There were a couple of really nice poems in this one, but most of it felt a little flat. It was the better of the poems I had read that day though.

An easy read for people who want to get into poetry, is my best way to describe this one.

I didn’t think I would read any poetry while I’m in my crunch time to meet my Goodreads Reading Challenge Goal, but today I had a hankering and so when I was looking for comics without finding one that called to me right away, I decided to look for a poetry collection. I’ve never read Emily Bird before, but I liked the title and simple cover and just borrowed it on a whim. I don’t always want to read poetry about love which is ironic considering most of what I read is romance, but I’m a constant contradiction, so what can you do? Anyway, I was actually kind of excited to read this poetry collection all about love and I enjoyed myself. I think Ms. Bird captured love so well — she totally knocked it out of the park! This Made Me Think Of Us was soft and warm and beautiful and I’m glad I picked it up.

This was a beautiful collection of poetry about loving that one person so much, how even in the little moments you love them the way they are, what they do, coming home to each other with a hug, being the one constant and standing strong together to face the good and bad times together.

Some beautiful long poetry, sometimes set in short stanza's, but nonetheless, read like you could imagine just what it's like, relatable to your own relationship and life as the title perfectly says.

This wasn't really for me, not a bad author or poet but very....obvious poems? Generic I guess. Lots of potential though
