Then It was supposed to be a new beginning. A step up to the life I really wanted. An escape from the man who punished me for existing. But instead, I met THEM. Ian, Axel, and Logan. They're the kings of the school and they're determined to destroy me, heart and soul.
Now I thought I'd left it all behind, the bullying, the abuse, and the pain. They weren't supposed to be there, in my new life, far away from where it all began, but here they are. The three men who turned my world upside down as a teenager. The men I never wanted to see again, and yet . . . Something about them pulls me in. I don't know if I'll be ruined by them or if they can help me overcome my past.
Buried Memories is a bully romance that includes themes of child abuse, bullying, eating disorders, and depression. It contains adult scenes and is meant for 18+ readers.
It was ok? There was some events errors, like the in one area the MC had closely shaved head, but a few paragraphs down same day, she was getting pulled by her hair?? And when it time jumps forward in time, the author didn’t really announce it well. They only put a couple spaces between the paragraphs. Also it would have been nice if things had been paced differently. Ah so the man that bullied you in HS ,and the last time you guys saw each other it wasn’t on good terms, you’re going to TRUST him with a freakin needle?!?!
I couldn’t read anymore after that. It would be nice if the author left the tattoo part for a good spot where they’ve reconnected and are building trust. Because god knows I would never let someone I didn’t trust tattoo me.
“We'd saved her life. The least she could do was say thank you.” Asshole, immature behavior.
Skye didn’t deserve ANY of the abuse and that’s exactly what it was ABUSE that she endured by Ian, Logan and Axel over a damn table that she had no clue about. She was new to the school, how the hell was she supposed to know it was a tribute to Ian’s sister, Marie, who was killed by a school shooter. Like Skye said, “put a sign up, so what I went through never happens again.” Ian should’ve been the one to explain to Skye why they did what they did, not Logan since it wasn’t mainly his issue but Ian’s. Pretty much all of the guys were pussies to me. They recorded her being abused by her father and ONLY intervene because he pulled out a knife to really kill her, so what were they gonna do if he didn’t pull out the knife? Just keep watching her getting beat the shit out of by her dad then go to the police? They were just as abuse as her father.
The time jumps had me extremely confused. They’d go from high school to five years later then back to the tattoo scene from whatever year then back again to present day. Also I was confused on who was speaking each chapter, I had to go back to the beginning to see who spoke.
None of them deserved her forgiveness and I think Skye only forgave them just to move on, she didn’t wanna focus on the past so she just “let it go”. Girl, the shit you endured by those guys was unforgivable.
The sex scenes were the only reason I gave it a two.

Honestly this book was terrible, but it could have been great. The book explained no characters backgrounds or stories and moved at an extremely fast pace. The chapters would change perspectives and did not show you who was speaking and they don’t introduce a new perspective until over halfway through. I’m also positive one chapter was out of order. There were plots and issues with no explanations and it just seemed like the ideas were not well put together and the book felt extremely incomplete. There were also some spelling errors.
I would say this was probably closer to 2.75 rating. It was ok. I think this actually would have been much better with a few extra chapters because the relationship moved at rocket speed and I would have liked to see a few more conversations/growth to get to that point.
I don't usually comment on editing because it doesn't bother me a ton but this definitely needed an extra round of edits. Lots of little errors and I even think there were two chapters flipped around because we went five years to her getting the tattoo and then five years after that and then back to the tattoo. It was a little odd.
i wouldve given this a higher rating cause the story was good but the pov changes were very confusing, and you have to open the chapter select menu just to see who’s pov the chapter is supposed to be. usually the character’s name is under the chapter number on the actual chapter page. and the time jumps were also confusing. one moment skye’s leaving the hospital and then bam no warning its suddenly 5 years later and then bam next chapter another sudden 5 years later but then wait the next chapter is suddenly 5 years prior then back to the 2nd time skip. it made some parts confusing to keep up with.
Not good. Embarrassed I read this. The book was recommended as similar to the boys of tommen series and it did not compare. Not even close. It did have soooo much potential but it just did not hit. Read on kindle unlimited. Each chapter didn’t even have a heading about whose chapter it was even though it was multi pov. The only way I knew whose pov it was because of skipping back to the chapter section of the book. So rushed. One second they’re locking her in the basement then the next they’re bringing groceries to her house where her dad beats the shit out of her and almost killed her. Then 5 years later they’re like “omg she was always the one” like I need some context and more details
This was a quick read and keeping that in mind I was prepared for it not to be fleshed out. It started so well with a dramatic and emotional beginning, but when they met again years later it was extremely quick with no real connection. One major issue with it though was not the story but the fact that you couldn’t tell whose POV it was until few paragraphs into chapters or by constantly flicking back to contents page. It was also tricky to tell when each chapter was occurring as there was several time jumps. Despite all this it was a quick easy read and despite the lack of relationship connection was enjoyable.
