Broken and lost, Aria slowly starts picking up the pieces after the mess Jase left behind. It's hard to forgive someone when you know you're not meant to be together. Perhaps she just needed an excuse to get out.
Jase isn't one to go down without a fight, and he'll be damned if he loses Aria now. Not now. He loves her too much, and there's still so much he needs to tell her. But he wasn't expecting the masked man and what he represents.
In the end, Aria will have new secrets to keep, new lies to tell, and new truths to face.
Though this book is not a stand alone novel, this book does not have a cliffhanger ending.
The second installment is carefully designed to answer some questions and unravel some of the secrets the first book of the trilogy left in its wake, but brilliantly written to keep the reader on the edge of the seat, still, and the grand finale a mystery!
Poor Aria, she was mentally exhausted with the war going on in her heart and the Hybrid logic in her mind, and to top it off, she got a massive headache that wouldn't go away, and the only way to lessen the pain was when she touched Jace.
By the end of this book, it still didn't answer why she got it 🤔. Did I miss the explanation? Anyway, I thought I liked the mystery man when I first read about him in the first book, but I realised in this book, he wasn't great for Aria, and I decided to be on team Jace! I still hoped he would have his HEA, though.
Interesting plot, which I liked, but there's just something about the writing that could be sharpened up. It's just too descriptive at times, overstating the obvious. The book also needs another proof reading. I will read the last book as I want to know what happens next.
Lots of interesting twists, and thankfully Aria is less whiny in this book. It would have made sense to make this a reverse harem with Jace and Kellan vs. an odd love triangle where she is on again off again sleeping with them.
This book needs reformatting, I feel like it was published before editing. After chapter 3 it loses chapter numbers and table of contents.
I honestly can’t say enough about this author. Absolutely love every bit of everything put out. This book will have you on the edge of your seat, laughing out loud and damn near feeling sorry for characters you don’t want to. Love it
I can't finish this book. This Aria girl is so misleading and out of character, and I think this author has a favourite character in her books who can do anything. This book was so hard to complete because I hate TWO TIMERS.
Couldn't help myself and bing read the first two books even though I really should've been studying for a test. Seriously addicting. Make time for these.
I love all books by cm Owens and this series is amazing just like the original series fantastic if u love paranormal but the 2 trilogy and prepared to be amazed!!!
Not sure who will come out on top. So many twists that keep you guessing. I just wish Aria would kick ads like her mother did and focus less on a counter.
I absolutely love all the books that I have read by C.M. Owens. This is a great read from start to end. If I had to give it a rat it would be between a 4/4.5. Although there has been grammatical errors in others, this one seems to have a plethora of them. However, Mrs. Owens is popping out her books like candy and I'm engaged in so many of her series, I would rather over look this and get my hands on her next book! Isn't that part of the publishers part, to correct? Regardless, this book is a definite read. I have my suspicions on what's coming in book 3, and can't wait to see how it plays out!
I love this author she can put you I. The story without even realizing it. I loved the first story and I have a feeling this story is gonna end up being the same way as the cursed trilogy. The only thing that would make this better (in my opinion) would to have been both their counters because she is so strong she should need two. And they both fulfill her.
I absolutely love this author and her ability to create plots and characters and different realities. I am normally not a paranormal fan but all of her books have been amazing. The ending of this book though made my heart drop and I'm dreading the next book...
I loved this book so much. I loved how you were given everyones point of view. I can't wait for the next one. C.M. Owens is my favorite author. I love all of her work.
I love the way it keeps you guessing and how there is always a threat but also happiness.I can't wait until the next book!!! c.m. Owens is a new favorite author!!!
Ugh this book is always hard to read the back and forth between jase and Kellan. I’m hardcore team jase so her trying to deny him was hard. This book sets up the next book perfectly and this series just keeps getting better.
I love this series so much. I have so many theory's going on in my head about Aria and Base that I can't wait to find out. Action packed with incredible hot sex. A must read for sure
Initially I thought, like mother like daughter, boy was I pleasantly surprised! This trilogy is going great! Consuming page turner...pretty sure I'm turning into an Owen's groupie!
This is book two in the Gifts Trilogy and it is as good as the first book. The characters are sexy and the action is constant. Another great read from this author.
