In a world of danger and destiny, Gabriel must rescue orphaned shifters while grappling with an irresistible bond with Olivia, the waitress who unwittingly becomes his fated mate.
Gabriel
I'm the last of my pack to find a mate, and it's agonizing. I crave the family life I've watched my brothers enjoy for years. So, I've chosen to assist Kade in rescuing baby shifters who are victims of an underground trafficking ring run by radical humans. It's a heartbreaking mission, saving orphaned shifter children, but it's necessary. I'm tired of seeing innocent supernaturals suffer at the hands of these extremists.
I suspected I might meet my fated mate on this journey, but I was still caught off guard by her sweet strawberry scent, one I'll never forget. Her name is Olivia, a young waitress from Downtown Detroit. She's unwittingly entangled with some radicals while trying to help two escaped shifter babies. She thinks she's doing a good deed by bringing the children to me, but how do I tell her she's destined to be mine forever?
Olivia
After finishing my night shift at the diner, I never expected to find two little orphaned shifter children who had escaped an underground trafficking ring while taking out the trash in the back alley. I quickly brought them to my apartment for safety, but then took them to the only place I knew could help—Thirst Trap, a nightclub run by supernaturals. That's when I met Gabriel, a stunning wolf shifter with the most captivating blue eyes I've ever seen.
What I thought would be a simple good deed—returning the children to their people—turned my world upside down. Gabriel claims I'm his fated mate, the woman chosen for him by the goddess Fate. He's determined to keep me. I find myself traveling to Wintermoon, where I'm supposedly meant to spend the rest of my days with this enigmatic shifter. But I'm not ready to give in. He took me against my will, and the harder I try to resist him, the stronger this inexplicable connection grows. How can I escape this mysterious creature when he has already captured my body—and soon, my heart?
Hello, readers! I rarely visit this space, but if you’d like to connect, you can find me on my blog or social media, where I’m most active. Thank you for your support, and happy reading!
This is my favorite book in the series so far. Read all 3 in less than 24 hours. After the last book, I wondered why Levi and Micah did have their own book, but I realized cause they are insufferable. Nia is horrible. I'm not sure I would like to read about that at all. Micah and Skylar are a bit boring.
They alluded to Levi being a great alpha, but he never put his mate in her place. She is horrible. They mentioned a trauma of her becoming his mate but never finding out what it is. Isn't Levi supposed to hold his pack accountable for their actions? Does it apply to everyone else but his mate?
I love Gabriel and Olivia's dynamic. ❤️ They are such an amazing couple. Love that she claimed him first. Love that she is having the next alpha. Cause lord knows I wouldn't want it to be Nia.
The part I didn't like was I really thought Olivia connected with the two orphans. There were so many shifters around, but we didn't hear of anyone adopting kids. There is such a focus on having kids of their own. I understand, but I really wanted them to adopt.😔
Also, what did Gabriel do to be a war hero? It felt like we didn't hear enough of it. Like the actual events, they mentioned he was a hero so much.
Tessa Stone is 2 for 2 so far in this Fated Mate series. This book was so good! In this book I learned more about Wintermoon and the history/lore of the supernaturals. I loved that we got to follow Gabriel in this book. He's just top tier book boyfriend material, Ms. Stone knows how to write a good caring man! I actually liked Olivia because I could relate to her in a lot of ways. Their relationship is so cute. Although there is instant chemistry , they do have their mini struggles while trying to adjust to their new life together. I also think this book helps push the series forward because we get introduced to Jacob, who the next book is about. We also, get introduced to other major characters who play a big role in the supernatural world. The spice in this book was great. I'm a sucker for claim marks, the breeding kink and big sexy shifters.
This book does tackle some heavy subject matters like kidnapping, trafficking, loss of human rights, racism, hate groups, etc. But it's not so upsetting that it brings the mood of the book down. It has a happy ending.
So I did it again — I stayed up all night reading Claiming Gabriel because I just couldn’t get enough! 😂✨ Did I pay for it the next day? Absolutely. Was it worth it? 100%! I want to read everything Tessa Kane has ever written now!
I listened to the audiobook and loved getting deeper into the characters and the overall storyline. 🎧💜 What really impressed me was how she tied political and racial themes into the paranormal world — it added depth without taking anything away from the story. I loved that! 🙌🏽
I’m already looking forward to diving into the third book! Can’t wait! 📚🐺✨
I love how Tessa Stone incorporates real life into her books, and how seriously the women are about their rights. Greed and power will be the death of humans. I’m only through the second book but Olivia & Gabriel are my fav. And Angie being Jacob’s mate ? Who knew, I figured it would be someone on Mackinac Island but I didn’t guess Angie.
Ok, the series is getting better. I love enjoyed this book better than the first one. But it was still good. I love how the men worship and care for their women with no expectations in return. Just genuine love and care for them. They work very hard to take care of them and please them, but they also respect them as the giver of life.
I love that she ends up with Gabriel. And that he pampers her yet gives her room for independence. They are perfect for each other and the drama involved added a little spice. I loved it.
I love the fated mates series and winter moon. If you love shifter romance and fantasy reads you'll absolutely love this series. Looking forward to reading more in the series.
Oh Gabriel, how you have stolen my heart, my robe, shredded panties, and filled me to capacity. Round of applause Tessa Stone. Thank you isn’t enough to express how much I enjoyed this book.
Unfortunately the first half of this book felt way too similar to the first book. BUT. the added characters in the second half plus the promise of more plot convinced me to continue the series.
Loved the tension & banter between the leads a lot. I also loved how this book explores the lore of the town & the conflict between humans & fantastical beings
Give me a fated mates story with no 3rd act break up & I'll always be hooked. I loved the characters, the plot, & the love shared by the characters. I can't wait to continue on in this series.