This was a quick spicy read. It wasn’t really graphic but you got enough to enjoy it and picture it in your head. Ian, Logan, and Axel bullied Skye in high school but at the same time kind of looked out for her. Years later they meet again and it goes from there. The epilogue I felt jumped to far. By 5 years I thought there would’ve been more. It’s worth a read just remember it’s not an in-depth type of book.
This was a short & spicy read but also had a few problems.
“Dad dragged me off the table by my hair and threw me onto the tile floor, kicking me in the still-healing ribs.” Umm what hair? He shaved her bald the day before!!
This story could use some editing. There is no indication of a time jump. It just happened right in the middle of a chapter. It felt like I was missing pages from the story & it was a bit confusing to realize 5 years had passed.
I’m torn on my rating, I actually really liked how it started and it pulled me into the story and the characters. It was well done, but the ending felt rushed and like I didn’t get to know the characters. I think perhaps this needed to be a series rather than a stand alone. The characters needed more time for development and for them to work through the trauma from the beginning.
Very confused - fast paced -juvenile -not justifiable - money doesn’t earn forgiveness - no real connection - no reasoning Although it has all this I still wanted to know what happend at the end & was left disappointed As their relationship was based on lust alone no real connection between them.
I love Skye and her boys. They have all been through so much, but poor Skye has gone through the most. I loved watching her grow up throughout the book and become the woman that she is. I love Rachel for helping Skye see things more clearly and finally forgiving the boys so they all could be happy.
I don't usually leave reviews.... This book was meh. The guys really needed more fleshing out and some serious character development. I finished it only because it was a quick read. I literally can't picture any of the characters and the time jumps weren't announced at all except maybe one time so it got confusing. Overall it had promise but fell short
It starts kinda like a slow burn really good not perfect but good. Then it's like the author got bored or fed up and decided to rush it. Could have been better if the author stuck with the slow burn and either made the book longer or turned it into a duet.
I was really liking the story line, but couldn't finish the book. It was confusing there were different POVs, but nothing was labeled. So you are left guessing who was talking until you could figure it out. Then the time jumps weren't labeled at all either, and that's confusing 🫤. I think it could have been a really good book, but I couldn't deal with all the crazy unknowns.
This book kept me on my toes. I loved how the story built and you got to see the characters grow but also how they showed their feelings. The love that these boys had as teenagers only grew as they became men.
I enjoyed the premise of the story. It felt to me kinda like it was missing some chapers. Don't get me wrong, I love I spicy book done right, only this went from none at all to full-on, all-out spice, no build-up, in my opinion. It really messed with my head, and I can not fully understand why.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Skye’s story is intense and shows how amazing survivors are. Even when broken she showed her strength. The guys were both horrendous and amazing. I loved the character development even though it was a short story the characters evolved.
The plot is good. The characters are somewhat relatable. I really think a lot more groveling needed to happen. There were quite a few grammatical errors, and one of the chapters was out of sync with the timeline of the book. If you can look past that it was a decent enough story.
I didn’t think I was gonna end up liking this book, but I actually did. You definitely have to check your trigger warnings with this book. I actually liked it a lot.
This is a romantic relationship between a female and her bullies. They are older and on each others mind as time went on. The female main characters is strong to rebuild her life after the pain, and the man that bullies became more...
Good story. The grovel was weak. Most of her forgiving seemed the result of the passage of time rather than their truly sincere remorse. Still, it was a pretty good read.
It was ok… I had such high hopes for this book but the ending just seemed very rushed. It really could have used some more chapters around the end to build the characters a bit more towards that type of relationship. However, I will say that I bawled my eyes out over the first third of this book.
This book could have been SO much more. There needed to be some type of serious conflict in the present and not just in the past. It was so anticlimactic and then it just ended.
This book while a quick and easy read lacked dimension. I was entertained but it was nothing to really call home about. I wish it was longer and it went more into the emotions and feelings of the characters. I felt bored because I couldn’t connect with the characters.
Would have preferred if the POV changes had been indicated so you didn't have to try to figure out who's POV you were reading. Also, chapter 14 seemed out of order...?
Fast read. Bullies turned protectors and then together and happy ever after. This is a fast read , and sometimes the story just jumps from one part to boom, now we adults and together. Keeping that in mind i loved the story and eventually happy ending.
I really enjoyed this book; it was very well written and easily enjoyable. I do not think the MMCs groveled enough at all. The FMC deserved more from them. Overall, I did enjoy the book and the FMC growth.✨
I loved this from the first page to the last, would have read it quicker but had to do the daily living stuff, so had to leave it, but still only took 24hrs to read, it was quick paced and had me wanting more. Love it
