An important overview of 2SLGBTQ+ history in Edmonton. Reads more like a textbook than I was hoping for. It seems obvious that this is a series of articles or pieces from the Edmonton Queer History Project website, rather than a cohesive standalone book. Quite a bit of repetitive facts said in almost the exact same way across various chapters (“Michael Phair was on city council from 1997 - 2002”), Still, a useful and hopeful book, and I learned more about Edmonton’s 2SLGBTQ+ community.
