Book One in the Unbreakable Series Unbreakable Devotion: Young Adult Romance
Devon and Erin have always been best friends, ever since they were kids.
Devon
Playing football at their high school, Devon is thrown into the cool kids' crowd without any warning. His new friends are rich, cool, and popular...everything Erin isn't. But even the hot cheerleaders throwing themselves at his feet can't stop him from thinking about Erin as more than just the girl next door he grew up with.
Erin
Erin has never been able to trust anyone. Her dad left her when she was young, and ever since then life has been a string of disappointments. The only thing holding her together through the struggles has been Devon. And now he's too good for her.
When Erin's world is shattered by a horrific event, Devon can't stop himself from getting involved, but will it rip apart their relationship forever in the process?
Nothing could break their friendship... until one summer changed everything.

Let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed this book ,,, it's a feel good romance ,,, although you can see the bonds and connections between the two characters they aren't quite there yet themselves ,,,
Erin and Devon have been friends for as long as they can remember sharing similar upbringings ,,, they have spent most of their lives together ,,, but now they are growing up and becoming a man and a woman ,,, things change ,,, their bodies and looks develop ,,, others take more interest
Promises were made by them to always stay friends ,,, but can their friendship survive?????
I literally have read this in a single sitting taking me just over an hour ,,, ok the book isn't the longest but I was gripped and wanted more ,,, this book doesn't have angst or suspense but the relationships between the characters will be enough to keep you reading ,,, it's like watching a good chick flick ,,, only your reading it ,,, there are 3 other books after this one ,,, and I'm straight onto number two now
I recommend this read ,,, it's an easy flowing read with a feel good element to it :)
This is a lovely story of childhood friends as they grow and mature. In this book, we get to enjoy the beginnings of that special chemistry that feels like first love.
These are too very young and inexperienced friends. They cherish their friendship above all, without doubt. As puberty has set in and transformed their bodies, those first tinglings of appeal and sexual interest are tactfully portrayed as we read both Erin's and Devon's POV.
So far in this seroes, I have found no indication to prevent young adult readers from enjoying it. These are two very responsible individuals going through the growing pains we all go through in our teen years.
I was given this book as a gift for an honest review, so here goes...
This book is about two friends who have grown up together and start to develop stronger feelings for each other but are too scared to act on them and tell each other how they really feel as it may ruin their friendship.
This is a good start to the series but I just hope as it continues that it becomes less high school and grows into adult romance as it needs a little more substance.
I will continue to read this series to see how it progresses. It is a good effort for a first time author.
This story was about childhood best friends Erin & Devon. They are both in single parent homes and have always been there for one another. As they get older, their feelings and attraction begins to grow and they start too see things that blur friendship lines. You get the POV from both Emma & Devon so it was good to watch the struggle in both their eyes. You will laugh and smile at their chemistry and grrrrrrrrrr when they can't seem to get it together.
Erin and Devon are childhood best friends. As years pass and they both mature into teenagers, feelings change from friendship to desire. Desire quickly changed to love. Yet both Erin and Devon are so scared to let each other know how they truly feel for fear of ruining their friendship forever. Ahh young love. This book was so good, a true page turner. I'm so glad it's a series and I'm ready for more!
A wonderful story of growing up together and discovering love. Erin and Devon are in high school and have been best friend since they were little kids, but they are discovering there may be more than friendship involved. I enjoyed this sweet read, both characters are fun and interesting and I enjoyed hearing each side as they try to find their way to love. Excellent Read.
***I was provided a copy of this book by the author for an honest review*** I would recommend if you enjoy series.I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. I fell in love with Erin and Devon and how they both grew up without a father and Mothers that had to work all the time. they became best friends.
