It was only supposed to be one night—a hot, nameless encounter with the gruff, gorgeous, older stranger.
When you’re on the run from a killer, you can’t afford attachments. For over a year, I’ve been alone, never staying in one place long, fighting to survive.
But when the tall, muscled man with the intriguing ink steps in to help me with an obnoxious admirer, we end up sharing a coffee. Coffee turns into the hottest night of my life.
I never expected to see him again.
But when I walk into Hard Burn—the best gym in New Orleans—desperate to learn how to fight, I discover my stranger is none other than Beauden Fury.
When Beau discovers I’m being hunted, I see the true depth of his protective streak. He gives me a job, and says he’ll train me to protect myself. But he also makes it clear that he thinks I’m too young, too vulnerable, and too nice for him.
Now we’re spending hours together, side by side, and it’s hard to remember that I can’t let myself get too close. It’s even harder to fight our red-hot desire.
But the man hunting me hasn’t given up.
Can I defeat a killer, and prove to Beau that what we have is worth fighting for?
The Fury fierce, loyal, and live by their own code Five men who grew up in foster care and became brothers by choice. They vow to always have each other’s no questions, no doubts, no hesitation. They protect their own…always.

I lost interest in the romance aspect when Beau chose to go on a date with the OW to move on from Bell. He said he didn't really enjoy their time since he kept thinking about her, and by the end of the night, he just drove the OW home without even giving her a kiss. Is this supposed to make me feel better???
Because the fact that he thought this would help him move on from his feelings for Bell was more than enough to get my blood boiling. 😡 I get that guys can be dumb, but it still blows my mind how dumb they can be sometimes. 🤦♀️
After that, I totally focused on the suspense and the capture of the killer. I was curious about how he'd get his comeuppance, but honestly, it ended up being pretty underwhelming. 🤷♀️ I really wanted him to face some serious consequences and feel the pain for a bit, but the way it all wrapped up was just too quick and utterly disappointing. 🤧
Like I said, I don't give a flying crap about the MCs relationship, but I still have to read every single part of the book just to get the full picture of the suspense. So when the bad guy finally got caught, Beau pulled the whole "I'm not good enough for her" card and chose to push away Bell, hurting her in the process.
Guess it’s on me for believing she’d finally stand up for herself and walk away. But surprise, surprise, Beau's brothers and their partners managed to calm down Bell and even asked her to be patient with him. 🤦♀️ They told her his backstory, why he is the way he is, and why they were expecting her to give him some grace and not give up on him. Like whyyyy does she have to be the mature one in this scenario??? 🥴
She's a better person than me for sure, because I don't possess that level of understanding, patience, and kindness. If I were her, I'm not gonna talk to him, since he's the one who pushed me away and ended whatever was happening between us. So why should I be the one who needs to go after him? 🤧
Then the bonus epilogue was sooo meh. I really thought I'm going to see all the MCs lives like years later, considering this is the last book in this series. Disappointingly, it was only months later and with a super brief wedding of the other MCs in this series, and that's basically it. 🤧 And I was like that's it??? That's all I'm gonna get??? This is the series finale and that's all how this will end??? 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Again, probably my fault for expecting too much, but can you blame me? This is the series last book, so I did expect quite a bang. Sadly, it didn't deliver. 😩
Book info: - Age gap (10+??) - Second chance-ish (they had ONS and met again after one month) - ONS - Girl on the run - Forced proximity - Workplace romance - Mention of abuse on women - Serial Killer - No cheating, OMD, separation - OWD (Beau went on a date to get over Bell 🤮) - No V - HEA (mos later, married)

Boring, I didn’t feel any chemistry between them, and the killer was pitiful.
Oh I had high hopes at the beginning, that this book was different. I was so disappointed when it was exactly the same. 🥲 It’s not very well written in places either. Which is shocking for Anna Hackett.
Bell is on the run from a serial killer who is determined that she will die. Somehow this killer manages to track Bell across America as she flees for her life. There’s no explanation how the killer tracked her, how Bell managed to escape him each time, how she was surviving without a steady income, how she got jobs without giving her name.
When Bell meets Beau Fury, they have a one night stand that was supposed to be hot and sexy but really wasn’t. After the killer finds her yet again she travels to New Orleans where the Fury brothers live and somehow manages to find Beau who is the best trainer for fighting apparently. 😂 Oh how convenient. Beau gives Bell a job and starts to train her and of course they start having sex. HERE WE GO AGAIN, Beau is very clear in his thought, (Doesn't bother to tell Bell though.😡) that it’s only temporary until Bell is safe. YAWN……. He can’t be with her forever as his hands are dirty because he was in the army, then a mercenary, and his parents were awful. I can’t believe it’s the same old plot, yet again!
