeleton's working with him and helping him!! It speaks so much to how kind they are <3 KYAA~ The sponge suit! 100% rooting for Kotsume even if his success = him leaving. At least Yukimura-san is good about bringing characters back around (Hercules and Holly!). I pre-ordered the next one already because I *need* it.
One of my favorite volumes of Colette. After wondering who the woman was from Itan's perspective, it turns out she's also one of Colette's fellow apprentices. I'm really happy with the continuation of Colette's sibling relationship. Besides that, I also like Colette's arc where she goes to the beach and meets Otter. Otter's struggle to become a good servant is touching because he's small and often makes mistakes. Charon's interactions with Holly, fellow servants, are also adorable. I can't wait for the story to continue.
This one continued the story of her former apothecary where she used to work and the people there and then a new otter character.
There was one chapter really about Hades and Colette which is why I am reading this story. This volume just had too little of what I am here for and I hope the next one has more. We didn't deal at all with Hades fear that he brought up in the previous volume which I think is the over arching issue to solve.
sooo cute. the addition of Kotome is adorable. I wish he would stay on tge underworld instead of going back to poseídon. changing topics there were not enough colettexhades moments. I hope there is more on the next volume.
