I'm sorry, but this book was crap. Borris could have combined the first two books to make a great one, but she didn't. It was rushed and poorly written. The ending was so unsatisfying that I just wanted to delete the book right off my Kindle. Thank god I used Kindle Unlimited for this.

Haley really got on my nerves in this one. When Bentley mentioned that he was turning 30, it surprised me so much, I thought they were so much younger, they're so immature and wishy washy, Haley especially, I thought she made Bentley suffer for far too long and in the most childish ways.
This series just isn't doing it for me I think I'll stop at this one.
The dialogue also got on my nerves a bit, I don't understand why they say each others names so much, it's like, Bentley, I just don't know what to tell you Bentley, I think we should go home now Bentley, I'm not feeling too good Bentley and I'm feeling a little tired Bentley.... it's like WE KNOW you're talking to Bentley! Maybe it's just me, but when I'm talking to someone I don't have to say their name every 5 minutes.
Also, "we are not" instead of "we're not" or I can not instead of I can't. It sounds so proper and just.. I dunno, I think I'm being too nit-picky cuz I just really didn't like it, and that sucks because it seems like so many people did. Maybe it's just too young for me, it reads like a YA....
Glad they finally got their shit together in the end though.

This had a lot of editing/grammatical/writing errors that were really hard to look past. I have terrible grammar and I am terrible at editing so the fact that I found so many errors was worrisome to me. Also I just wasn't a fan of the story line in this one, these two books could have been one with a lot of the excess complaining and plot cut out and then made in to one pretty good book.
Here are some errors I found:
1. "an old wise tale" should be an "old wives' tale."
2. "I've finally excepted everything and decided to go with the flow." This should be "accepted" not "excepted."
3. "That is was" should be "That it was"

The book was fine and easy to get through

The continuation of Haley and Bentley’s story was great. The only thing that bothered me was that there were so many timeline mistakes that it got me sidetracked. However, would I recommend this series? 100% yes!

Catching Haley
By: Shawnte Borris
✩★✩★✩4-Sweet Stars✩★✩★✩

This is the part two of the series. It started where we left off from Falling For Bentley, when he left Haley right after they took the next step of their relationship.

 photo Haley_zps5949ec90.jpg

Bentley woke up from after having the most intimate night he ever had with Haley. It confused him, he never felt the connection he has with Haley. The feeling of being choked by someone, like you can't breathe and no matter how hard you try to resurface from drowning, you just can't. And the butterflies in your stomach won't stop with back flips. It's what Bentley felt and what caused him to panic. He panicked because he knew that Haley he's In love with her. BUT instead of holding on to her, he packed up and ran as far away from her.

Haley was falling for Bentley that's why she decided to give herself to him fully. No barriers just Bentley and her. But what she decided to give him, she regretted. Instead of holding on to her, he ran. I felt so bad for her, no one deserves to be left behind specially knowing for a fact that what you feel is real. How could you? I hated Bentley for breaking Haley's heart.

Bentley came back and did not bother looking her up. He felt like everyone was hiding something from him, no one bothered to tell him Haley's biggest secret and that it would make a huge impact to both of them.

Haley knew Bentley was back, but didn't want to give him the time of day. She's hurt by what he did to her. She doesn't know if she'll ever be able forgive him. But Bentley is so desperate for her forgiveness for breaking her heart. She's trying to get him involved in everything that has to do with the baby. Other than that, she wants nothing to do with him.

Will they both come to realize that they both deserve to be in each other's arms? Will they both overcome this hurdle they are in? What will Bentley do when he finds out what Haley's been keeping from him? Will he run again or will he stay and take responsibility? You'll have to read to find out if you want to read something that is sweet and of course you got to have to have the HEA, right? (winks)

Just like the first book Falling for Bentley, I was hooked as soon as I started the reading. Yes the 2nd book is not as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it.

In this sequel Haley and Bentley goes through emotions. First it’s Bentley figuring out what he really wants for his life and finding out why he did what he did with Haley. With the help of his friends and family, Bentley figured out what path to take and that path pointed him towards Haley. Haley, the woman he will do anything to get her back.

 photo CatchingHaley-Teaser1.jpg

After being apart for about 3 months, the first meeting was a little awkward for both. I did love how Bentley’s brother Travis stepped up into a protective brother mode with Haley.