Of course the killer is soon hot on her Bell’s heals. HOW??? To be honest at that point I couldn’t care less. As it was ridiculous. I just wasn’t feeling any chemistry or deep feelings between them, the sex scenes were terrible again. They weren’t hot at all. 😭
Claim is the thrilling fifth installment in Anna Hackett's Fury Brothers series, a captivating blend of romantic suspense and adventure. The story revolves around a tight-knit group of alpha males who have forged a brotherhood from humble beginnings.
These fiercely loyal men are not just committed to building their own lives but are also dedicated to loving and respecting the women who capture their hearts. Each of them is caught off guard when they find their soulmate, a discovery that brings unexpected joy and challenges.
When one of their own faces a dangerous threat, the entire group rallies together, exhibiting their unbreakable bond as they confront and dismantle the menacing forces against them. The narrative is rich with exhilarating action sequences, sizzling chemistry between characters, intense tension, and a gripping plot full of intrigue, drama, and peril.
Though some elements of the storyline might feel familiar or predictable, I find myself completely engrossed in the experience of rereading this series, relishing each emotional twist and turn. series. series.
I've been a huge Anna Hackett fan for years, and this series has made me sad. I loved the Hell Squad, Galactic Gladiators, and the offshoot of that one--these series were super fun and exciting. I used to auto-buy her, but that stopped some time ago. But most of the romantic suspense stuff does not cut it. Tons of holes around 2 dimensional characters, way loads of TSTL behaviors, and increasingly younger female leads. Seriously, 23?
The female lead was able to get away from physical encounters with this bad guy multiple times? No details or even scenarios about that in this story, just smoke. Live off of no money? How can that happen? No help? Yeah, no. And she's way, way, way, too young, like a YA novel. Yuck yuck yuck. The female lead is virtually two dimensional with no real backstory other than some recited lines in the story. She's basically a characature of a damsel in distress.
The male lead is a carbon copy of many leads in her recent series, the Unworthy Man. This trope is so so overdone, and Anna Hackett has driven this one into the wall. There's just nothing to Beau Fury.
And boy, I am super OVER the impossible-to-catch/kill bad guys. That's such a weak writer device. There's no discussion of how this dude moves easily and fluidly around the country, always able to catch up with the female lead like magic. Huh? He's physically soft and out of shape, yet manages to repeatedly outrun superbly built athletes chasing him through city streets. Several times. Really? Where does this dude get the money to live on cash only? But no law enforcement agency can get a bead on him? No fancy security group? Sure. When they finally do catch up to him, it's pretty anti-climactic.
I'm hoping that when a new series starts, it will not follow the same weak template that most of her most recent series have.
Well the last Fury brother is definitely off the market now as in this book he meets Bell who definitely lights up all his buttons ! These protective alpha brothers fall hard and Beau is no exception although throughout this story Beau is very much in denial about his emotions but of course the author ensures that we get a happy ending. Bell has been on the run for over a year from the man who killed her friend but she's exhausted and pretty lonely when she happens to meet gruff, sexy Beau . He might think she's too young and inexperienced for him but Bell certainly has other ideas ! Just one night sounds right but a few weeks later Bell walks into a gym and yup you guessed it this gym belongs to Beau so let sparks fly and fun and games begin. This was a very quick read and easy to fall into. There's the usual sweet and funny interactions between the Fury family and actually quite a lot of hot, heavy scenes between the couple which felt a little too much for my taste but I know many enjoy dirty talk and plenty of steam. I very much enjoyed the cat and mouse feel as Bell was stalked by her would be killer but the surprise at the end that allowed Bell to utilise all that she could be felt very satisfying but obviously my lips are sealed. A fast tale with steam, danger and humour and a good ending to this series but there's definitely scope to revisit so let's see what the author dreams up next. This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Audiobook Review: Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers are amazing narrators, and I've listened to some of their work previously. They were really good in this dual narration, so I'll recommend the audiobook for sure.
Bell has been on the run for over a year, but she still can't seem to escape the person who murdered her best friend and was now after her—chasing her, tormenting her. She comes across Beauden Fury at a restaurant when he saves her from unwanted company. For the first time in a year, Bell feels something other than despair or fear and wants to hold on to that feeling for a bit longer, which is how they end up spending the night together. The morning after, she leaves, and Beauden is left with this inexplicable sense of loss and worry over her.
