Omg I really enjoyed this one even though I kind of guessed it but I did at one point suspect everyone hahaha I wish she’d have argued with Adam more I was frustrated that she let so many lies and disloyalty go by I’d have left him and I wish that she’d have started an affair with Scott when he got out of prison but suppose that carries the story on for a book 2

This was suchhhhhh a good read!! I haven’t read a thriller in so long and I was really pleasantly surprised by this one.

The plot had me gripped from the start and I’m glad they got straight into it. Lucy’s paranoia throughout the book was really enticing and I enjoyed the manic stream of consciousness when the stakes were really high. That feeling of always trusting your gut shines true for this book.

I definitely don’t think I was suspicious of the two main twists we get at the end of the book. I was slightly suss of Adam, as his quiet nerdy demeanour always gave me the itch that there was a secret hidden about him. But I was SHOCKED by Cora. The way it all unraveled was so chaotic but it worked perfectly for the story.

I really enjoyed

If you want something a bit different to cosy, happy, chick lit but, nothing very creepy this is your book. I actually guessed part of the plot early on but there are some many twists and strands it didn’t spoil it. Read it in a week. Easy going and entertaining. Might make you look at photographs differently and eye your friends suspiciously…

The Couple In The Photo by Helen Cooper 📸

'They're your best friends.

Lucy and her husband do everything with their closest friends Cora and Scott. They've even bought a beach house together to enjoy summers with their kids. They're more than friends: they're family.

They're hiding something.

When a colleague passes around photographs from her honeymoon in the Maldives, Lucy is shocked to see Scott in one of the pictures, his arm around another woman.

The truth will change everything.

Then news breaks that the woman from the photograph has mysteriously vanished. Why was Scott there and what is he hiding?

As Lucy looks for answers, her whole life begins to unravel. If the lies start here, where do they end?'

Wow, wow, wow! What a twisty turn of events that was! I am reeling from this one.

All I can think about since finishing this book is poor Lucy 😢 happily living an idyllic life until she started picking away at a situation that didn't add up, and then everything around her started to unravel in the most unbelievable way.

The other three main characters Adam, Cora and Scott were very likeable and perfectly normal initially, but then as their layers were peeled back and their mysterious past started to come to light I soon realised that everything was far from what it seemed, which of course had me hooked and intrigued to find out more...

I don't want to give anymore away than I already have as this is definitely a book I'd recommend you experience for yourself. It's addictive and clever and caught me off guard so many times - which is what I love in a good thriller!

If you want a gripping read with a killer twist then look no further 📖✨️

I wanted to enjoy this more then I did. I found it lacked substance and I figured most of it out before I read it.

Found this a very gripping read and appreciated how everything came to a head. Characters are well developed and conflict of 'good' vs 'bad' well played. Will look out for more from this author.
