The Good: I received this from Netgalley as an ARC. I’m a big fan of paranormal romance, and this is one of the better efforts I’ve read lately! The story sucked me in and I had to leave in the middle of reading it, but was anxious to get back and finish. I liked the world that the author has created, though I wish I knew a bit more about it (I’ve not read the first book in the series and still enjoyed this book #2). The characters were interesting and engaging, as was the storyline, so I think this series has great potential, especially as the author grows as a writer.
The Bad: The book was a tad uneven. The story was really interesting, but I really wish there was more depth to the scenes. We are whisked from one place to another and not always really sure why. Scenes that are very important (the H/H’s 1st real fight, the climax with the missing heroine, etc) are much too fast and occasionally leave you wondering what exactly happened. It didn’t limit my enjoyment of the book, but more in depth scenes would make a more emotional impact as well as taking the books to the next level.
Bottom line: Worth giving a shot – author/series has great potential!
Aglow is part of a series Apotheosis but can be read as a standalone. Paranormal romance the descendants of fallen angels. Interesting story about fight good against evil and eternal love.

I REALLY wanted to fall in love with this book but I just couldn't. The writing was good and I even liked Marcus but it all together just didn't click for me.
I really liked Marcus. He was confident, sexy, and witty. Marcus made me want to finish the book, he was my driving force. The premise of the book is what made me want to read it and it started off so strong, but then it just lost it for me. My love of Marcus, the decent writing, and the strong beginning makes me give this novel a comfortable 3 stars.
Marcus is on the island to find Camilla, his mate. It was supposed to be easy but he gets caught up in Tensia’s web thanks to that ego of his. She goes after Cami and tries to keep him locked up for her own twisted game. He has to find a way off the island with his woman in tow. Unfortunately things don’t go as planned and he drags his partner Jason into it all. His plane gets blown up and Cami gets captured. They barely escape with their lives and crisscross hopping planes to cover their tracks. They make it safely to Las Vegas. Marcus is determined to bond with Cami. She has been saving herself for marriage and after a night of nervous drinking, she finds herself married to Marcus. After her anger subsides from her fairytale being dashed, things get weird. A woman appears and falls at Marcus’ feet exhausted asking for help. While Marcus helps Dawn, Cami disappears. Marcus finds her is a seedy bar dancing on stage like a stripper. She has been possessed by darkness. Marcus is determined to find out what is going on. It turns out that Cami’s powers make her a purifier where she absorbs the darkness from others. Marcus is forced to watch and even help her through her dark Cami times. The woman who fell at his feet, Dawn, is someone that they have been searching for. Unfortunately she brings a dark demon to their door. Shayde is her soulmate and Stephen’s father. He is after both Dawn and Stephen to further his power and his legacy. Shayde is someone that Marcus and his family need to protect Stephen from. They know that the fight has just begun. This is the second book of the series. I did not read the first book and I would recommend doing so. I think I would have understood more of the story if I had. The backstory of members of Marcus’ adopted family would have explained the fallen angel idea more to me. So definitely read the first book. The storyline is an interesting one. I like the idea of characters who are fallen angels with powers fighting their own darkness. They search for their soulmates which will strengthen their powers and awaken their soulmates powers. Shayde embraced his darkness and became evil devouring humans. However the main characters of this story, Marcus and Camilla, were a bit annoying to me, especially Camilla. Her innocence was a bit unbelievable for me. I couldn’t picture how naïve she came across. In fact it annoyed me in her reactions to things. Marcus seemed to be obsessed with sex and the sex scenes basically took over the storyline. In fact it tended to get in the way, in my opinion. I like good sex scenes in a story but I don’t want them to overwhelm what else is going on and I felt in this case they did. I give this book a 3 out of 5.
I received this book in exchange for an honest opinion from Netgalley.
Marcus knew his way around women and he had many. That all changed for him when he saw her......
Camilla worked in the town library and volunteered at the local hospital reading to the kids a couple of times a week. She and Marcus had a mutual friend, Nicholas, and Marcus was waiting for him to introduce them.
Once, they passed each other getting off/on the elevator and she didn't even notice him. How could she not? All women noticed him and besides, she was his soul mate! Something had to be done and soon.
She goes on vacation on a small Island, a private Island. She meets a woman Tensie who invites her to dinner but she has a really bad feeling of something bad. She quickly says that she has plans and runs into her hotel room and Tensie's goons smash in her door Alas, Marcus is also there and after stopping the goons, he throws her over his shoulder, grabs her beach bags and runs..
This is how they meet. He has a lot to explain to her, the fact that she is half angel and his soul mate and once they consummate they will be together for a long time to come. Also that after consummation, he powers will eventually appear. He will also have to explain to her how not all of their kind are good, that some chose the dark side . All she knows right now is the attraction she has to him.
I did like this book but it felt a bit disjointed at times. I think it could have been smoother. I liked the story and loved Marcus and Camilla together. I could truly feel that they were soul mates but that they had some rocky times to get through, namely her powers and her being able to control them.
The other characters are written well. Shayde is the ultimate evil man, only caring about what he wants and needs. Tensie, his niece, is almost as bad with her attitude. Nicholas, Chelsea, Zander, Grayce and Stephen are all good people.
What freaked me a bit was the repercussions of Camilla's power and how Marcus deals with it, even though she encourages it. Later we find that Camilla loves his way of "dealing with it". I don't think I cared for it too much. It did end once she learned how to control her powers though.