One month later, Bell walks into Hard Burn, requesting for the owner to train her in self-defense so she can be better prepared to save herself, but the last person she expects to see there is Beau.
What started off as an attraction on the first night they met ended up in them feeling like this was far more than a random hookup the morning after. Once they meet again a month later and Beau learns the full extent of what Bell was going through, he feels fiercely protective of her and vows to keep her safe and put an end to this nightmare for her.
This was a fast-paced book filled with action, suspense, romance, and spice, which were all balanced very well and kept me hooked from start to end. I loved how Bell took the lead when it was time because she truly needed that after being hunted by this man for so long.
Beauden Fury has come a long way from where he had started. Having addicts for parents who only cared about how they'd get their next fix and then eventually ending up in foster care, he was convinced that someone like him and his family background shouldn't be with anyone. And though he'd seen his brothers find their way to love and even encouraged it, he truly didn't feel like he deserved it. There was a lot of conflict on his part when it came to his feelings for Bell, also due to their age gap.
One thing that I love in Anna Hackett's books is how she writes these strong, independent, self-sufficient, and fierce FMCs.
What Bell witnessed and suffered through was horrific, and her tormentor wasn't letting up. She had to lose everything and go on the run, always looking over her shoulder, terrified and alone. But she was also determined to not let this man win, which is why she was adamant about Beau training her in self-defense. I loved reading about her progress with Beau and how she worked hard on herself to fight back. And though her feelings for Beau seemed to be growing, she didn't want to put him at any risk when she was being targeted.
The romance between Beau and Bell developed at a good pace. Though there was attraction and the feeling of things being more serious than a casual hookup, neither was ready to explore more because of their own reasons. But they also helped each other reflect on things and realize that they deserve to be happy and deserve to find and accept love. I loved that ending with how Bell took charge when Beau was being stupid. With romance came the spice, and it was just so, so good. It didn't take away from the plot but was also so very hot.
The side characters were amazing, and I loved coming back to this series, reading about the Fury brothers and their women. The whole series is built on the found family trope, and it's truly heartwarming to see how these 5 men overcame so much in their lives—who met at their lowest point and decided to form their own family, stuck by each other's side through everything, and eventually found their place and the love they deserved. The women are always equally involved, and the bond they've created is something else.
I can't believe the Fury Brothers series has come to an end.
Why you will love this book… 🔥Age Gap 🔥Military Hero 🔥Protector Hero 🔥Contemporary/Suspense
Bell is on the run from a bad man she meet Beau on the run where he protects her from a jerk they have an amazing one night.. Beau and Bell end up meet again where this time he isn’t letting go .. Bell and Beaus chemistry is off the charts they try to fight it but they don’t win.. Beau will do whatever it takes to protect Bell !!
Another fantastic book. Beau was the last brother to have a woman and I just love his posessiveness. He was so protective of Bell and at the same time he encouraged her to be stronger and independent. He tried to resist her but there was no use. Bell was so strong, having to survive alone, not knowing where you could end up. She was a real bad*ss
This is the last Fury brother story and he falls hard. Great story and wrap up to the series. Dante and Mila, Colt and Macy are still my favorite stories. Definitely read in order to get the most out of the relationships and understand the brother’s backgrounds.
IM BACKKKK!!!! I think I’ve finally defeated the biggest reading slump of my life. I knew this book would deliver and it did!! Literally prefect brain rot but idc.
This is my honest review of an advanced reader copy of this book.
Bell was running and didn't need someone to save her. She needed to learn how to defend and save herself.
The connection between Bell and Beau was immediate, with a spicy I terlude before going their separate ways.
Still on the run, Bell happened to walk into Beau's gym to get fighting lessons. They reconnected and found comfort in each other, always thinking it would have an end date.
Beau and Bell opened up to each other about their pasts, and it just proves how absolutely perfect they are for each other.
Bell has been on the run since her friend was killed and she found herself in the killer's sights. Then she meets a rough and rugged man who steps in and runs off someone who won't leave her alone while she's stopped at a diner. Spending just one memorable night together will have to sustain her indefinitely, and it does until one day she walks into a gym for fighting lessons and who happens to own that gym but the man from her memories, Beau (Beauden) Fury. They can't continue what they started before, but he can certainly give her the lessons she needs to help her take down the man after her.
Beau cannot believe the woman he hasn't been able to forget is actually standing in his gym, so long after their memorable time together. He can't touch her, though, can't have anything with her - she's too young, too innocent, and far too good to be involved with someone like him, with his past. But all the close proximity is doing away with his control and his resistance. But as close as they've become, he knows their time together is temporary. As soon as the threat is gone, Bell will be free to go back to her life, go to college, go back to her mom, whatever she wants. She won't want to be stuck with an old, grumpy guy with the past he has. Or won't she? Perhaps he should let her make that choice...
