With a new Foreword by Keith Howell (pop culture expert and cover artist for Crossovers Expanded, Volumes 1–3), Crossovers Expanded, Volume 3 also includes many book and magazine covers, as well as appendices covering a myriad of alternate universe tales, parodies, and farces which don’t fit into the primary Crossover Universe continuity, and covering the latest references in Kim Newman’s Anno Dracula series!
Another great round-up of crossovers, cameos, and easter eggs in genre fiction compiled by the indefatigable and ridiculously knowledgeable and astute Sean Lee Levin!
I'm amazed that encyclopedic minds like Levin's exist and can sort the vast amount of information about characters, locations, and items crossing over into other works of fiction. This book is an astounding catalog of crossover events.
Sean Lee Levin is relentless. That's a good thing!
Not only has he once again, in CROSSOVERS EXPANDED 3, produced a masterfully encyclopedic volume of crossover stories from the "land of fiction" that are weaved together into an ongoing continuity called the Crossover Universe, he has done so with seemingly little effort. And yet it is obvious that there was great effort and skill involved in researching and documenting all of these stories for our collective enjoyment. Bravo, Mr. Levin, bravo!
Add in the wonderful introduction and cover art by Keith Howell, and we have a volume that absolutely belongs on the bookshelves of anyone who is a fan of pop culture references, "easter eggs," and metafiction!
