***SPOILERS***
Selena's Men by Elle Boon is a different take on Greek mythology and very worth the time to read. Ms. Boon takes you on a journey of two men created by the Father of the Gods, Zeus. You see a different side of the gods not portrayed in other novels (one series that comes to mind is the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon). These two men, Max and Malcolm part of the group called Ravens of War are searching not only for Zeus's long lost daughter but their 'fated', the one that will complete them in a triad (essentially their soulmate). There are lots of hot love scenes as well as action throughout this story. I can't wait to see what happens next for this author as well as what happens in the next book Two for Tamara.

My Rating: ★★★★
VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 star book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.
Selena's Men: Ravens of War was a smartly written sexy menage romance story that contained a bit of everything -- myth and legend, gods and goddesses, good vs. evil, sexy twins, and a band of equally sexy immortal warriors. Elle Boon spins a tale that puts a creative spin on the tale of the Greek gods and the titans. But, the story is less about the gods and the "human" who the story centers on, Selena Ramos.

Selena was a smart and sassy business owner who was supported by her clairvoyant bestie, Tamara Mejia. After the death of her parents, the Mejia's grafted Selena into their family since she was all alone in the world. Selena and Tamara had a successful chain of "Coyote Ugly" type restaurants called Redneck Paradise. Looking to expand into Kansas City brings Selena into direct contact with the King brothers -- Malcolm and Max. The Kings are part of a twelve member immortal team of warriors created by Zeus in the battle against his father Cronus. After they seemingly vanquish Cronus and his band of followers, the warriors are dropped into earth to find Zeus abducted daughter. A side bonus was that they would also find their Fated among the humans. After giving up hope that they would find their Fated, Malcolm and Max begin to share dreams of a silver-haired beauty who smells of honey and strawberries. The dreams between the triad grow steamier and steamier but always leave the men wanting because they wake up before satiation can be acquired. Little do they know those dreams are shared by one Selena Ramos. Fate brings the three together when Selena contacts a property developer about helping her to find available space in the Kansas City area. That developer turns out to be none other than Malcolm King. The auditory attraction between Selena and Malcolm is instant and visceral. In very short order, Selena shares a similar reaction when she speaks to Max for the first time. When the three meet for the first time, sparks fly and fly and fly! But fate is a cruel mistress sometimes, too. Just as the men accept the reality that they have their Fated, evil forces conspire to rip her away from them.

I enjoyed this story because it contained more than a sexy tale about three people sharing hot times between the sheets. Oh sure...make no mistake that there was plenty of one-on-one and three-on-three action between them, but the story built upon the brilliant attraction between them. Now, for those of you who hate stories with insta-love, Selena's Men does contain a bit of that. *Groan*...I know...I know! But, give this book a shot because Boon balances it well within the story. It doesn't happen right at the beginning or at the end. Acknowledgements of love are made at a very dramatic point in the story and it's not done in a syrupy manner. It's a recognition of feelings that have been present and growing all along. And, you have to understand that these are not normal men so...there :).

I also enjoyed the banter between the characters in this story. Max was a nut but he definitely was a great balance to Malcolm's more series mien. I also liked that Zeus and Hera were completely likeable in this story. Their relationship was not the contentious relationship you often read about the couple. They were loving and committed to one another in the story and it added a level of sweetness to the story. Especially since Zeus was Mr. Stay Puft Marshmallow. *smile*

I look forward to seeing what the author has in store for Tamera and Rafe and Jaklyn and Greyson. Their stories should be fun to read as well.

Ms. Boon takes a greek myth and spins it into a wonderful love story. Two hot has Hades Ravens sent to Earth to find a Goddess, literally find the woman of their dreams. Selena is a successful bar owner who has been having awsome dreams without the payoff. When she finally meets Max and Mal, it is like they are heaven sent.

This is Elle's first book and I loved it. It kept me interested. I rooted for Max and Mal to save the damsel in distress and rooted for Salena for not needing them to save her. This book was as well written as any veteran author. I can't wait to see what happens with Tam. I can't wait to see what the real deal is with Jaklyn.

Selena's Men gets 4 Hearts from me! An excellent first book for Ms. Boon!