These Fury brothers are so resistant to love! Thank God love isn't resistant to them and women have come into their lives and brought them to their knees. Beau was particularly resistant, and it was hard to read of him being so down on himself. Like his found family, he's amazing though, and has gone through so much that really only made him stronger. He deserved an equally strong, amazing partner, and he found her in Bell. I wanted to hug them both and was glad Bell put her foot down and decided to fight for her man. I'm going to miss reading about this family by choice, but if the series had to end, Anna chose a wonderful couple for the conclusion.

Claim is the fifth and most likely the final book in the Fury Brothers series (barring any epilog-type short stories) – because there are five Fury Brothers and as this book opens, Beauden Fury is the only brother left standing alone. Not that THAT lasts long after the woman he knows only as Bell walks into his New Orleans gym and pretty much demands that he train her to fight.
So she can fight back against the literal demon that is chasing her. Not that Beau knows what – or rather who – is driving her. Just that he’s certain that something is. Because the morning after they met in some tiny town in the middle of nowhere – and spent one glorious night together – she fled without a trace, leaving nothing but a sweet memory he can’t get out of his head and a name that isn’t nearly enough to track her down with – if it’s even hers at all.
He thought it was for the best. He’s convinced that he’s too old, too rough and too broken for her.
As much as her night with Beau was the best, safest, ANYTHING she’d had since she went on the run, Bell thought it was best to leave because it’s too dangerous for anyone she gets close to. Chandler Carr, the serial killer chasing her down and tormenting her every step is toying with her, his prey, as he runs her down – the only one who ever got away.
Bell comes to New Orleans because she always wanted to see the city – and because her would-be killer found her in Pensacola. She’s in Beau’s gym because she needs the best to train her to fight back – because if she can’t fight back and fight hard the next time Carr catches up with her it will be her death. The notes he’s left her – no matter how far or how fast she runs – make that frighteningly clear.
No matter how much Beau and Bell each tell themselves that the other would be better off without them – they can’t keep their hands off each other and can’t resist falling hard for each other. Even though they each believe that their relationship is best if it’s only temporary – until Carr is out of the picture.
Of course, they are both wrong, Wrong, WRONG! The question is just how big of an idiot one or both of them will have to be before they figure out that they belong together.
If Carr lets them live that long.
Escape Rating B: Readers of the Fury Brothers series will see echoes from the first book, Fury, in this final book. Mila Clifton was being chased by the mob in that first book after witnessing a murder. Bell is being chased by a serial killer after she witnessed him leaving her apartment and discovered that he’d murdered her roommate.
Neither woman was responsible for the mess that they found themselves in – and both of them were on the run because anyone they got close to got dead. Both of them get involved with the Fury Brothers because they’ve moved into the Fury orbit and have each met someone who can’t resist protecting them. And because they can’t resist their protector no matter how much they think they should.
The ‘heroine in jeopardy reacting by running’ trope is not one of my favorites. But it works for the Fury Brothers, in both cases, because in spite of it being a cliché it doesn’t descend into one. Bell is not TSTL. She doesn’t do anything stupid – although there’s a point where the reader thinks she might have that turns out MUCH better.
Neither is remotely responsible for the fix they’re in – not by any standard of guilt except possibly their own. And in neither case is their pursuer an EvilEx(™). I personally hate those stories.
Claim does run straight into another trope that can go pear-shaped, but in this case fits well within the setup of the series as a whole AND gets its comeuppance in very short order once Carr is out of the picture, and that’s the “I’m not worthy” trope. At first they’re both suffering from it as Bell’s presence does paint a target on anyone she gets close to, while Beau thinks he’s not worthy of anyone’s love because of the addict parents he ran away from. (The Fury Brothers have all had a bit of an issue with the “I’m not worthy” thing for reasons that are clear in their stories, so this isn’t out of left field. Also, Bell does a great job of separating Beau’s head from his ass as soon as their situation is resolved.
Very much like my reaction to that first book, I liked this one in spite of myself. The description had me worried that it was going to dive into a whole bunch of tropes that I’m not all that fond of, but it didn’t and the blend of if not going to any of the places I worried about while wrapping up this marvelous series of found family stories AND telling a hot romance set in a fascinating city absolutely did work for this reader.
