I’ve absolutely loved reading the 4 books in The Little Board Game Cafe series, I hope there’ll be more… but if not then finishing with a Happily Ever After for Kate was perfect. I’d hoped to see more from some of the characters, in some of the books, especially Love Letters on Hazel Lane, but Kate was a constant presence in the first three and so it was nice to see a book with her as the main character, perhaps she was the main character all along 😁
I would’ve liked to have known what happened to Annie from the first book, as she wasn’t mentioned again, and I spent the last two books wondering if Marjory was going to come back into the story at all (so it was nice she got a mention). I also missed Florence’s two friends in this last book of the series, especially as Sylvia had been quite a feature in the last one. I’m sure that the “Michael” mentioned in this book was “Matthew” from Love Letters on Hazel Lane? 🤔
Regardless of those things the series was absolutely wonderful, and the fact I missed characters is just testament to how well they and their relationships were written. I hope there’ll be another instalment, as I’m not ready to say goodbye to the community Jennifer Page has brought to life. I’d love to read about the preparations for a certain wedding (or two), and/or the character Kate gave her card to 😁 & what about Gem from book 2 😄 I’ve read the series in no time at all, it’s a real page turner, sucking you in from the very beginning, each story beautifully told with all 4 weaving seamlessly together; but as I said if there isn’t to be anymore books in this series, then Kate’s story was the perfect place to leave it.
If you want a lovely, easy, fun read then I think this is the perfect series, with some funny moments, and one liners; there is sadder moments throughout the series too. These books are now amongst some of my favourites, and the characters within them too, especially little Max.

la prima metà davvero lenta e noiosa, la seconda mi è piaciuta
