"I am much more than the way that I look And these lines on my face are like lines from a book That holds all the tales of the things gone before me So come, take a seat, and I'll tell you my story"
Words to Remember is the fifth collection by Becky Hemsley. It is a collection of poems to remind you that, throughout the highs and lows and the light and dark of life, you matter. Containing poems such as 'These Lines', 'Worries' and 'Just Bring Yourself', this book will feel like having a cup of tea with your best friend.
Author of poems such as Breathe, Like a Girl and Quietly, Becky's work has been comforting and inspiring readers for the past three years, and Words to Remember is full of important messages to keep comforting, keep inspiring, and to help you feel at peace with yourself.
I've been so excited for this one! but there also comes the trepidation that maybe it won't be as good as you anticipated. But oh it definitely was. Becky has a magical way with words. From love, hope, believing in yourself and the hard times there are many beautiful poems in this thst are worth remembering.
I've shared just a couple of my favourites. If you're looking to get into a new genre this year I highly recommend Becky for poetry. Her words are mesmerising and empowering.
Whenever I was lost or feeling big feelings and didn't know who to talk to or how to express myself before I used to find songs that had something I felt. These days I go straight for a Becky book because no matter what I'm feeling she always has the right words.