Selena's Men, is a M/F/M of Godly proportions. Selena is an out going, independent business woman, who has a hidden past. Max and Malcolm twin brothers, polar opposites of each and sent literally from the heavens above by the Gods. Selena's Men is a modern day story of the Gods of Mt. Olympus come to Earth. Max and Malcolm, are part of a specialized group of protectors of the Gods called the Ravens, sent by Zeus himself to find his kidnapped daughter and on an endless search to find their Fated. This book had a little bit of everything, steamy sex scene, mystery and humor. I loved this read, the most for the comical interactions between the characters. A definite read for someone who wants a little bit of everything in a sexy romance book.

I finally got around to reading Elle's first Raven's of War book and though it is not what I am used to reading from her I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As a fan of Greek mythology I love stories like this and found the twists great and the story very entertaining.

Loved Selena and her men and found Zeus highly entertaining.

Update.

I just reread this book and loved it just as much as I did the first time around.

I love that Selena is not a silly 'independent woman' she balances herself and the men out well.

I've always enjoyed Greek mythology so I had an interest in this book right out of the gate. But Elle Boon took that to a whole new level by putting her personal stamp on this story in a way you'll never forget. Set some time aside before you pick this one up as you'll never want to put it down. Excellent read. I just loved it. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Elle Boon, as a new (to me) author, but I shouldn't have been concerned. Selena's Men has all sorts of things I liked - romance, sex hot enough to fry an egg, and a plot filled action and suspense. It didn't hurt that the author chose to set this book (and subsequent installments in the Ravens of War series) in a world where modern day man and the Greek pantheon live side by side.

The premise of the story is simple. Soldiers no longer needed by Zeus for their divine created purpose, were sent to Earth to live out their immortal existence in search of their mated - called the Fated. Max and Malcolm, Ravens who also happen to be twins, have almost given up hope in finding their mate, and have the added stress of working tirelessly to locate the kidnapped daughter of the King of the Gods. You'd think that the tale would be straightforward and boring, but I assure you it was nothing of the sort! There were enough twists and turns to make this an enjoyable read. Even when I suspected where it was headed, the plot was engaging enough that I didn't mind at all.

When writing in the ménage genre, it's so easy to fall into the trap of allowing the sex to be the main focus of the story. Ms. Boon made sure to craft characters that were relatable and riveting, and create a plot where, while there were some steamy sex, it was an enhancement to the overall tale, not the sole focus. Selena was the perfect heroine; intelligent, self assured, and successful in her career. She wasn't in a place emotionally where she was looking for romance or a partner to share her life with, but it just made me love her all the more. Max and Malcolm were all of those things as well, but beginning to show the wear and tear that occurs when you've lived centuries in search of an elusive mate. I had a great time watching the story play out between the three of them, and found the sexual tension only added to the experience.

Heck, I even liked the secondary characters! Tamara, Selena's best friend and business partner, as a "take no prisoners" girl with a paranormal twist, and Rafe and Vin, two fellow Ravens, have the makings of a great second installment. Elle Boon has a win on her hands with Selena's Men, and I can't wait to read more about the Ravens of War.

Marie's Tempting Reads Review:

This is Elle Boon's Debut Novel called Selena's Men. It is about a group of warriors created by Zeus, called the Ravens of War. This first story in the Series is about Max and Malcolm King, brothers that are looking for their Fated, as all Ravens of War are, and they end up finding her in a beautiful woman named Selena Ramos, who also happen to be the missing daughter and Goddess Zeus is looking for.
You can definitely tell Max and Malcolm are close siblings. They rely and depend on each other and they know that they will share their fated. They are both extremely HOT looking warriors. Max is the leader of the group of warriors and the most serious one of the brothers. I found Malcolm to be the more fun and mischievous one but no less good looking.

Selena is from Texas and is one spitfire of a woman. She has GORGEOUS silver hair and is the most beautiful woman Max and Malcolm have ever seen. She also happens to be the very woman both brothers have dreamed about.

Selena's Men is a well-written, sexy read, with lots of HOT sex, sexy warriors, humor, and the paranormal elements all paranormal romance junkies enjoy. The only thing that bothered me about the story was I felt that there was little romancing Selena, just sex, then BAM, they are all claiming to love each other.
I thought everything progressed well from the beginning up to the point where they met Selena. Then things moved just a tad too fast.
With that said, I give Selena's Men a GREAT FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS. This could EASILY have been a five stars if there was more romancing in between the bouts of sex.