Series: Fury Brothers #5 Rating: 4 stars - It was really good
For over a year, Bell has been on her own running from a killer. She can’t afford to stay in one place long or get attached to anyone. But when a muscular man with a lot of ink steps in to help her, she finds herself letting down her walls for the hottest night of her life. She never expects to see him again but when she ends up at Hard Burn desperate to learn to fight, she finds herself looking into the eyes of Beau again.
Like the previous books in this series, this book was another fast paced, emotional and action packed story. Bell has been on the run trying to avoid a serial killer. No matter where she goes though he keeps finding her and that path eventually leads to New Orleans. I really loved Bell. She may be on the run but she is determined to learn to fight and stop her killer. She was just a strong, capable, and sweet woman who is determined to get her life back.
Beau is a protective alpha male who is instantly attracted to Bell. While he is determined to help Bell, he does respect her boundaries and doesn’t push for more information right away. Beau was a protective man who understood Bell’s need to take care of herself and so he trains her to fight and helps set up a plan to capture her killer. I really like Beau but I did get a little bit tired of hearing his lame reasons for trying to not make their relationship permanent.
The hunt for a killer in this was interesting and action packed. They deal with multiple attacks but in the end finally catch the killer. I really loved that we see Bell being the main person trying to capture the killer and that she puts all her new training to use. I hate when the heroine is training to defend herself but doesn’t use it when it's needed.
Overall, this was a great ending for the Fury Brothers series and another great couple. I quite enjoyed these brothers and their ladies. Also I liked the brief cameo we get of Zane and Monroe (Stealing from Mr. Rich).
TW: rape and murder of a friend; grief; house fire; mentions of abusive, neglectful, and drug abusing family;

In Anna Hackett’s Claim (Fury Brothers #5), Bella is on the run from a serial killer when she’s helped by a gorgeous stranger in Texas with whom she has a one-night stand—never expecting to see him again. A month later Bella enters Hard Burn, New Orleans’ best gym to learn how to defend herself and fight and discovers that ex-boxer and gym owner Beauden Fury is the hot stranger from her one-night stand she hasn’t stopped thinking about. Beau hasn’t stopped thinking about her either.
Hackett drew me in with her vivid, detailed, descriptive writing, and superb world-building. With high stakes that keep you on the edge of your seat, her intriguing story is suspenseful, thrilling, and disturbing. The action and fight scenes are well-structured and exciting. I love the wonderfully written, breathtaking conclusion of the suspense arc. She deftly characterizes her conflicted, complex, relatable, and likable characters through snarky banter and sweet, sexy, steamy, and intimate interactions and love scenes that reveal and evolve them and further the novel’s plot.
Former military, mercenary, and foster child, Beau is a grumpy, kind loner, dealing with trauma and baggage from his childhood. He also has a protective streak, which leads him to push Bella away believing she deserves better than someone with his background. After discovering a psychotic killer is hunting her, he agrees to train her and offers her a job. However, he wants to keep things professional because he feels she’s young, vulnerable, and too good for him. As they train together, their attraction and connection deepen though they try to resist.
Bella is a college student whose life was destroyed by a serial killer. After the tragic night that lands her on his radar, she disappears to stay alive. On the run from a killer for a year, Bella fights to survive by never staying in one place long and avoiding attachments to keep herself and anyone she comes in contact with from getting hurt. She’s courageous, stands up for herself, and doesn’t give up without a fight. Bella and Beau are deeply drawn to each other from the moment they first meet, and it only grows stronger the more time they spend together. They make a good pair.
I love it when a character learns to fight and defend himself or herself from another and the two are attracted to each other and the author explores their attraction within those scenes. Hackett includes some of these scenes, with a sexy twist. However, I wish she had included more scenes where they were practicing fighting techniques.
Claim is a captivating, angsty, sexy, suspenseful, steamy, romantic, and fast-paced novel highly recommended for fans of on-the-run heroine, age gap, found family, protector hero, former mercenary, and ex-boxer romances.
4.5 stars
Thanks to Anna Hackett and The Author Agency for the ARC.
Anna Hackett's Claim is an engaging addition to the Fury Brothers series, combining suspense, romance, and personal growth in a captivating narrative. The story follows Bell, a young woman on the run from a relentless killer, who unexpectedly crosses paths with the gruff and handsome Beauden Fury. Their initial encounter leads to a passionate night, but Bell's precarious situation forces her to remain guarded.
The chemistry between Bell and Beau is electric, and Hackett does an excellent job of portraying their evolving relationship. Beau's protective instincts kick in when he learns about Bell's dangerous circumstances, leading him to offer her both a job and training in self-defense. However, his internal struggle with his past—marked by trauma and a belief that he is not worthy of love—adds depth to his character. This tension creates a compelling dynamic as they navigate their feelings while trying to stay one step ahead of the threat looming over Bell.
