After finding out that he is one of the last remaining Warlocks, Wesley Alban has a lot of work to do. First things first, he's going to clean up Deja Vu and turn it into a guild house worthy of its name. Once that's done, it's interviewing (and interrogating) potential demons to join him. Then there's his meeting with the other Warlocks on the horizon.
But he never neglects his daily Warlock duties. Wes is training to become stronger, bonding with more demonesses and increasing his bond with those already under his magic.
All the while, the strange creatures from beyond the Door are fighting to enter Earth and turn it into a wasteland.
Wes has his work cut out for him, but he wouldn't have it any other way. After all, who wouldn't want to be a Warlock?
I had really hoped this was going to be better than the first book Sadly it sucked worse. Why don’t you just write porn instead of SCU-fi? I am deleting you from my follow list and I’ll never read another fucking thing you write. You spent more time writing with one hand than actually trying to thrill me with a good story. Some of the most worthless trash I’ve ever read and to many are trying to do the same thing. I’ve been reading for entertainment for over 45 years and I’m far from a prude or anything like one but this trend sucks and you should be ashamed for charging money for this drivel. Enjoy the money you make of this crap and choke on it
It wasn't good for one singular reason and that was the main character. Wes has no development in this story what so ever. And if there was development it wasn't deserved at all. This is a character that think with his dick and doesn't even try to shore up his weaknesses, he picks fights he shouldn't be able to win and wins them for no good reason at all. But, the worst thing about this book is that he refuses to even try and get stronger or master his warlock abilities he spend more time fucking than actually trying to learn anything, he has a cloak that was once the possession of a great warlock but he neither consults nor even shares his thoughts with, he has a demon that has been alive for a shit ton of years but she doesn't even give him valuable advice. He's surrounded by characters that only enable him but don't try to lead him down a path of being a better man or person. I wouldn't want someone as incompetent as Wes leading me any where I'd die for his laziness and mistakes.
Mr. King has written another intense book. The characters are well thought out and realistic. There is a mixture of fantasy, magic, and urban life to keep you interested in the story with an unexpected twist to make you hungry for the next book in the series.
So many answers and so many new questions!!! As always first rate world building!!! Great character interactions, great adult fantasy activities and a non OP MC!!!! I can't wait to see what happens next to our "Guild"!!!
Well the Christian god is a trinity! He's just have to kill the bad, save the good and save the world! No biggie. Needs slot more info. It's education time for the naive.
Wow. Talk about things getting apocalyptic fast... heaven and hell is on tap.
The stakes went up a few magnitudes. Heaven and hell are both in play, and there are lots of surprises, all the way to the last chapter. We need the next book!
I thought the Warlock one was good this one's even better. The story is Rich the characters are fun, in the story lines twisted. Definitely could not see where this one was going to end up. A great investment of your time and money.
The last third of the book came off as cliche tripe. First novel, and most of this one show potential for originality and that's probably why I was left feeling disappointed. How you can fix it in the next one.
What an imagination he has, wow. It was hard to take my time and read this story. You just had to know what was going to happen next. Now to wait until the next one comes out.
Talk about opening it up in the second act. The story went from nice romp to holy h@ll in a heartbeat. It's like the original Star Wars. The second movie opened the can of worms just like this book. Hope there's no Ewalks in this one.
Not a bad book two. Simple story but moves along. Story a bit messy and not much to hold any real plot as it just moves from action to action. But easy and fun.
This story caught by surprise. I'm pretty good at seeing a plot twist, but this well done. Dante King led me where he wanted me to go. And I really liked it.