I think Selena's Men is a wonderful first novel and I absolutely enjoyed this book! I am SO curious to see a story on Grayson and Jaklyn along with Selena's best friend, Tamara. This story is S-E-X-Y! A worthy read indeed!

I read this book a while back and I am just now getting around to posting the review.

I received this book in place of an honest review. Everything I say is my own ideas.

Selena Ramos is just a normal everyday woman from Earth and just doing normal things. She never thought she would meet men like Max and Malcolm King. It is like they are sent from the Gods above. Max and Malcolm are sent from Zeus to find his daughter and they will do anything to find and save her.

I will tell you that you will have some surprises while reading this book. I want so bad to tell you everything but I won't do that to you. I will just say that the big sexy men will be in for the ride of their lives and learn some new things that they didn't even know. I will say that this book is full of combustible chemistry and you can see and feel it from the first moment you start to read it. I wanted this book to last a long time and I also wanted to see what the ending would be like.

I feel very lucky that I got to read the first book that this author put out and I will be going crazy wondering what she will write next. Will it have more sex and spice in it and if the next couples have as much chemistry as these characters. I love reading books that have the God's in them. You never know what Zeus will be doing next.

So I am now leaving this review so that I can read more. Yes this book deals with threesomes, what other people would call menages. I will say to at least give this author a chance and I know you will love her books.

I really enjoyed this book and congratulations to Ms Boon on a very successful debut ...

This was not the usual 'wham, bam, thank you Ma'am' Siren Menage story. Ms Boon did a commendable job of world building and setting the stage for the rest of the series.

The plot, albeit predictable in some respects, was very well written, it fully captured my attention and was thankfully well edited. One of my greatest peeves is badly edited/proofread books.

The interaction between the characters had me laughing out loud for most of the book and I loved the exchanges between Zeus, Hera and the rest of the gang.

The passion was sizzling without thankfully overwhelming the story line. However, it does have to be noted that those Ravens are "Hawt"! I've gotta get me one or two of them Lol!!

Selena and Tamara both had the right amount of sass and attitude without it being overdone and again it gave credence to to the storyline. The introduction of Jaklyn leads me to believe there is also a story for her in the future and I can't wait to read both her's and Tamara's story.

If you like reading about hot men, sassy females, menage and of course not forgetting those pesky Gods (both good and bad), all whilst wiping tears of laughter from your eyes or at least chuckling .... then this is the book for you.

Selena Ramos is a woman on a mission. She is looking for property in Kansas City to open another one of her bars in. Little does she know what is in store for her.

Malcolm King is a property developer. and his brother, Max has the perfect spot for Selena. They both are drawn to her from just speaking to her on the phone. They aren't your average guys. They are twins and they are Zeus' Ravens of War. That's right they were made by the gods. They have been sent to earth to find Zeus' missing daughter. They also have been looking for their fated for a long time.

Once the three meet there is instant chemistry. Ladies get a fan out and a big drink. This is very steamy and I was fanning myself just reading it. The guys seem to have claimed Selena as their own but she is so feisty she has a hard time believing it to be true.

The men come under attack and fight to protect Selena. Little do they know Selena has a secret too. One she doesn't even fully know. Then throw Zeus and Hera in the mix and this makes for an amazing book. I do love reading about the different gods. It is nice to see that they have the same emotions we as humans do in this book.

Elle Boon did a great job with this series. You have to hurry out and get this book. I couldn't put it down and I can't wait to get the next book.
I highly recommend it.

Where to begin? First let me say I think Ms. Boon has a wonderful world she created with her Ravens. I can clearly see her skyrocketing up there with these guys. Her plot line isn't just a romance between two hot twin brothers and a lucky lady, but a very complex battle. Her descriptions are very well thought out, making the reader feel as though they are right there.

The book is about Selena Ramos who grew up believing she was abandoned as a baby, but was lucky enough to be adopted by a loving family. Now, almost 25yrs later she and her best friend Tamara own a string of clubs, the newest one opening in Kansas City. She employs one King brother to procure the place and the other King brother happens to own it. Prior to actually meeting they all have erotic dreams, but until they meet for the first time they didn't realize she was their Fated.

When they do finally get to meet, the sexual tension is so immediate and overwhelming none of them could deny themselves. The King brothers will have to battle Zeus himself to keep the woman meant for them, while saving Earth in the process.