Hackett's writing shines in its ability to blend action with emotional resonance. The pacing is brisk, keeping readers engaged as the stakes rise and the attraction between the protagonists intensifies. While some elements of the plot may feel familiar within the genre—such as the protective alpha male trope—Hackett infuses enough originality and heart to make it feel fresh.
However, there are moments where Beau's reluctance to fully embrace his feelings for Bell can become repetitive, potentially frustrating readers who crave more decisive character development. Despite this, the story ultimately delivers a satisfying conclusion, showcasing the resilience of love against adversity.
Overall, Claim is a thrilling read that balances romance with action, making it a worthy installment in the series. Hackett successfully crafts a tale that resonates with themes of survival, healing, and the transformative power of love. For fans of romantic suspense, this book is sure to entertain and leave them eager for more from the Fury Brothers.
I have absolutely loved every moment in this series! I originally found Anna with Dante and Mila’s story and been along for the ride ever since, while also reading her other releases I love her books!
And now we have to say goodbye to the Fury Brothers they have all been spoken for ladies! It’s sad but so sweet!
This book has some heavy topics so definitely check the tiggers before diving in. I really loved this story it’s full of suspense and action. We meet Bell in the beginning of the book on the run from a truly terrible well I can’t call him a man because he isn’t so we will go with cockroach. She’s alone and scared but when Beau steps in at the diner when another guy is giving her a hard time I knew this story would be good! Beau is a strong, protective, alpha male with a traumatic backstory. They share a wonderful night together and Bell slips away in the night. Until one month later she lands in his gym looking for Beauden the pro boxer to train her only to discover that he is her beau. He breaks through her protective walls and her need to run and she makes him face some hidden demons and realize that he is a good man and deserving of a happy ending. I loved this story and how she found her place and friends. She finally had a place to stop and settle and the guys had her back!
This is a quick read I read it in a few hours and I really loved all the characters and the storyline. There is a wonderful chemistry between them and great spicy scenes. I loved that he empowers her and she is determined to be strong and defend herself.
And the epilogue omg!!! Love it!!! I’m looking forward to her next series with Ro after meeting him in this one I know it’s going to be a wild ride! But I do hope we get to see these couples in cameos of her next series! I want to see them a few years down the road and how they all are.
🔥Age Gap 🔥Military Hero 🔥Protector Hero 🔥Contemporary/Suspense
I'm new to this series and read out of order - this being the last in the Fury Brothers series - but I'm hooked, regardless. This book was full of action, suspense, swoony romance and great chemistry. I loved Beau and Bell equally. He was strong and protective, she was brave and sweet.
From the opening scene to the cute epilogue, this book kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat. The strong family tie and friendships were perfectly woven in and made the story richer. Not to mention, it piqued my interest about the other Fury brothers! I will definitely be checking the past books out soon.
Beau and Bell were both captivating and so easy to root for. I loved that their one night was more for both of them and that when Bell needed help, fate brought her back to Beau. He was a true modern day Hero and she was the damsel that saved herself.
Favorites Bits: 🖤 🖤 🖤
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. SAFETY INFO:
The Fury brothers just keep getting better and better. I was so excited when this book dropped on my Kindle I devoured it in one sitting! Bell is on the run from a dangerous man, and he is hot on her heels. A chance encounter she meets Beau in a small town and spends one incredible night just being a girl. Not a girl on the run. Danger keeps getting closer and she is in desperate need to protect herself so she finds the one man that can teach her those skills. So she heads to New Orleans to find him. Back in New Orleans and Beau can’t get the girl he spent an incredible night with. He knows that he shouldn’t, it was clear she was running from something; and she is much too young for him. Bell ends up back in town and needs help to defend herself; he very reluctantly agrees. And he vows to keep his hands off of her. While Bell might be young she has had a world of experience that most young ladies don’t have and is desperate to keep those around her safe, too. So connections, friends, and entanglements are not something she does. She needs to learn how to defend herself. But the connection between Beau and Bell grows and they give into temptation as the enemy gets closer and closer to Bell. Beau and his brothers are all in when it comes to keep Bell safe and nothing will stop Beau from taking down the man after Bell. This book was a stellar and quick read full of chemistry, banter, amazing Fury family antics, and suspense all of the things that Hackett gives readers. If you love an age gap, a strong heroine, and a found family that keeps their own safe this series is for you!
