I’m determined to prove to her that she deserves happiness. I spend the week pleasing her in every way possible and having the time of my life. Making her happy makes me happy. The more time we spend together, the more I become convinced she just might be my forever love. But I know it can't last beyond this week. Or can it?
Catching the Curve is the spicy romcom featuring an age gap instalove between a pro baseball star and the curvy younger woman whom he invites into his cabin--and his heart. It features hilarious laugh-out-loud banter and situations, panty-melting steamy scenes, no cheating between the MCs, and an HEA ending guaranteed to leave a smile on your face and a happy tear in your eye. Oh, and there's also a bear named Howard who loves Taylor Swift. Because, well, who doesn't!
I loved Jenny and Brick, this was a funny meet cute romance, watching Jenny’s growth and realizing what she wanted was so satisfying to read. Though I wish she had decked Howard in the face IYKYK. And Brick American Baseball celebrity Brick is so adorable I fell in love with him from beginning to end. He is so sweet, kind and so very understanding. The invisible string theory to the Taylor Swift references, and omg the Howard the Bear scene I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. This is a fast read, but it’s so good. Brick literally treats Jenny like she’s a goddess, and Jenny can Truly be herself with Brick.
It was a really cute book, I loved the main characters and most of the side characters besides *cough* Howard the Ex-fiancé & Vanessa the ex best friend IYKYK
I did have some issues with some of the wording used during certain situations but that might just be a me problem. I would definitely recommend this book, if you’re looking for something Sweet,Cute spicy & fast paced.
Overall I truly think this is a 5 Star Read.

Jenny and Brick's romance in Catching the Pitcher was everything I hoped it would be—sweet, funny, steamy, and heartfelt. Right from the start, the meet-cute between these two is intense and sets the tone for their electric chemistry. Brick, the grumpy baseball star, manages to be both rugged and irresistibly charming, making him an unforgettable hero who treats Jenny like a goddess. Jenny, on the other hand, has a delightful growth arc; watching her find herself and realize what she truly wants was both inspiring and satisfying.
The humor in this book is a highlight! The "Howard the Bear" scene had me laughing so hard I had to put the book down for a moment. And yes, Howard the Ex-Fiancé and Vanessa the ex-best friend add a bit of drama, but it just makes Brick and Jenny’s connection that much more precious. The invisible string theory and the Taylor Swift references brought a fun pop culture element to the story that was a treat for fans.
While there were a few phrases here and there that didn’t quite work for me, that’s a minor quibble, like Jenny talk about Henry in the first chapiter and I thought it's was her fiance, so confusing when I read that her fiance is Howard. This story is well-paced and full of family love, support, and all the feels. There’s enough detail to flesh out the characters and make them feel real, and even though the story is fast-paced, it’s deeply emotional and satisfying. Love the fact that each author has it's on twist on thing and view, so it's make the dual POV amazing!
If you’re a fan of instant connection, sizzling meet-cutes, and a hero who treats the heroine like a queen, Catching the Pitcher will hit a home run for you! I'm definitely eager to read more from these authors.

Catching the Pitcher caught my attention from the beginning. Great, steamy meet cute, then major disappointment in the next few chapters. Jenny is a delight and Brick is grumpy and down in the dumps. This is an instant connection story full of laugh out loud moments as well as those that will pull at your heartstrings. Enough detail that lets readers know who Jenny and Brick are and they whys for their behavior. Lots of family love and support too! This was the first book by the authors and based on Catching the Pitcher I am interested in reading more of their books. it was a fun, easy read with heart, steam and laughs!

