Give Me Always

Rate this book
When love and obligation collide, can you follow your heart without breaking another?

Jake Houston is a gruff technology expert with a heart of gold. Not that he’s willing to risk it again after his former fiancée trampled on it. He’s content living out of a suitcase, installing computer labs for kids all over the world.

But the foundation he manages is on the brink of collapse, and every employee his boss has sent to help has failed. What Jake needs is a competent marketing director. What he needs is a miracle.

When new-hire Laney Strickland steps off the plane in stilettos and a silk blouse, she’s everything he didn’t see coming—and exactly what he’s been looking for.

But Laney has a secret. An ironclad-contract secret. One their boss will make sure she keeps until he secures ownership of his father’s company.

It was a deal she regretted immediately, but with overdue bills to pay and a brother to support, the right decision wasn’t so clear-cut. Besides, all she has to do is show up to a few company events on her boss’s arm, and things will be fine.

But falling for Jake Houston was never part of the plan. If she tells Jake the truth, she risks losing everything she has fought so hard to save; if she doesn’t, she may lose the only thing worth saving.

Give Me Always is a touching sweet romance with a clean twist on the fake-relationship trope. It launches the Wildflower Lake series, celebrating love, redemption, and community in a charming Tennessee small town.

The story is really sweet and it’s totally my fault but this is a clean romance. I hoped it was a smutty “why choose”. It’s not. My bad

Catching Stardust

Loss after loss bury Laney’s hopes and dreams. “All I know is, the world breaks your heart enough without you letting someone else do it, too.”
Is Jake the man to restore her heart? Can she hold onto the past and look forward to her future?

Enjoyed the story very much. Did think there were a lot of coincidences to push the story along. Even so I liked the basic story.

worth it

I loved Laney and Jake’s story. We are always so hesitant to take a chance; they were lucky enough to get some sage advice.
