Welcome back to Christmas Key! A lot has changed in five the baby boom has resulted in a tiny class of kindergarteners on the island, and so-called "influencers" have discovered paradise, which they now want to share with their fans via podcasts, vlogs, and inspirational social media posts.
But the real story isn't just the holiday lights on Main Street, the icy cold margaritas at the Ho Ho Hideaway, or the new clothing and furniture store--it's former First Lady Ruby part-time Christmas Key resident, and full-time favorite of everyone on the island. Ruby and her husband, the political biographer Dexter North, have split their time between Shipwreck Key, NYC, and Christmas Key since they fell in love five years ago, but now they're hiding out on the tropical island, and hoping to lose the tail of a potentially dangerous stalker who won't leave Ruby alone.
As usual, the islanders band together to make magic happen, and they'll do anything they can to keep Ruby safe. But there are things that are out of their control, and sometimes all there is to do is to close ranks, work as a team, and do whatever they can to protect their own little slice of paradise.
Come visit Christmas Key again, and if you're a fan of the "Shipwreck Key" series, then you'll love seeing Dexter and Ruby, and getting a window to the early years of their long and happy marriage.
Stephanie Taylor writes a romantic comedy series about a fictional island called "Christmas Key," as well as several other standalone romance, YA, and middle grade titles.
What fun to reconnect with all the Christmas Key residents five years after the last visit! Throw in Ruby and Dexter plus a stalker, and you have the perfect reason to spend a snow day reading until the end. Family and friends are truly the treasures in our lives!
An enjoyable leap forward in time finds us again with the mixed group of characters from Christmas Key and Shipwreck Key, complete with adorable munchkins and beloved elders. Smack in the sandwich generation is Mayor Holly who narrates us through the adventure. Themes of found family and forgiveness exist alongside discussions of mental health and loss. All blended up with a dash of mystery. An enjoyable way to spend some time. I chuckled and shed tears, so the emotional gamut was covered.
As always Stephanie Taylor has managed to weave a story of family, friends, happiness, drama and life together giving the characters of both Christmas Key and Shipwreck Key life. This is another enjoyable read by Stephanie Taylor.
Oh how I love Christmas Key! How I wish I could buy myself a tiny home on the island and be besties with Holly and Bonnie! This book was another winner just like the rest of the series! Start from book #1 so you can get the whole exciting stories and meet all these wonderful characters
I love visiting Christmas Key! Makes it even better when characters from Shipwreck Key come to visit. Can’t wait for the next one! I’m so glad Stephanie Taylor continues to write from Christmas Key!!
