I don’t know who needs to hear this, but being cheated on by the man you love cuts deep—it’s a hurt that lingers, a pain that leaves scars, and a betrayal that can break your spirit. Honey Jacobs knows that pain all too well. She poured her heart and soul into her career and family, using work as a shield to protect herself from the heartbreak that nearly destroyed her. After being abandoned and betrayed, she swore off men for good. Love was the last thing on her mind…until an unexpected twist changed everything.
Jew Carter, a successful and powerful businessman, was determined to leave his troubled past behind. His world revolved around going legit and taking care of those he cared for. But when his path crossed with Honey’s, the chemistry was undeniable. Honey wasn’t like anyone he’d ever met—she made him forget everything, including the people who were still depending on him and the loyalty he owed to others.
In this heartfelt second chance romance, Jew finds himself torn between doing what’s right and following his heart. He knows that being with Honey means risking everything he’s built. But after all she’s endured, Honey has one simple Don’t embarrass me. She’s taking a chance on love again, but she refuses to let anyone—especially Jew—hurt her like she’s been hurt before.
Will Jew be able to prove he’s worth the risk? Or will his dangerous past come back to haunt them both?
If you love African American romance, rich Alpha men with complicated lives, second chance love stories, and intense emotional drama, you won’t want to miss Just Don't Embarrass Me by Bonnie Blanco.
I blame Jew!! Don't get me wrong, I like Jew but the way he handled this situation was all the way fked up. He should have been honest with Honey from the start or at least when Kayleigh got released. He also should have been honest with Kayleigh especially when he knew he was in love with someone else. That still doesn't give Kayleigh the right to blame Honey when she is the only innocent person involved. I hope they make it out this situation and if they do I'm pretty sure Jew will never get another chance from Honey but you never know.💌💌
I feel like authors be forgetting that they have to make the MMC likeable. I got to the end and hoped he died because all this drama, riff raff and nonsense cus you a liar ? Like all he had to do was leave Honey alone. He chose not to and now she getting dragged into mess that wasn’t hers.
Honey gave dummy vibes from about chapter 3 and on, like after a man disappeared for weeks on end GET A NEW ONE. Like what would you even double back for? Next up the argument/ inclusion of Dallas was wack to me. As an author why are you waiting til the last 3 chapters or so to introduce another villain? Especially when you was very short and discreet on the initial discussion about him ? While this book was a page turner the characters and story lacked depth and intelligence throughout.
Honey and Jew are good together and never should've kept anything secret about their pasts. Understanding that something wrong was done to you shouldn't make you off limits for more blessings in life. With that being said, if someone covers for you and takes the fall, it doesn't mean your indebted for eternity. People change and life goes on but to go on as if nothing happened by playing with others feelings and not being straight up that's sure to bring more drama you don't need or want. People need to stop procrastinating get off the pot and be true in their actions. The spotlight always shine brighter when the dark goes away! Can't wait for next book in series to see the fallout!
Bonnnnniiiieeeee!!! Fav why you do me like this, you know you wrong for this cliffhanger, lol…It’s been a minute but I knew you were coming back strong and you did not disappoint!!! Baby this book is everything, it was a good thing I was off yesterday, cause I could not put it down!!! Tiara and Dallas was definitely not expected, but as I’ve learned with you, always expect the unexpected, lol…You def brought the 🔥 🔥🔥with this one, can’t wait til part two drops, please make it soon!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Queen you did that!!! This book is 🔥🔥🔥 and I already know the entire series will be!!!
I’m so over Dallas & Tiana. The information that dropped about them left me speechless! Then you got Kayleigh, now she has every right to feel how she feeling as Jew didn’t keep it 100% however blaming the next woman is what I don’t agree with!!
Now let talk about reading and the appearance of Tab, Remedy & Nevaeh!! Love it all!!!
Miss ma'am you never disappoint. This book was everything from beginning to end. At first Honey worked my nerves but as the book continued she had every right in the world to feel that way. I can't believe Jew he knew he was wrong. I can't stand Kayleigh from her coming into the story in the middle of the book. And Chief worked my nerves too acting like Jew couldn't move on from Kayleigh like he had no choice but to stay with her because of what she did but that was her choice. I'm hoping Honey and Jew make it out alright can't wait for part 2.
Honey has been through enough. Being cheated on was too much already and giving love another shot was risky.
Yet, when she meets Jew, she does just that. This book lived through its name because although Jew loved and cares for Honey, baby he did every thing to embarrass her.
This book had me hot as fish grease the entire read. Jew asked Honey for a lot. He did the most disrespectful things but couldn’t understand why she made him pay dust.
I just want to say that all of the male characters in this books need hands and feet. I felt so bad for the FMC because he made it clear that if you are not acting right leave her alone. Her sister got done dirty and I know she stole the money but to do her like that is crazy. I knew that what the MMC did to that woman fresh out of a bid would come back to hunt him. The ending of this book is CRAZY….
"Just Don't Embarrass Me" started off with me thinking that Jewelz Carter is a great guy and I hope Honey will give him a chance! Jewelz, Jewelz, Jewelz! You let me down in a major way and I have no sympathy for you! Honey told you exactly how NOT to handle her, but you are selfish, so now you get what you deserve!
BONNIE! Gurllllll! This book was tew much! The title is so fitting because EVERYBODY is getting embarrassed and exposed. The book started off a bit slow, but once it got going, it got going! And you know you dead wrong for the ending! I’m trying to pace myself, but book 2 will be done by tomorrow. I cannot wait to start it.
Jew knew he should've left Kayleigh alone when he realized he wanted to pursue Honey. Kayleigh was really there for him but he couldn't do the right thing and now he's in some mess!! I can't wait to see how that plays out and I hope Honey gets her happy ending with or without Jew because I don't see this going well for him thinking she'll stay!!
Bonnie Blanco. Oh my, these folks had some issues. Jew was in a place that he brought on because all he had to do was be truthful. I love Honey. She let her guard down and still ended up in a mess. Kaylie had rights but she made choices on her own that she could have made better choices that may have turned out better for her. I don't know how this is gonna turn out. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
This book was emotional jew should of kept it real with Kayleigh in the beginning. him going back and forth with honey and Kayleigh that was dogish.i understand why Kayleigh is mad. I can't wait to read the next book
This was good !! I could not put it down!! I hate the Jew wasn’t honest with Honey!! But I also think ole girl need to move on she had to know 8 yrs was a long time. Can’t wait for the next part
I can't wait to read the next book. I understand wanting to live for yours, but he did it all wrong. What he said he wouldn't do...he did it to 2 women. I feel for these ladies. 5 stars
Yes, loyalty is very important but being honest is even more important. It’s never good to tell a lie because they always get you caught up. Now Jew has put Honey in a bad situation. Let’s see what happens in part 2.
Good read with lots of drama. I really can’t understand why Jew is even dealing with Honey. I feel like everything good about him is out shadowed by his betrayal. Ugh I need her to meet someone else!
This story is pure greatness! It takes a little while to get into but once you’re into it!! It’s a wild ride and when I say literally everyone got embarrassed that’s exactly what I mean!
This started off real slow. Too slow for my liking. But once it picked up, it was great! I loved how a few things went over my head but then it all made sense at the end! Whew!
You brought this on yourself my boy. I feel like you reap what you sow. Honey should have stood on business. And Dallas.. please go to héll too 🤣 Glad they got to Deja because Cane was onnnnnn one.

It’s the delivery more than the story that I didn’t like. Maybe I wasn’t in the right mindset for this book, I didn’t connect with it and I don’t even care what happens next to any of the characters.