DESTINY SEND'S BELL BACK INTO THE ARMS OF HER PROTECTOR
Claim is an exhilarating read with witty banter, wonderful characters, lots of action, emotional moments, life-threatening issues, fun times, breathtaking romance scenes and a fabulous happy forever.
Bell has been running for her life for a year, hiding from an evil man who wants to harm her. She stops at a small town for food and meets Beau in a diner: when they leave thunder crashes through the sky and teaming rain soaks them. Low funds have her spending the night with Beau in his motel room: she is gone in the morning, leaving him sighing as he misses her. Destiny sends Bell to New Orleans, where she finds the city safeguarded by the five Fury brothers. Bell needs more self-defense lessons to protect herself from her hunter. She goes to Hard Burn best gym in the city for learning to fight owned by her Beau: Beauden Fury. At the sight of her, Beau’s heart races with desire. Bell is determined to have him train her instead of another trainer: he caves. He’s too old for her, so he thinks, has a dark past that haunts him: she may be young but mature couldn’t care less about age or his past. This story has a lot of twists and bends: an entertaining read to the end.
I shed tears, laughed out loud, and cheered at the end. A believable romance with a hero and heroine that belonged together. Backstories reveal what motivates the characters. Beau and Bell are both protectors. Their love shines throughout the story. Loved this storyline; received a pre-released copy.
NO I DON'T WANT THIS TO BE THE LAST FURY BOOK!!!!!
When I first saw this book cover I was taken back because in my head it wasn't who I pictured as Beau thru all these books. But I was into the story right away.
Bell was an incredible character, she's being chased by a killer/rapist who hasn't been able to be caught. He murdered and raped her bestie in college Years back while she's was home but didn't know it. She's carried that guilt with her. and she's been on the run, Scared and alone with this crazy killer stalking her. Until she meets Beau at a diner and they spend an incredible night together. She is headed for new Orleans to beg to be trained to defend herself and she is hoping the famous fighter and popular Fury brother Beauden will take her on.....little does she know Beau is the man she had that one night stand with.
Of course Beau's protection instincts kick in and he does more than teach her how to fight but he is in denial he loves her because he thinks he isn't worthy of love. He wants to protect her and keep her safe so she can go out and live her beautiful life that she deserves. there were some very suspenseful parts (the fire? Iykyk) and of course the final standoff (not a spoiler, you know its going to happen eventually!)
When it comes to the women these Fury brothers love, they never have a say in how bad they get whipped into love. Loved seeing all the brothers and their ladies, seeing Daisy as well and seeing all of the brothers getting their HEA'S.
This is the story of Bella and Beauden, the last and, in my opinion, the most emotionally vulnerable of the Furys. Bella was fleeing from a nightmare and preparing for the worst, but fate knew how to direct her steps and take her where she needed to go. Beau Fury had continued, for years, dragging along the bad memories of his origins, but Bella was a strong fighter who supported him and made him feel. For Bella, Beau had offered her more than she had expected and despite the doubts and fears that kept him trapped in the same circle, she was not going to lose him. What tension for Bella and for me that the stalking made me feel the restlessness and fear that it generated in the young woman. While I was reading, I was aware of what was moving behind me. The Furys were well committed to the well-being of their own and the story is full of strong feelings of brotherhood and loyalty. Everyone felt Beau's struggle with himself and tried to help him overcome it. I liked the character of Bella, facing her own fears and offering Beau the strength to face his. The villain was one of those that appear in the newspapers and make us fear for our people. I was impressed by some of the descriptions because of how ordinary the circumstances might seem and the risk they could present. Lots of action, suspense that kept me on tenterhooks, a crazy and deadly villain, romance and a lot of passion. I really like these stories that are always very dynamic in the situations and make me think.
Oh my gosh, Anna Hackett has done it again with Claim! From the very first page, I was hooked and completely immersed in this high-stakes, sizzling romance. Beauden Fury is everything you want in a hero—protective, fierce, and so deliciously brooding, while the heroine is just the right mix of strength and vulnerability, making you root for her from the start.
The chemistry between Beau and our heroine is off-the-charts, and the way their connection builds is intense and electric! I loved how their relationship unfolds—full of tension, banter, and steamy moments that had my heart racing. There’s such a beautiful balance of action, romance, and emotion that Anna Hackett weaves together seamlessly. Beau's protective streak is fierce, but seeing him slowly let his guard down with her is just perfection.
The storyline of being hunted added an incredible layer of suspense, keeping me on the edge of my seat, while the backdrop of the Fury brothers’ bond adds warmth and loyalty that makes the book feel like so much more than just a romance. I love that these brothers have each other’s backs, and their fierce loyalty shines through.