As for Haley, no matter what Bentley did or offered, she didn’t give him much to work with. She couldn’t trust him, because of what he did. They went back and forth with what they are or what they shouldn’t be, no matter how much they really love each other. In the end they finally figured out what they wanted and they got their happy ending. Love that they deserved.

 photo CatchingHaley-Teaser2.jpg

I would just like to say that in the 2nd book, I fell in love with Travis. I love how much of a man he was, even more than his brother Bentley. He was super sweet to his girlfriend Whitney and would never in his life leave her or do anything without her. Unlike his brother Bentley, he knew what he wanted way in the beginning. He never doubted his love for Whitney. I hope Travis and Whitney get their own book, because I would love to read that.

This is book 2 in the Falling For Bentley series and a continuation of Bentley and Haley's story.
I found these books to be sweet little stories, a lot of romance and mushy, heart-melty moments but definitely not erotic. So if you're looking for hot sex scenes then look elsewhere, however if you're wanting a sweet, easy read then this would be a good pick.
I really liked Haley in the first book but she kind of annoyed me in this one. I get she had trust issues where Bentley was concerned but after a while she really started to annoy me, if I was Bentley I probably would have given up on her! That is ridiculously biased of me, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for a pretty face and Bentley would have had me back right away, I probably couldn't have held out long, he's too cute! But to be fair it did feel a bit dragged out, I was getting antsy for the HEA I need.
There are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors but as this is an Advanced Reader Copy I hope these will be fixed before release.
I liked the ending and the epilogue was lovely, however I felt the last portion of the book seemed rushed. The first three quarters flows very smoothly and then it seems for the last quarter it was a race to the finish line. There are a lot of time jumps, short chapters with gaps of weeks inbetween. Really it seems we jump back into the story only for big events like Christmas, New Year and graduation. I don't mind the odd time jump in a book but the ending of this book was made up of them and I felt because of this I lost my connection to the characters and by the end I felt rather 'meh' about the ending, whereas for the first half of the book I was really invested in the characters happiness.
Having said all that I did find these two books to be light, enjoyable reads, I just didn't connect emotionally with the characters as much as I usually do or as much as I wanted to.

After Haley finally let's Bentley in and she gave him her heart, he did the one
thing that she asked him not to do. He bailed and not just from being with her,
but from town. How could he do this? She knew he was confused but why wouldn't
he talk to her about it? Then she discovers the one thing that whether he's
there or not, she's determined to do. She finds out she's pregnant and has
decided to stay in town. Not that Bentley would know any of this, he hasn't
called.

Bentley knew he screwed up the minute he left. After some soul searching he
figures out he wants to stay in town with his family farm with Haley. After
getting back he discovers that she's pregnant and he wants to not only be there
for his child, but for her as well, but will she let him?

An opinion....

Ok this one I had a little harder time with. I will only give this one a 3.5
because frankly I wanted to slap the crap out of both of them. Bentley for
leaving and being stupid when he came back and Haley from being a drama queen.
There was one point in the book that Bentley got blamed for and it was
completely Haley's fault and it irritated the hell out of me. She picked the
child's names without at all consulting him about it and this was after they got
back together. I was just annoyed with her.

I wasn't expecting a huge followup to the first book, but both books could have
been made into one. I would love to see Haley's best friends story. She was fun.

WOW Bentley screwed up big time and now he is gone trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Back at home choices have been made and his family is going on with their life as is Haley. Choosing to move back home and take a job offer Haley continues on her wonderful relationship with Bentley's family in light of her new situation. Time slips by in this book and it is sad to go through the motions with Haley and even Bentley. I wanted to knock sense into him but at the same time had he known what we know he would have made choices faster , then again would they have been his choices or choices made out of obligation ?? Haley changed a bit in this book and part of me wanted to hate her but again I understand her situation. When Bentley does come home he still stays away from her , once he finds out her secret he is all in and man does she make him work for it. She could have gone easier on him , heck I would have I mean he was swoonworthy and all !! But in the end all their hard work and struggle pays off and happiness is awarded all around !! I loved this group of people , the family and friend dynamic was beautiful !! It was an emotional read and it was done so beautifully that you could feel it all !!
Again loving the dual POV , especially with them being separated for some time it really gets you in their heads understanding where they both are coming from makes it easier to not hate on their ridiculous actions !!!!! And their chemistry was super hot , that couch scene , WOW !!

