I wanted to read Caroline Redman Lusher’s autobiography about Rock Choir to find out more about the woman behind this phenomenal contemporary choir. Caroline does not hold back the difficult path she has trodden to make the Rock Choir what it is today. Her grit and determination to get where she has shines through from each page. I felt she was talking only to me. She cares deeply and passionately about all those involved in the choir and each and every member. It’s sometimes rather emotional when she reveals the long years trying for a family, I am so delighted she now is a Mum. Her leadership skills shine through, it’s a shame there are not more leaders like her, I love her leadership style. I loved hearing about her taste in music and each chapter is divided into songs that mean so much to her. It’s a beautifully written autobiography. I now feel I know Caroline so much better having read this. And yes I’m a Rockie which she so affectionately calls the members of Rock Choir.

I’m off to a Rock Choir You’re The Voice event tonight and thought I’d just have a brief read of this before I go. It’s midday and I’ve done nothing else this morning! .
It’s lovely to read about the birth and development of something which has provided me with so much fun and friendship for almost 7 years. It’s also testament to Caroline Redman Lusher, that there have been times when terrible things have been going on in her life, and she’s been able to still look after her team and the wider family of Rockies.
I have to admit to laughing out loud during the story of loads of middle aged drunken ladies in London after the first Proms in the Park. I hope it wasn’t my mum.
Lovely to read as a member of this special family, but also inspiring to those trying to follow a dream, seeing where it takes you.

An incredibly personal and revealing book. Part autobiography, part history of Rock Choir to date. Caroline outlines her upbringing musical career and musical career leading up to the birth of Rock Choir, its history since then - bumps and all.

The latter half of the book catalogues her difficulties having a child and the journey she and her husband, Stuart, took before the successful birth of her son Hamilton.

At times I felt the book could have been helped by stronger editing, but the book is written “from the heart”

Fabulous and moving

As a Rockie myself for the past 7 years I was looking forward to hear the story behind the choir I know and love. I was expecting to find it interesting to peek behind the scenes but I wasn't expecting it to be so entertainingly written and in places so raw and emotional. I raced through it in a day! Caroline's personality and philosophy shine through and it was a pleasure to share in her journey.

A warts and all account of an amazing life. A must-read for any Rockie. It is a very personal story from a woman who is so driven. She has made herself ill. But her journey and love for the work she does shine through. The members of Rock Choir , her Rockies, are so very important to her, as she is to us. A control freak? Perhaps, but being awarded an MBE in the King's New Year honours list speaks volumes. Thank you, Caroline.

This is an incredibly moving autobiography. Caroline is such an inspiration and such a visionary leader. It's a must read for anyone who loves singing, sings in a choir or for any entrepreneurs. She really wears her heart on her sleeve and is honest, transparent and you feel like you are right there with her when she tells her story. A feel-good, uplifting and inspiring book!

As a proud Rockie, this was a fascinating insight to everything Caroline has gone through to make Rock Choir the success it continues to be! Absolutely in tears at parts, she has laid herself bare letting us all in to the struggles she has experienced. I was privileged to meet her at Scarborough's You're The Voice Tour and she kindly signed me copy.

Completely biased, of course, because Rock Choir has brought so much to my life. But this was a joyful, heartbreaking, fascinating read from an incredible woman who has given so much to so many people.

(The only negative is that my interview got cut, but I'll forgive her 😂 😁)

Having been a Rockie for 10 years now I was interested to read Rock Choir’s story and Caroline’s. I am amazed at the journey Caroline has had and what a strong and very determined lady she is, not giving up on her dreams both professionally and personally. I absolutely love RC and can’t thank her enough for what she has given to me and the other 30k Rockies (and all the Charities RC supports) at such a cost to herself. A very open and honest book sharing her story and life long passion. Fabulous!
