I actually don't even mind that this was one of those "full books cut into little chunks" because I thought it was a fun, sexy little read. I think the ending (with a certain someone professing love) was premature. It could have done with something less unrealistic, like a desire to continue the relationship, so I docked a star for that. Loved the side plot about Jess writing two books, one to help and one to ruin Logan. I would have loved to just read the entire story at once. I might still. This is one I'd genuinely like to see through... at least until the next book. I recommend it for folks looking for erotica you can read in one sitting that doesn't need to be all that realistic or grounded in reality.

Part one of a series, this beginning is absolutely steaming! Jess has been given a project with an extra one on the side. She’s to write an autobiography on a billionaire who is about to announce his running for senator, with a side job to write another for the competition that will destroy him. But it would seem that her priorities just may have to change after she meets the hunky Logan. But Logan’s half brother lurks around the corner. Will Gabriel succeed with his devious plan? Be prepared…this will leave you in the lurch. Looking forward to part two!

Great story. Jessica is a ghostwriter for billionaires. Logan who made his riches by inheritance. Wants to become a senator. When Jessica tries to find some dirt on Logan she stumbles into something she might try. Only to be blackmailed by Logan's half brother Gabriel. You need to read the book. Cannot wait to read more.

Really not a story, more a taster which carries over into the next book. Which of course means this ends on a cliffhanger.
Never a fan of deceit in a story so slightly biased to start, then the sex scene takes up to much story space.
I didn’t get enough connection between these two to want to read the next book.

The intrigue

A nice mix of introspection, intrigue, Villainy and sexiness. It was a little slow at first but ends on a bombshell of bombshells

I need to point out to being that I found this book as an extra in a bundle. I am not interested in the genre, but since I had it I decided to read it.
The premise of the story was alluring: Jess is a writer who has been hired by an upcoming politician's opposition to dig some dirt about him by pretending to be his biographer.
The problem that made me not enjoy the book is that it's very short and a large portion of it is taken up by an overly long sex scene, which means there is very little time left for the story to develop. The scene was very graphical and well written, I suppose – I'm really not familiar with this genre – but I felt it overstayed its welcome.
It doesn't help that it all ends on a massive cliffhanger.

This book is hot, hot, hot!

This novellette is the start for ghostwriter Jessica Hart and billionaire businessman Logan Grant. Jessica has been put on assignment to help Logan write his biography before he runs for election. She also has an alternate achievement though, get the dirty little secrets on him for a tell-all book about him for his rival.
The secret She discovers is beyond her wildest imagination and knows it would ruin him if it got out.... it also gets her incredibly turned on!
Very good start of a series and the cliffhanger at the end leaves me wondering what will come next.

Warning: contains a very erotic scene and is not for minors.... or for the faint of heart! (Highly recommended for everyone else!!)

This story was utterly stupid and characters weren't developed well. Jessica was one of those characters which are soo awesome that they barely see anything except themselves. Logan was of course rich, handsome, good in everything and boring as hell. Nah I couldn't sympathize with them because they irritated me a lot. And my another problem: Jessica basicaly enjoyed bdsm way too fast. I don't have anything againts bdsm but it was unrealistic. At least I was expecting that it would take her a little more time but nope.

This was very very short. Content wise it wasn't bad, the main character is full of herself, which is fine. It makes her slightly believable. The other two characters of the serial are less well developed, a manipulator and the manipulated, they are reasonable dull and predictable. There was one fairly tame erotic scene, which was well written and enjoyable. Honestly this was too short and the story felt way too unfinished, more like a teaser trailer.

This is a really quick read with some really steamy scenes towards the end. I am not sure if I was routing for Jessica to fall for Logan or to get the information she needs to write her second planned book from their meetings. I was totally floored by what she found in his secret room and what she got when she found it. I will most likely be picking up the second book in this series to see if Jessica and Logan can get a HAE or if his brother will spoil it for everyone.

I read this as a part of the Red Hot Beginning Box Set.
It was well written but very short. Not much character development. The main character & voice of the story was very shallow. The other characters were even less developed. I can see where the author was going with the story but I felt that the sex scenes & storyline were just not melded correctly.

Very short and very tame considering the audience it was written for.