Personal Response:
I really liked this book because of how it started right back from where it left off in book one. I loved how Haley was strong enough to go through everything by herself and make a new life for herself. I think it shows how when something bad or depressing happens you just gotta pick yourself up and move on from it.
Summary:
Bentley left to go play football for his dream college. He wanted to experience something other than just the family farm. What he didn't realize was that he was now leaving the only girl he ever loved behind with his baby. Bentley comes back a few months later realizing he missed the farm, and being the football coach. What he didn't realize was that Haley stayed in town she didn't move back to her old place. She got a new job hers as a teacher and high school track coach. When Bentley comes to a football practice it just so happens that Haley was working with the boys as they all were in tack to. Haley was wearing a tight tank top because of how hot it was that day and her little bump shown. It all went downhill from there with Bentley finding out. Bentley wanted to be apart of her life but Haley wouldn't let them with the fear of getting her heart broke again. In the end after hard work he starts earning her trust again.
Recommendation:
I recommend this book to anyone who likes a book filled with drama. I think this book is more likely to be read by girls. I give this book a four out of five stars because the story line can sometimes go on without something new happening.

A review copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Both Haley and Bentley seem to have moved on to their separate lives. Bentley left for Austin, Texas in search of answers. Did he make the right choice in leaving football for a life in the ranch? Is he or would he ever be able to be enough for Haley? Haley found a job and stayed.

Bentley is back and coaching football, determined to get his life back in order when he finds out the secret that his family and Haley are keeping from him.

While Bentley tries to prove to Haley that he can be the person she needs for her their child and for her - Haley is keeping Bentley at arms length - her fear of having her heart being broken all over again keeps her from showing her true feelings for Bentley. Will their love prevail? Will Bentley finally admit that he is enough of man and father for Haley? Will Haley ever drop her guard and give herself back to Bentley.

This is a great story of forgiveness and acceptance. A story of past and present meeting and love being rekindled and brought to the forefront.

Catching Haley is the second installment in the Falling for Bentley series by Shawnte Borris. I would recommend you reading Falling for Bentley before catching Haley. We recommend you read this story about Bentley and Haley because they will warm your heart. The chapters will switch between Bentley and Haley’s POV. I definitely wasn't disappointed with this book by any means. Bentley and Haley both now are living separate lives. Bentley wonders if leaving football was the right thing to do? He goes back to coaching football, not realizing that his whole family and Haley is keeping a secret from him. He finds out on accident and is shocked at what he hears. Bentley promises Haley that he can be the man she needs and the father their baby needs, but Haley wonders is he being sincere. Haley definitely has her guard up, but who can blame her. Will Haley be able to forgive Bentley again? Will true love be enough to survive? Will they be able to move on and be the family they have always wanted to be? Read it and find out!!

ARC for Review

Bentley has return not knowing that he had left Haley pregnant. He feels left out since he is the last one to know since his family already knows about the pregnancy and they failed to mention it to him. He tries to apologize to Haley but she does not want anything to do with him but promises he’ll have some say with the baby.

Haley has abandonment issues stemming from her childhood. Her mom leaving her dad and then her dad leaves her with his parents while he goes off and travels. So when Bentley disappeared for over a month she felt like he also abandon her after he left right afterwards.

It is up to Bentley to slowly win her trust back as they spend more time together. Can he knock back the walls that Haley has build and regain her trust? Will these two get their chance at happy ever after or will issues of the past haunt them?

Love is always worth fighting for.

☆☆☆ 3-3.5 ☆☆☆

Catching Haley was a quick sweet read. This book picks off where it last left off in Falling For Bentley. There is not much to say about the book but it is definitely a book that moves at a fast pace and with a sweet HEA. I really liked Haley's character in this first book but in this one, I felt she was missing that sass that I enjoyed in the first book. Also, I felt this storyline was a bit rushed towards the end. But overall I really enjoyed this book as Bentley and Haley tries to navigate their relationship and the unexpected newest addition. The secondary characters of the book really completed this book. I love Travis and Whitney!! So if you are look for a light, carefree and heartfelt book, then go give this book a try!

Catching Haley starts were Falling for Bentley left off. We get Bentleys point of view of what happens the night he panics and leaves Haley. He soon realizes what a terrible mistake he's made and decides to return home especially after his father makes a call to him letting him know he needs to come home. Once he goes home Bentley seems to make one mistake after another when it comes to Haley.

Haley is afraid to let Bentley back in, what if he decides responsibility of a baby is to much and just leaves again. He really has to fight to try and win her back.

This book is a sweet love story about Haley and Bentley with amazing characters that you can't help but fall in love with. It's full of humor, you'll find yourself laughing even in the middle of all the drama.

