Harley Graham really thought her life would be more stable at twenty-four. Instead, she’s without direction, sharing a run-down house with too many roommates, and close to giving up. Fortunately, her older brother isn’t going to let that He applies for a job on her behalf.
Assistant to a punk-rock musician isn’t exactly what she had in mind for a career, but anything is better than relying on her family for rent money. Managing Asa Miller’s fast-paced life gives Harley plenty of time to notice all the little things that make him special, the things that make him different, but dreams of a romance with her rockstar boss is the last thing she needs.
Somehow, she must get rid of these pesky feelings before they cost her everything.
I was privileged to be an ARC reader for Love Notes, and I couldn't read fast enough! I loved Asa and Harley's character development. Asa is the book boyfriend we all want. He is kind, caring, loyal, and outrageously handsome. His treatment of Harley when she was his employee revealed so much about his true character and the value he placed on her. Harley's self-doubt and fearing she wasn't worthy of Asa's love were also very relatable. I think many people struggle with feeling worthy of their partner's affection, and Harley is no different. I loved all of the banter between Asa and Harley - my husband and I like joking around and witty sarcasm like the main characters, so their conversations and interactions were relatable and fun. The book was fast-paced and a very cute romance story, and I can't wait till this book is out in the world! Definitely plan to read this book! You won't want to miss it!
Love Notes is a sweet, satisfying read! Harley Graham is a relatable FMC as a 24 year old trying to find her way in early adulthood, and the sense of drifting during that stage is something I think a lot of us can sympathize with. I found myself cheering her on, watching her burgeoning romance with her new punk rock star boss with bated breath, and wishing I had a big brother just like hers.
Finley K. James, as always, writes three-dimensional characters you can't help but hope will get everything they want in life, and it's that quality that sets her apart.
Overall, Love Notes is a book I would highly recommend for a light, touching read for lovers of contemporary romance.
At twenty-four, Harley Graham expected stability, not sharing a run-down house with too many roommates. Desperate for change, her brother applies for a job on her behalf—assistant to punk-rock star Asa Miller. Managing his chaotic life wasn’t part of her plan, and neither were the feelings she can’t afford to have. Can she set them aside before they ruin everything?
Harley is just trying to find her way in adulthood instead of accepting handouts. Asa is a big time musician (think Jonas Brothers vibes) ...I said what I said... A little spicy later on in the book but nothing too wild! Definitely a cute and easy read.
Time moves ahead quickly, with small snipits that don't seem significant? Just, going about life? It has its ups and downs, but mostly It's just a nice story with little angst.
The cutest little love story!! This book had me so giddy all the way through. The characters were adorable and their banter back and forth was absolutely fantastic and funny! No spice really at the beginning and just a little spice I would say about the last 10 %. But it was perfectly written and can I just say absolutely Adorable again!!!! I love this book! Def add it to your TBR you won't regret it!
I absolutely loved this story so much! The characters were so well developed and had such great relationships and chemistry that you are completely sucked in. There are also some great secondary characters that will have you giggling and smiling. This was also a story that didn’t have a crazy amount of drama and just gave you that happy feeling instead. I definitely look forward to reading more and will likely even read this a second time when I need a good pick me up book!