3.5 stars I'm not sure what to think about this book. I liked the premise of angels and demons - I'm as much a fan of supernatural as the next Supernatural fan... but I didn't quite connect with this the way I'd like to. It was a good start on the island and the incident that puts Cami and Marcus on the page together is a lot of fun... but it just left me a little bit flat from halfway through. I struggled with Marcus addressing Gabi as 'Angel' and I struggled with Gabi addressing Marcus as 'Husband'... the 'demon Cami' got a bit too out-there for me, and turned the book into a bit of a sex-fest. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a sex-fest, but somehow the chemistry here just left me short and I didn't believe it. I did find the character of the boy, Stephen, and the secondary characters of Dawn, Shayde, Grayce etc intriguing, and I enjoyed the banter between both Zander and Marcus, and Marcus and Jason. So it was good, but not great for me.
Aglow is the second book in the Apotheosis series and my first book by Krissy Daniels. I love paranormal romance and I did liked this one to but... I kinda got lost once the story picked up, I don't know why but it just happened. I liked Marcus, his confidence, he's witty and sexy and you really want to lick him:-D The writing is good and the heroine, Camilla is nice. She's a librarian and volunteer at the local hospital, this is also how Marcus sees her the first time and realize that she's his soulmate. Would I read it again? NO Would I recommend it? YES...it wasn't the right story for me but maybe is for you , worth giving it a try!

Camilla and Marcus' story. Following in the same footsteps as the author's previous novel, this one follows through the meeting of soul mates (Cami and Marcus) and takes them through the trials and challenges of their happily ever after. Shayde and Dawn make an appearance in this book as well (will we get more on their story??). Marcus is a playboy who gets set on his backside after seeing his mate for the first time at the hospital and follows her to make her his. The author paints a picture of both of them and Marcus is truly droolable. Cami is sweet and innocent and has a power that ....well.....you'll have to read it to find out :) Definitely looking forward to reading another one of Krissy Daniels books! ***Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
I didn't read the back of the book so imagine my surprise when this was a supernatural book...a nice surprise for sure. I would suggest reading book one first as I some things would have made more sense earlier on for me. Marcos is a player and has no desire to settle down till he comes across Camilla. When he meets her, he realizes this is his mate but Camilla has other ideas. She has no idea who or what he is and won't sleep with him till they're married. Marcos refuses the advances of a demon which really pisses her off so she kidnaps Camilla as revenge. Marcos has to find Camilla so she can save humanity from evil. Good read!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed he action of book two more so than the action of book one. I like that haven read the first book I was aware of the characters since there wasn't as much detail about them in the second one. Although there was plenty of action there is no real detail and depth given to the characters. While I enjoyed the book I wish there could be more to the "soul mates" than amazing sex.
Maybe it's my mood but I can't keep going. I didn't like that I began this book thinking it was one story when there are actually two of them. This first story (that is on the synopsis) was ok, but the second one... I had no idea what was going on half the time. So, I'm sorry but I'm DNFing this
The story was interesting, but I found myself really looking forward to the scenes of Marcus and Camilla. There were about 6 f-bombs dropped every page that made it read a bit awkward. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I found myself at time truly LOL-ing...
Camilla is half angel. Camilla works at the Town Library and volunteers at the local hospital. Marcus had been a playboy with no desire to settle down until he seen Camilla at the hospital Camilla goes on vacation on a small island. Marcus goes to the island to find Camilla who is his soulmate. On the island Camilla meets Jessica but Camilla has a bad feeling about Jessica and gets away from her as soon as she can. Then Camilla goes back to the hotel and Tensia smashes in her door but Marcus is there and literally grabs Camilla and runs. Marcus goes to the island to find his mate Camilla. Marcus is determined to bond with Camilla who is still a virgin as she believed in saving herself until marriage. But because of his ego Marcus gets caught up in Tensia’s web. Tensia keeps Marcus locked up and goes and kidnaps Camilla..Tensia is Shayde’s niece. Now Marcus has to find a way off the island and get Camilla and take her with him. Jason is Marcus’s partner and gets dragged into this too. Jason’s plane gets blown up gets captured. They barely escape but they do make it to Vegas. . Marcus is opposite of Camilla who is a good girl and always plays by the rules. After too much nervous Camilla ends up married to Marcus. After marrying and having sex with Marcus Camilla comes into new powers that she doesn’t know how to control yet. They have been searching for Dawn. After gets over her anger a woman-Dawn shows up and falls exhausted at Marcus’s feet and asks for help. But Dawn brings a dark demon with her. Shayde is an evil demon and Dawn’s soulmate and Stephan’s father. He is after Dawn and Stephen for his power and his legacy. Marcus has to protect Stephan from Shayde. While Marcus helps Dawn Camilla disappears. When Marcus finds her she is in a dive bar dancing on a stage. Camilla had been possessed by darkness Camilla is a purifier and she absorbs darkness from others. I had mixed feelings about this book. I did like reading it but i won’t be rereading it. It was an O K book but not grreat and I didn’t love it. And did have some issues with it. I advise you to read the first book in this series for a smoother read. I did like the plot. But this dragged for me at times. Also it was a little hard to understand at times. I liked there was a lot of action. I did feel they didn’t need as many sex scenes as this book had. I also felt Dark Camilla was a little too far fetched and it annoyed me a bit. But having mated and loosing her virginity was a new way to bring on powers and I liked that. But as I said I had mixed feelings