I’ve always loved stories about Gods and their petulant behavior, self-importance and irresistible urge to meddle in all things human.

So finding out that these all-powerful beings bred a handful of god-like men to do their bidding, but found them lacking as lifelong partners was definitely not a surprise; however casting them aside once their usefulness was exhausted seemed painfully unjust.

Left on Earth to supposedly find their one true love, the Ravens have all but given up hope after millenniums of agonising loneliness. But it seems their mission to find Zeus`long lost child, may just be the answer to uncovering their very own treasure.

Max and Malcolm King discover they are sharing the same erotic dreams of a gorgeous woman, with no knowledge of who she is or why she dominates their every waking thought.

But when their earthly job brings them face to face with Selena Ramos, the attraction is explosive and possession of this angelic creature is their primary objective.

Selena’s Men is full of captivating characters, an enthralling storyline, and the ability to launch an amazing new series!!

I hope you love it as much as I did.

Max and Malcolm King have been searching for their 3rd for so long they have almost given up. As top warriors, they not only need to find their mate but they are tasked with a job that is looking to be impossible. They know they are meant to share a woman and are getting frustrated with not finding her. However, one phone call changes everything and the fates might have a plan after all.

Selena is having some of the most delicious dreams that feel so real but in the light of the day she is just a happy business woman. With the prospect of opening up a new restaurant, she has a lot on her plate. Meeting the King men weren't on her to do list, but she doesn't mind putting them there.

I loved everything about their first meeting. I loved the heat, the protectiveness, the alphaness from the men and also the sass from Selena.

This is book one in a new series and you get glimpses of the others that I hope will get their own books. This looks to be a really fun and suspenseful series.

My first Elle Boon book but not the last. I had received this as a gift from a friend - who knew I enjoyed menages books - and as soon as I was done I went to the Siren page and grabbed the next 3! And in fact I actually own every single one of her other books too even though I haven't had a chance to read them (stupid busy/painful reality).

I love the concept of this and the whole tantalizing story it sets up as we see the Ravens come to the aid of each of these women who are pawns and/or unknown vicitims in this war between Zeus and Chronos. The sex scenes are explicit - this is Siren we are talking about - but in this there is absolutely no inappopriate touching between the brothers (which would have flipped me OUT!).

I can't wait to get into the rest of this series and the rest of her works.

Omg this book is great

Omg this book is great

Max and Malcolm born of the godesses into Zeus's elite ravens. They helped him defeat cronus and send him to shell, but cronus snuck back into Olympus and stole the daughter of Zeus and Hera the godess of the moon.

Selena found by two of the best parents that sadly were older and passed away. She opens country bars and is looking for a new one in Kansas city. she contacts max king to find a building.

The one thing a 3 have in common sexy dreams. Max and Malcolm hope it will be to find their Fated.

As the 12 ravens look for the lost godess before she turns 25 and destroys the earth when she comes into her powers.

This book is awesome I loved every bit and can't wait to read the next in this series

I was surprised by how quickly I finished reading this book; it’s paced very quickly and so everything happens fast but there’s never a dull moment and the action doesn’t let up (a very good thing). I almost had a hard time believing how quickly Selena fell for Max and Malcolm, but the way they cared for her and would do anything to protect her (not to mention pleasure her), it became easy to see how quickly a girl could fall for these two hot warriors. The sex is hot and I really couldn’t put this book down.

There was one thing that went unresolved in this book, but after a quick search on Amazon, it looks like it'll be resolved in the next one. SO...I can’t wait for the next one!

For a debut novel Ms. Boon rocked. I loved the world she created and the spin she gave us on the gods and goddesses. The storyline was so different than any I've read, and believe me I read A LOT. I loved the romance and interaction between Max, Selena, and Malcolm and the steamy, knock your socks off sex was HOTTTT! The story isn't just about a ménage though, there is a power struggle that she describes so graphically I could picture it. Her secondary characters who I hope get their own books were wonderful, but my favorite was Zeus. I truly loved this book and am looking forward to the next in this series.

Will the real Selena please stand up

What a delicious read. I love the tease at the beginning where these three never quite get a chance to connect. Then how we get another tease about two more possible connections, ohhh it just keeps you on the edge of your ereader. This book has some great action scenes, steamy moments of heat and a reunion that brings tears to the eye. The perfect addition to any library. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
