The Well Lived Life was a warm, encouraging read that left me both reflective and motivated. I loved Gladys’s “secrets” and how practical and attainable many of them felt—I’m genuinely excited to start implementing a few into my own life. What surprised me most was realizing that she shared several of the same outlooks and habits as my own grandma, who is 101. That connection made the book feel even more meaningful and affirming. This wasn’t a read that felt overwhelming or preachy, but rather an invitation to pause, take stock, and choose joy more intentionally. I clearly have some work to do—and some joy to find—and I’m grateful this book nudged me in that direction.