Overall I enjoyed this book. It definitely has good comedy! The romance was great too. But there was a lot of wishy washy stuff with characters. One moment they feel this. The next they feel the opposite. Contradicting points in the story one chapter to the next. I liked the story as a whole I just feel like there were points where things just didn’t add up. I have it a 3.5 but chose to round up for the scale. This book made me laugh & pulled my heart strings which is what I expect from a rom com. I’ll definitely check out more books from them. I enjoyed this book! It had some great humor and heartfelt moments that really delivered on the rom-com vibes, making me laugh and tugging at my heartstrings. The romance was sweet, though the characters could be a bit inconsistent; their feelings sometimes flipped between chapters, and certain points didn’t fully add up. Still, the storyline was enjoyable, with some deep, emotional moments you wouldn’t expect in a sports romance. The characters had strong chemistry, and the twists kept things interesting. Overall, this book deserves a spot on any romance fan’s TBR. I received a review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I honestly didn’t enjoy the audiobook. I just started in the audiobook world, and this was just my second time listening to one, but just at the start of it, listening to the “virtual voice” definitely ruin it for me. I just can’t enjoy it the same way as when there’s people narrating and you can listen to different voices.
The story was not very entertaining for me either. I love sports romance novels but this was just not it for me. The only sport thing about it is that the book mentions the character is a baseball player, but that’s about it. The setting has nothing to do with sports, the plot has nothing to do with sports, it was just another cliché romance. Very surreal, also.
Catching the Pitcher is a fun romcom that meanders a little bit and becomes a little hard to follow at times. You have an epic meet cute at the beginning with lots of steam, then the bride runaway from her cheating douche fiance. Cheating with her best friends, mind you! While Jenny is running up the mountain, she encounters a break down, a bear named Howard and then her ultimate fantasy.
Jenny and Brick (ultimate fantasy professional baseball player) experience instalove, but then a lot of indecision and misunderstandings. This story is quite a lot of fun!
What an absolutely beautiful book! You wouldn’t necessarily a sports romance would have such depth and meaning—but it does. I strongly recommend you have tissues available because you’re definitely going to need them. The storyline was absolutely amazing; the characters played off of each other perfectly; the available plot twists and turns were pretty darn amazing; and the HEA…stunningly beautiful! You really need to get this book for your personal library. It truly belongs on everyone’s TBR shelf. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and absolutely loved it!) ❤️❤️❤️
This story was super cute, well written and left me satisfied.
Fun and Funny we go for a lovely ride through these 2 cute charaters stories.
Brick and Jenny share a wonderful journey of discovery to each other. At a good pace this story draws you in quickly then settles into a real connection... for a 2nd time.
I love tales where the guy is the one bowled over so this tale suited me to a tee!

Jenny is about to get married when she finds her fiance Howard having sex with her best friend and maid of honor Vanessa in the women's bathroom at the church. Devastated Jenny takes off driving not knowing where she is going.
Brick is a pitcher for MLB and finds himself pulling beside a stopped car with music blasting on Bear Mountain. What he doesn't know is the the person in the car has run out of gas and is blasting the music to try and calm a bear that is on the other side of her car.
This was a very cute story! First of all, the initial scene of this book was SO HOT! Man does this author know how to write spice and the details..wow!! I do wish there were more spicy scenes but the ones that were there, they were steamy! I definitely recommend this book especially if you enjoy the instalove genre. Jenny and Brick were so adorable! And Brick is the man of every woman's dreams!
Yeah, this was a DNF for me. How many times are you going to describe it as a beautifully perfumed garden when referencing a vagina? I made it halfway through before I just absolutely couldn’t anymore. Sorry, wanted to love this series with the furries and swifties but I just couldn’t get past the writing.
I really enjoyed this!!! It was so funny and cute. I really wanted to kick Howard (the person) in his you know for doing my girl Jenny like that! But you know what it all worked out! Brick comes along with his super sweet heart and personality to give her the happiness she deserves!
This was a fun story with lots laughter, fun yet always an issue to over come before finding true love. I'm sure any one that likes romance with a little humor will really enjoy this story.
Elizabeth is...Vanessa is...Lizzie? Henry is...Howard?? At least get the names of the characters correct!
Her dad cashed in his 401k to pay for the wedding Jenny walked out of. She feels guilty because of it and can't go home. Sounds like her dad is TSTL. 🤦🏼♀️

A serendipitous encounter for two people who deserved to find each other. Brick and Jenny are just too sweet for words. Their journey was not all sunshine and roses but their destination was simply amazing for them. I adored going on this adventure with them.
woes and woos Jenny and Brick both struggle with traumatic loss, my heart broke for them and I was happy when they were granted a second chance at love and found their perfect match in each other.
