Saidee McVeigh returns to her family’s forgotten mansion, where strange forces begin pulling her deeper into its dark history. As she uncovers secrets long buried, Saidee is drawn to Percival, a mysterious figure tied to her bloodline in ways she can’t fully comprehend. Bound by an irresistible connection, she must confront a choice that will alter her life forever, one that promises love, but comes at a dangerous cost. In the shadows of the mansion, nothing is as it seems, and some bonds can never be broken.
So after her grandmother died, Saidee inherited her house…a house that someone called “that” house in passing! Once Saidee moves in weird things happen…she sees “ghost” and is instantly met with an intense force and she doesn’t know whether to be scared or turned on. 🤣 I was seriously spooked out. It was a good, fast-paced short story. It wasn’t long enough for me honestly. I could’ve received more.
Endless Possession is a short Vampire story with a gothic vibes full of romance with a hint of mystery! It’s short novella I enjoyed for spooky season!
I stepped out of my comfort zone with this one, as I normally don't read this genre. However, Kyeate has been good to me in the past, so I thought I would try it out. Okay, this thang had me spooked alright. Turning down the sound of the tv and listening for sounds in the house like a crazy person! 😂
Saidee has experienced so much hurt, pain, and loss in her life, from being orphaned, abandoned by her surviving family, and dumped by her boyfriend; that she just needs a restart in life. She accepts the old family mansion that no one else will touch with a ten-foot pole and makes it her own. There have been rumors for years about the house being haunted, and strange things happening there, but I ain't scared of no ghosts, she thinks. However, when she gets there, she immediately feels that she is not alone, and the strange happenings begin right before her eyes.
When she sees a man ride up to the house in a horse drawn carriage with a top hat on, she knows she has lost her damn mind. This man looks like he is from the 19th century! 👀
Percival Grant has been waiting decades for the right McVeigh woman to come to the mansion for him to claim. He now knows it is Saidee. Getting her onboard will another story. He will do all he can to show and prove to her that she is meant to be his forever.
Chile..... the way Saidee submits to this man no questions asked made me wonder, was she that lonely, was it the mansion, or was he really that charming? 😂 Cause the things that were happening around her, and what she witnessed should have scared the hell outta her, but she stayed put, right with him.
I must admit I was thoroughly entertained with this read, although some parts scared me a bit. 😨 Go head Kyeate, go head!! 😂👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Forgive me, but I disliked almost every aspect of Percival Grant. And maybe it's not just his character I didn't enjoy. Maybe it's the plot as well. A vampire/werewolf marries the women from the McVeigh bloodline, hoping to find his true match. Saidee, a lovely young woman from the city who has lost everyone, including her parents, opens her heart up to him and his story. Not only was he at various points genuinely unkind to her and all little snippy for someone who was giving him such grace, but this felt like pity love. Nowhere did they express such deep desire for each other (until after their bond where I'm sure magical connections took over). It felt like she was so alone she was willing to die for company. I'm sure others read it differently, but that's how I felt. I would love to read something else from this author because the writing was phenomenal, and I am sure they could kill a book with great characters and an actual romantic plot!
Yessss this was right on time…👏🏽 and now I need more like along the lines of her and him trying to help cross the spirits over or something🤔
Percy was not very nice but I can see why though and whole time I was on Henry side meanwhile they were the ones in the wrong 🤦🏽♀️ (felt like Sadiee needed that heads up even if it wasn’t ALL facts😂)
“Don’t believe everything you hear” 💎
Sadiee lord poor baby man to lose your parents in that way has got to be the worst ever and I honestly feel like that’s why she was so easily swayed by Percy because she was feeling the grief effects heavy especially being back in a childhood familiar place
Overall I give you a 4.5 Kyeate this was great 👍🏽 think about what I said on the part two idea 😉 😂
Also shoutout to you for releasing it early 🥳💃🏽💃🏽💛
Short, mysterious, everything I needed! This book covered one of my secret fantasies 🤫 Percival & Saidee had an instant unspoken bond. For him to say he thought the others were the one to me was a sign that he experienced the same loneliness she felt cause wtf???!!! Percy came to do what needed to be done & my girl Saidee stepped up & lived in her TRUE self! Great short read for October!
Percival did not play when it came to Saidee. Once he realized who she was to him, he wasn't letting anyone come between them. I felt bad for Saidee because she was truly alone, and no one was there for her. That changed when her family house gave her Percival. My favorite scene was when Percival showed up in the Nike track suit. Kyeate doesn't disappoint when it comes to a good Halloween short, and this was just as good as the others.
I loved every bit of this story…. After Sadiee’s parents died she was left her great-grandmother’s mansion. She hadn’t heard many good things about it but she was all alone. She didn’t expect much good to come from it but she wasn’t really prepared for all being in the house had in stored for her or her love life. Such an amazing short story must read!!! 💕
I’m still getting use to paranormal reads, & I usually only read them in October right before Halloween. But I will say this book was really good & thoroughly held my full attention from start to finish. Saidee was a real one, because I know I would have been deathly afraid of Percival.
I loved the journey to Saidee finding herself and the love of her life Dante deserved to die and Percy even though a little rough around the edges loved Saidee to literal life again. Beautiful!!
Every time around this year I be ready and waiting for a Kyeate book to drop. This was truly a great story. The way it flowed and just pulled you in was everything. I love Saidee ❤️
This was so good. I just wanted more lol. I feel like they have a story that could be 300 pages and I would read it all. Percy was just what Saidee needed and vice versa.
Idk… I felt like the love between Percival and Saidee was forced. He was desperate and she was lonely. I don’t understand the connection of the McVeigh bloodline with the Grants. That part confused me. Overall this was a ok read.
This is a good read when you need a quick paranormal fix. I liked the characters. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but I enjoyed it none the less.
This was a quick spooky read that my book club and I decided to sprint read together. It was decent but I was a little lost at the whole family tree and how the FMC's family was tied to the MMC. If the way I understood the connections is correct I will say that the line between the grandmother, granddaughter, and spirit living in the house confused me a bit.
Overall, it was a decent quick and spooky themed read.