Brilliant story I was gripped from the start!! Loved how the story was written for the points of view from each character! Was gutted with the cliffhanger and the end but do looking forward to reading the next book in the series
The young live theme was great. I really loved how the author made these two, Devon and Erin, were responsible and that needs to be shown more. I'm starting book 2 now
Book one in the Unbreakable series: 4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS In this book we meet Devon and Erin; they have been friends since childhood. They were there for each other during hard times when Erin’s dad left her and her mom and with Devon’s dad passed away. Throughout it all they have remained friends and strong support systems for each other. So when they started high school they were thrown into different directions, Devon into football and the ‘popular’ kids and Erin with her old friends. When they were kids Erin would say to Devon, “Promise me you’ll always be my best friend” Devon would respond, “I promise, Erin. Just like yesterday.” The friendship and support that Devon and Erin have for each other is amazing. They both have moms that work too hard trying to support them with single incomes and so they are not home very much. Throughout the book you experience the trials and tribulations of high school when the lines begin to blur between friendship and love. After Erin almost getting physically hurt on a date, it makes Devon re-evaluate his feelings and what he must do now to help and protect Erin. The book is told from the point of view of Erin and Devon. I enjoyed that it went back and forth because it helps the reader to gain more insight into each situation and how each of them feel at that moment. At the end of the book the cliffhanger about did me in, because it could go one of two ways. So needless to say, I had to read book 2 immediately following to find out the fate of the relationship/friendship of Devon and Erin.
**I was provided a copy of this book by the author for an honest review** * I am reviewing this book for Shanoff Says... on blogger & Facebook *
I really enjoyed this first book in the series. This is more of a serial series that it is a novel, there are 3 more books before you get to the ending. I enjoyed the storyline of this book and the characters are pretty well written. I liked that this story was the ground work leading up to two best friends deciding to turn their relationship into something more all the while being confused on what to do. There are common high school situations that the characters are put in and we get to see them work it out. Devon and Erin's characters are pretty easy to connect with right from the beginning.
The transitions are little hard to follow at times but I was able to catch up pretty quickly.
I really enjoyed the entire series so far and cannot wait for Unbreakable Forever. With a lot of books, even though good, you know it's all just fantasy, but the way Amanda writes makes it feel as if it's real, as if you are the one experiencing it all first hand. You'll never want to put this series down. I love the way Erin and Devon are with each other. An undeniable bond between two hearts(and two bodies) that were destined to be unbreakable! If you read this book you must read Unbreakable Love, Unbreakable Together and the next installment Unbreakable Forever!
I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Well here goes. This was definitely a very sweet read! I enjoyed every moment of it. It is about a couple who start off as childhood friends and fall in love. But are unsure how to act on it. Neither one wants to destroy the relationship they already have so they both hold back. As a person who enjoy's a racier read...I would have loved for the books to take on a more adult romance feel. But, at the same time it was a great read! And I will definitely be reading the other books in the series.
A story about two friends that have grown up together and now are starting to have feelings for each other. They are scared to act on them in fear of losing their friendship.
A very nice start to this story, I will continue to read the series to see where it goes. A nice start for this first time author.
In this book we meet Erin and Devon. They have been friends since they were young. As they grow older they realize that they are attracted to one another.
I really enjoy the fact that we are getting the pov of both Erin and Devon.
I really like the way the author has written this. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I finished this book cause I couldn't sleep and didn't feel like finding another. But can I just say as short as this book is she said Devon 462 times... she did I searched it. Amanda must of broken some kind of record. Thank God I read this free on Kindle unlimited or else I would of been even more upset. Read at ur own risk is all I got to say.
i just finished this book and what a page turner . omg i loved it im the type of person that has trouble getting in to a book. i had no trouble doing that with this book. i recommend this book as a must read .
Unbreakable Devotion seemed to just fly by. I found myself going between getting irritated at the characters and routing them on! I loved the narration of this story and flew off the story. I can not wait to see what happens between Devon and Erin!
Was given an ARC for honest review. 4+ stars. A classic first love YA romance. Long-standing childhood friendship transitions in their need of more during a summer of discovery prior to senior year of high school. Well written. Refreshing, good-feeling plot with strong depth of characters.
Ahhhh!!! Is all I can say left me hanging by just a finger but still wanting more.....though I know I will be hit with a cliffhanger yet again....curse you Amanda Chayse lol
Read some time ago but forgot to rate it. This was such a poorly written story. It read like something a 7th grader with a raging fantasy of a perfect boyfriend would come up with...
