J. Marie Croft (Joanne) is a life-long resident of Nova Scotia, Canada, but spends a lot of time in Regency England with Jane Austen's beloved characters. She has written a dozen Austenesque stories: three novels, three novellas, and six short stories for anthologies. Joanne shares with her husband a love of their adult twin daughters, a spoiled calico cat, the great outdoors, geocaching, and British crime dramas.

Its a combination of two stories. the first story of whimsical Mr darcy is very good. the dialogues are witty and u root for Darcy that his second chance get success

The second one love at first slight is reimagination where the roles are reversed. Its Mr. Bennet with 5 boys to marry off and elizabeth is a Darcy. the problems i had with Elizabeth's character in the OG get more pronounced in this story where William bennet is considered. so i did not like this story much. even after ample evidence William keeps reverting back in his thoughts that she sees my family with derision. even when he is in love with her was such an irritation

This book has two stories, Whimsical in His Civilities and Love at First Slight.

Whimsical has Mr. Darcy returning to Meryton to take another shot at gaining Elizabeth Bennet's heart.

First Slight has the characters' roles reversed. Thus Mr. Bennet has five sons to marry off. William Bennet is the middle son. (The two youngest, Christopher and Lawrence, are the silliest boys in England.). Elizabeth Darcy slights William at the Assembly calling him only tolerable.

very unique

How delightful! So original with very witty dialogue. So much fun and hardly any drama from the villains thank goodness.
