SteeleI'm a cyborg protector, trained to defend and fight. My latest mission with the team was to take down an alien Mesaarkan base hidden in the Montana Rockies. The Mesaarkans were kidnapping humans, shipping them off-world to be sold as slaves. As I swept through their quarters, searching for captives, I found something I never expected—my genetic mate, being tortured by a Saark. I killed him without hesitation.
This wasn’t how I imagined finding her, but Zaya is mine now. I'll do whatever it takes to help her heal and show her the love and protection she deserves.
Zaya
Steele is the cyborg mate I’d hoped for—my savior, bursting into my prison like a hero from a romance novel. He rescued me from the nightmare of alien captivity, and from the moment I saw him, I knew I was safe. We’re strangers, but the attraction between us is undeniable. Now, we have to figure out how to fit our lives together.
It's impossible not to fall for a big, handsome cyborg who dedicates himself to making my world better. In his arms, I can forget everything—except how much I want him.
But just when I thought we had a future, the aliens came back...

Abducted by ruthless aliens, imprisoned and repeatedly sexually assaulted and beaten, human Zaya dreams of being rescued by her generically suited cyborg mate. She’s stunned when a cyborg bursts into the cell and eliminates her torturer.
Cyborg Steele is gratified and greatly relieved to have stumbled upon his mate Zaya. He arranges for her to undergo a medically administered trauma treatment that greatly reduces the lingering effects of Zaya’s brutal experiences.
The pair return to Zaya’s family farmstead to find it salvageable and her animals present and accounted for. As they become intimate, their bond solidifies and they work toward a future together. However the threat from Zaya’s alien captors returns.
Will they get their happily ever after?
I received an advance reader copy from the author and bookfunnel, and I’m sharing my honest impressions.
I just couldn’t with this book. For me it’s dreadful. It feels more like an emotionless soldier reporting his latest assignment to his superior. It was clinical and cold and made me feel nothing. I wanted to go further but it left me cold and completely detached from the characters.
“I love you, Zaya. I’ve never felt so alive and so loved as when I am in your arms and inside of you.”
I'm going to start by saying that I enjoy this series a lot, only gave 3 stars because this short story felt a bit rushed, for prejudice of the world building. That said,I still enjoyed Steele and Zaya's sweet love story, there are mention of rape and torture but didn't felt real triggers, most are off story. A special mention to the storyline of the series and the character development that definitly deserve 4 stars. In the overall is an entertaining read in addiction to a good series.
This was an interesting start to a series. I liked part of the backstory about humans and the cyborgs as well as the aliens on earth. I Found that our two main characters having an Insta connection was very convenient. I also found that I never really got to know either of them very well as there was little exploration of their thoughts and feelings, rather greater focus on everything breeding related. It just happened so regularly and in predictable ways and I ended up skipping those parts. 4* for the plot but 3* for my pleasure reading.
Steele Nova: Cyborg Guardian is a fast-paced, emotional sci-fi romance that hooks you from the first mission. The danger of alien captivity blends perfectly with the intensity of fated mates, and Steele is everything you want in a cyborg hero—protective, fierce, and deeply devoted. Zaya’s journey from trauma to hope is handled with heart, and their chemistry is impossible to ignore. Action, romance, and just the right amount of suspense make this a gripping start to the Cyborg Guardians series. Highly recommended for sci-fi romance fans! 🚀💙
Steele Nova by Christine Myers features human woman Zara White and the cyborg Steele who saves her from an evil Masaarkan. She and Steele return to her ranch to restore it to rights and set up their home now that the two have bonded. But the Masaarkan threat continues, and both must prepare to repel the enemy so their family can survive and thrive.
This book was a nice cyborg romance. The characters were great. The storyline was good. Just fell into trying to fit to many trips in one book. The main cyborg was a motorcycle riding protector and ex military. Fighting against aliens and human profiteers in a dystopian earth.
I love this series. It hits all the feels without the female main characters being weak, stupid fools. I personally can't stand those sorts of characters. And the male main characters are alpha, strong in character and kind. Because that's what a woman really wants.
I enjoyed this book, and love the series. This storyline is well written and filled with action and adventure. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Another great Cyborg book. Steele Nova's match has been found by he feels he must earn her by helping make Earth safer. On a mission to stop human trafficking he ends up rescuing his mate. I love this whole Cyborg storyline and highly recommend you read all the books in the series and any spin-off.
Eigentlich ist Steele Nova ein schönes Buch. Die Storyline und die Protagonisten waren gut. Aber ich konnte keine emotionale Verbindung aufbauen. Daher leider nur 3 Sterne von mir.