I was given this for an honest review. I was so excited to get to read the rest of Bentley and Haley story. I'm going to leave any spoilers in this review. I did enjoy how both characters did a lot of growing up and figuring out what they wanted in life. Haley has kept a secret from Bentley but she thinks it ok since he bailed on her. Well, he comes back and finds out her secret. He wants to prove to her that he is deeply in love with her and wants to be with her. She still has her walls up and wonders if he serious or if he is just going to leave once things get tough. He sticks by her, proving to her that he is willing to be with her.
There are some tough decisions being made in this book but it was a really good ending to Bentley and Haley's story

Ok...so this book..I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. I want so bad to give it 5 stars. Maybe I will. The story, the characters, the banter. It's GREAT. I feel like the ending was a little abrupt & there were a lot of editing & grammatical errors. I usually hate those but I loved the rest so much that they took a back seat.

Bentley gets 1,000,000,000 big fat stars!!
The story gets at least 5.
The banter 5.
The way everything came together between the 2 books, totally 5.
The ending...3 stars.
The grammatical/editing job 1 star.

That being said damn I LOVED these books. I miss Bentley already. He's a knucklehead but I want more!! :)

After Haley finally lets Bentley in her does the one thing that she asked him not to do! He has to much pressure from all angles and he doesn't know what to do- He is falling in love with Haley and his parents don't want to run their ranch anymore and want Bentley to make a decision about the ranch so Bentley ends up leaving Haley and town. After Bentley had been gone for a while with no word from him Haley finds out one thing that she didn't think would happen to her and is determined to have this baby on her own. Will Bentley come back to town and face everything that got him so scared to leave in the first place or will he stay away and never learn about his baby????

I have issues with this book and it is not the story line! The story line between all of the characters is actually really cute. My issues are with the grammar and not remembering your own characters names. Mandie, Whitney's slut cousin turned into Amanda, Bentley was referred to as Travis at one point and Ben Haley's dad was called Sam. There were also times when words were out of order, repeated or just plain missing. If the author would have taken the time to have someone proof read this it would have been a 5 star book to me, but the names and grammar errors were too big of an issue to over look!

This was a great, heart warming story about letting go of the past and letting love in. I love Bentley and his willingness to be part of the baby even though Hailey is so hard headed. Hailey tended to get on my nerves though. it's obvious Bentley and his family want nothing more than help Hailey any way they can. Yet, she keeps putting everybody at arms length. If I was Bentley, I wouldn't have given her that much time. You can only say I'm sorry so many times. Overall, it was a good story, not my typical read. No major surprises or crazy sex stories.

I was given this book for an honest review. This is the second book picking up right where Falling for Bentley ended. This is a very sweet book. Fast paced with a nice HEA at the end.
Haley is pregnant and Bentley doesn't know what to do. He is having a hard time deciding if he is making the right choices. Where Haley is faced with impending motherhood.
This is was a sweet book of finding the right path and sticking with it. It is a fast quick read that will answer all your questions and make you smile. An enjoyable read

**ARC Review**

I enjoyed this follow-up book. I was a bit disappointed in the editing errors - name misspellings (Jerad became Jared in this book) and mix-ups (at least one instance where Bentley is referred to as Travis) among punctuation and grammar/verb tense errors. That's why my rating was 4 stars rather than higher. As far as the story goes, I thought the author did a great job displaying the fight both characters had with their insecurities and their journeys to overcome them. It was definitely a good read.

Received a complimentary copy for an honest review. Wow, I didn't like Bentley too much in the beginning of this one. I felt so bad for Haley throughout this book. Loved how Bentley's family stepped up even with him out of the picture. That's true family devotion. Can't say too much about this one without giving away the story, but just stick with it to the end. Got a nice surprise for Haley in there too.

Make sure you read Falling for Bentley before you read this book.

This is a really lovely heart warming story. It's a great continuation of book one which I enjoyed.

When Bentley returns home he finds out Haleys secret and his life changes. I love how he was so patient with Haley. I however would have lost patience long ago!!

If your looking for a really good story without all the angst then I do recommend this story.

I absolutely loved it! I laughed through so many parts and wanted to cry in others. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. The relationship between Haley and Bentley is so believable as are all of the emotions that they both go through. I love all the additional characters and I imagine that's what growing up in a small town is like. I can't wait for the third book and we see what's in store for Haley and Bentley!!
