Jos aiot opiskella coachiksi, tämä kirja on kyllä ehdoton luettava. Se on selkeä opas, joka käy läpi kaiken oleellisen coachina toimimisesta alkaen erilaisista psykologisista teoriamalleista käytännön työkaluihin. Kirjassa käydään läpi myös eettiset ohjeet ja keskeiset kompetenssit sekä kansainvälisen coaching-liiton (ICF) vaatimukset eri akkreditointitasoille. Erinomainen oppikirja.

A must-read for all coaches.

“Becoming a coach – The essential ICF guide” by Jonathan Passmore and Tracy Sinclair is a book that outlines what it takes to be international coaching federation coach. With the advent of social media, the barrier to entry for any expert is zero. Which means anybody can set themselves up and call themselves a coach. With this book, Passmore and Sinclair describe the fundamentals of coaching.
From the definition of coaching, to the self-awareness of the coach, to development core competencies and various coaching models like GROW. They also discuss coaching best practice like ethics and working with clients. The book wouldn’t be complete without a coaches coach and the book has a whole section on self-development and your own assessment as a coach. If you are looking to be a coach or want an update, this is a great place to start.
