This book is very funny and a good short read. It is about a British 13-year-old girl who is a bit crazy and very prone to embracement. She is just about to celebrate Christmas with her family of 5 when so many unexpected extended family quests come, including her very annoying little cousin from Australia. This is the fifth book in the series and I would recommend reading them if you are up for some laughs.

AMAZING!!!! I’ve now read all the lottie brooks books and they are all incredible!! You should definitely read them if you’re age 9+ probably. I’m rather sad that I’ve finished it now tbh, but at least that’s another book to add to my goal. Read these books and they will lighten your mood a lot. They did for me.

JAKIE TO BYŁO ŻENUJĄCE. W pozytywnym tego słowa znaczeniu 😂
To była moja pierwsza przygoda z Lottie i kurde, muszę Wam powiedzieć, że będę nadrabiać wcześniejsze tomy!
Bo tak, ta książka to kolejne przygody zakręconej dziewczyny, ale da się ją czytać jako samodzielną i dobrze się bawić. Lecz nie ukrywam, że brakowało mi trochę wiedzy na temat poprzednich wydarzeń, wolałabym lepiej rozumieć niektóre relacje, a tak to pozostało mi się skupić na tym co jest tu i teraz.
A tak serio, nie wyobrażam sobie by młodszej młodzieży miało się to nie spodobać. Autentycznie oczami wyobraźni widzę dzieciaki, które nie mogą powstrzymać się od śmiechu w trakcie lektury!
Jeśli lubicie Mikołajka, to to też Wam się spodoba 😎 (Żeby nie było, Mikołajek to wciąż mój nr 1)
Jest tu wszystko, zabawne przemyślenia, żenujące sytuację i dialogi (no dobra, nieraz dialogi mnie przerastały i to dla mnie jedyny minus, ale ja podobno nie mam dystansu 😂), relacje rodzinne, CHAOS, a co najważniejsze, to ŻYCIOWA NAUKA. Naprawdę, na dodatek na koniec książki jest bezpośrednia wzmianka na temat tego czego młodzież mogła się z tej książki nauczyć! Aaaaaa, kocham. No i szata graficzna jest super, mamy krótkie zapiski z pamiętnika, rozmowy na komunikatorach, ilustracje. Książka z serii, która sama się czyta.

Welcome to Christmas, Lottie-style, aka CHAOS. I was just laughing so hard at all the things that happened in this one, from glitter poop to sudden family members to French boyfriend and family and all the chaos that brings to Elf on the Shelf being eaten by nieces and hamsters to some sweet stuff between Daniel and Lottie (I was so rooting for them to be together again) to fun friendship stuff (well OK Amber can fuck off) to baby Bella and her wonderful word, and a lot of more chaotic fun. I laughed so so much while reading this one, Lottie surely has a wonderful life full of chaotic things. I was happy btw that her mom forgave her, to be honest it wasn't Lottie's entire fault. Then again, Antoine is an ass.
And here is my constant reminder: hamsters shouldn't live together. Hamsters should have a cage each. It is 2025 it is time to get this right, please.

Look, I'm a good 30 years too old to be in the target demographic for the book, but I can see exactly why kids LOVE this series. It's hilarious from start to finish, and it also features a protagonist who's very deeply human and messy and more than a little bit bonkers.
Between the Elf on the Shelf and the glittery poo in the Quality Street box, I laughed until I was nearly in tears.

Mam mieszane uczucia.
Z jednej strony kocham tę serię, ale z drugiej zaś mam wrażenie, że z każdym tomem idziemy coraz bardziej w dół i poziom z tego tomu nie dorównuje pierwszemu. Humor robi się bardziej żenujący, a wydarzenia - w znacznym stopniu absurdalne. Zdaję sobie sprawę z tego, że jest to literatura dziecięca, która rządzi się swoimi prawami, no ale kurczę, jeśli początki tej serii były dla mnie takie ekscytujące to dlaczego jej dalsza część już taka nie jest??? Mam wrażenie, że łatwiej byłoby mi uwierzyć w te wszystkie sytuacje gdyby Lottie nadal miała 12 lat albo gdyby uczyła się na błędach.
Teraz tak z zupełnie innej beczki - dlaczego tom 5 został wydany w Polsce przed tomem 4? Rozumiem, że znajomość wydarzeń z 4 tomu nieszczególnie wpływa na odbiór tego, ale nadal pozostaje pytanie - dlaczego??
Uwielbiam ten cykl książek całym sercem, więc na pewno będę kupować i czytać następne tomy, które mam nadzieję (oby nie złudną), że nie będą zawodziły mnie tak jak ten.

You know when you come across a series that you know will make you laugh? Lottie Brooks is that series for me. These are silly and funny. Lottie gets herself into some festive mishaps this time round… and definitely shouldn’t bury her head in the sand! I love the illustration style of this too… cause let’s be honest: stick men are about as good as I can draw, ha!
