The authors of this book do a good job of showing the mission of Naturopathy. They also show how to go about getting more knowledge and becoming a practitioner. There's nothing wrong with this, but it's basically just an advertisement for an educational program. This is usually done with a free pamphlet or a website, not as a book you have to pay for. Overall, I think this is a good idea by the author's but probably the wrong way to go about it.

‘Introduction to Naturopathy’ by Julius Codrington and Zoey Codrington is a short book that summarizes the core principles of naturopathy, followed by a case study of one individual who benefited from this approach. The book focuses on the key aims of naturopathy, which include providing comprehensive care, which addresses not only physical, but also, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. According to the authors, naturopathy also aims to provide personalized care that focuses on an individual lifestyle and personal history. Naturopathy centers on prevention, stressing the use of natural therapies that utilize nutrition (the eating of whole/unprocessed foods), botanical remedies, physical therapies and activity, homeopathy, and lifestyle modifications that lead to empowerment. The goal is to address the root causes of illness and body imbalances and to use the body’s natural ability to heal itself, as well as to promote harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. This book is recommended for those who are curious about naturopathy and feel that a personalized approach to health care that encourages patient knowledge, understanding, and empowerment is worth a try.

While I believe this book was written for content marketing purposes as the authors also have a Naturopathy Practitioner Training Course you can enroll in, I still found the book informative and enlightening. I read it after having just spent a week in nature eating mostly farm-to-table food, spring water from Mt. Kilimanjaro and no booze or internet and I felt the best I had in a long time. So the timing was quite fitting as much of the book is about eating food as nature intended - unprocessed.
It explains the wellness benefits of practicing a naturopathic approach to living, how it can help prevent disease and its restorative power. There is a focus on natural therapies and eventually segues into the rewards of pursuing a career in naturopathy.
All in all, this is a quick and easy read for someone who is curious about naturopathy and its benefits, or considering a career in naturopathy.

An Underweight Introduction

Introduction to Naturopathy (by Julius and Zoey Codrington) is a very brief book with a picture and generally one to four short paragraphs per page (it can be read in about ten minutes). It is also a very sketchy read about naturopathy, skimming over the surface of the subject without diving into any depth of detail. Naturopathy may be a beneficial health regimen (much of it sounds common-sensical), but there is little given here to judge it by other than the story of one woman whom it is said to have worked wonders for. Things like a self-purification wellness cleanse, spiritual alignment, compressing native plants into botanical remedies, and raising one’s vibrations for more empowering and effective thought are mentioned but with no meaningful explanation. But then, the book is only an “introduction.” However, it also ends with a come-on for the authors’ “comprehensive and internationally accredited online Naturopathy Practitioner Training Course.”

Good basic start to learning about naturopathy

The book is what the title suggests - an introduction to the topic. The author presents naturopathy concepts at a simple level, easy for beginners to understand. Readers can identify key topics of interest in this book that they can research from additional more detailed sources. The images throughout the book were visually stimulating and added interest to the content.