The heroine’s fight for survival, her growing strength, and her determination to prove she’s worth the risk made the ending even more satisfying. If you love action-packed romance with protective, swoon-worthy heroes and strong heroines, Claim is a must-read!
I’m already counting down for the next book in the Fury Brothers series!
Evil is hunting Bell “Claim” has a dark undercurrent. Wonderful Bell is being hunted by a sadistic serial k!ller of young women, one of which was her best friend and roommate, Allison. Bell saw the k!ller and since then he’s tracked her, taunting her with how he wants to hurt her. Bell’s been on the run for a year now when she runs into a hot, mountain of a man who comes to her aid at a roadside diner. Both need a good night's sleep and some companionship, and it turns out they are perfect for each other, but…Bell heads to Florida in the morning and Beauden Fury heads home to New Orleans. By chance, soon Bell ends up in New Orleans, still on the run. She’s looking to get lost in the crowd. Bell also wants to learn how to fight hoping to defend herself if/when her pursuer catches her. She walks into Hard Burn and the arms of Beau Fury. They have a real connection, and Beau deeply needs to protect Bell. The Fury Brothers offer their protection as well. They are happy to see the affectionate feelings Beau has for Bell. I loved the Fury Brothers so much. Each one and their lady loves are wonderful people who lived through awful childhoods but picked themselves up and became huge successes. I thoroughly enjoyed the New Orleans settings. Lots of surprises in this story too. A great read with a very happy ending. Linda
A fantastic final book in the series, Beau may just be the most broken of all the brothers. He struggles the most with the baggage from his parents and his roots, but that in turn has made him the most protective of all of them. He didn't hesitate to join the army to help protect Reath, he is first to step in and help when his brothers or their women need anything and he collects dinted and damaged people at Hard Burn, people who just need a hand up, someone to believe in them and have their back. And that is why he has to help Bell, he knows she is running, someone is hunting her, he convinces himself he would help anyone....and he probably would. But that feeling in his chest, the need to see her, to touch her - he doesn't understand it, want it or deserve it..... who's running now Beau? It is heartbreaking that he doesn't feel worthy of love and happiness and it is difficult to understand his thought process... his brothers are worthy and they have escaped their pasts, but he hasn't and still isn't worthy. It makes no sense to any of them, thankfully Bell is no wilting flower, she is more than ready to fight for them and the future they both deserve. I will miss the Fury Brothers, this has been an awesome series which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
The big bad boxer turns soft for a girl after a one night stand where feelings became intertwined, leaving them wanting one another, but not until they take down a crazy serial killer out for blood, Bells blood.
I really liked reading Beau and Bells story, I liked the plot being he was a fighter while fighting his own internal emotions the entire book, not wanting to fall for Bell bc he didn’t think he deserved her after what happened in his childhood, each fury brother has this issue but Beau was the worst for this. Bell was a likeable character and I loved her character development from her being weak and vulnerable at the start of the book, then turning into a fighting badass at the end of it, sharing many steamy moments with Beau in the ring and on the gym mats many times!
Definitely one of the better books out of the series.
The final epilogue was a bit disappointing, as it was the last one I hoped it would have been a bit longer with a further time jump, it kinda left us with wanting closure rather than wanting more of them. I think a time jump further into the future would have been a better ending to the series to wrap up each couple and their growing family, sucks but I enjoyed the series overall and if you are looking for a fast paced, steamy romance with alpha males, then this is the series for you ✨
Beau is the last of the Fury brothers to fall and the man falls HARD. Sure, he falls and then fights it for all sorts of reasons he probably considers noble, but the point is that he knows Bell is his special someone from the start. Well, mostly from the start. Let's just say that he can't stop thinking about her after their memorable night together and having her walk into his gym is possibly the best thing that ever happened to him.
On Bell's end, she's a lady on the edge. She's on the run from a very bad man and her only thought is to keep those around her safe. Which means staying on the move and not making any attachments. While she was able to walk away from Beau after their one night together, she's not able to walk away (although she kind of tries) once they meet again. Mostly because Beau refuses to let her face what she's facing on her own.
Let's face it, with the combined might of the Fury family (both the brothers and their significant others), the bad guy doesn't stand a chance. But he does make life miserable for Bell before he gets his just desserts.
A solid ending to an excellent series. We got to see the brothers in action, catch up with a few familiar (billionaire) faces, and watch Beau and Bell find their happily ever after. GOOD STUFF ALL AROUND!
