ALONE: Timeless tales of tears, triumph and turmoil

Rate this book
If you enjoy a rattling good tale, why not try ‘The Cave’ by T.R. Moran or ‘The Nineteenth Day’ by A.J Lot? For something a little more relaxing, you may prefer to journey through the fertile mind of Chris Robinson; stories that we feel sure will make you smile. ‘Alone’ is a mixed bag of individual work from members of the Hartlepool Writers Group; an anthology of stories that range from the very dark and emotionally stirring to the simply amusing ‘Fruit, Bacteria at a Pinch, But No Bears’. The theme of this particular collection is ‘isolation’ and how such a solitary state may be interpreted by different writers. From a few hundred words to a few thousand, each story is presented to the reader as unique and previously unpublished. ‘Abandon Ship’ might be the’ Last Words’ spoken by a very young Able Seaman ... but the story does not end there! We hope you enjoy this eclectic mix of writing and writing styles and if any of the stories contained here make you smile ... or make you ponder for any length of time, then our job here is done!
