I'm a 28 year old Publishing Graduate with a penchant for hot books, cowboys, and off-the-chart-chemistry between the characters I write. In April 2019, I graduated with my Publishing degree, and took a brief writing hiatus to complete my studies. Right now, I'm busy with an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, and have recently published my newest book, Under The Sake Sky (Horseshoe Bay Series Book 1). I'm still addicted to coffee, reading, and when I'm not writing, or designing all kinds of things in Photoshop, I'm editing romance novels for my clients. In my free time, I can usually be found in bed with my three fur babies, BamBam, Benji and Denver.
This just sucked. Hero walks away and comes back a year later with his girlfriend to a wedding where the heroine is going to be. He was such a douche. He said she was just a fu@& buddy but had been with her for six months, gave her a key to his apartment, had dinners with her family and he was taking her to a family wedding. I honestly felt sorry for her until the author turned her into an evil conniving hitch but come on. After six months is sleeping with her I am sure She had expectations. The whole book sucked. The author did make you feel the pain so I may read her again as long as there is no cheating. And yes I know it wasn't cheating because he walked away and left her but supposedly he was still in love with h. And of course he had lots of sex while she had none and lost a baby. She went to tell him and he already was with the other woman and she saw them so she left. Just a total nightmare. I cried a lot. It was horrid. But like I said, writing was good, plot sucked. Can someone write about heroes who can keep it in their pants!!???
This story was such a disappointment to me. I cannot stand Brody, he is a self pitying, whining, womanising sleazebag who dumps his girlfriend & takes up with another female for months & brings this same female he's screwing around with to his best friend's wedding (whilst moaning about will the heroine ever fight for him?) is he kidding? Selfish jerk. Why don't you dump your bedmate first sleazabag. Arggh, cannot tolerate him, he in no way fights for the heroine AT ALL which really irritates the hell out of me. The fact that SHE just accepts him back is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
He deserves to feel guilty & unworthy of Demi, Demi should have taken up with Ian, to teach Brody a lesson he definitely needed to learn!!
Omigod can't wait and I have to admit this I want a book on Demi's ex he was a good guy but she hurt him bad she cheated on him and she forgives him an he forgives her then he goes away I want to no more about him don't u ?
Ever since I heard that Demi and Brody would be having their story told, I proceeded to jump around like a lunatic and facebook stalk Tamsyn Bester (guilty as charged). It can sometimes be difficult to pull off making a sequel as great as the first book, but Tamsyn Bester nailed it! From the word go ‘Begin Again’ just drew me in and had me so enraptured and invested in the storyline and characters that I would scream at people if they disturbed me during my reading time. My heart pounded as the story went on, and I wanted more than anything for Demi and Brody to get their happily ever after.
The emotion with which Tamsyn Bester wrote Demi and Brody’s story just seeped off the page, I could feel the passion, love and devotion that went into these characters, making them seem very real to me as a reader. She very cleverly switched from past to present, breaking my heart with every little snippet of the past that had lead to Demi and Brody’s present separation.
I loved the psychological aspects that were entwined so neatly throughout this book. Demi’s gradual development in accepting and moving on from the past, really nicely contrasted with Brody’s descent into confusion and devastation as he finds out about what has been kept from him, and how he hadn’t been there for Demi through her ordeal. I loved how Demi and Brody really had to work through their past and the pain that they had put each other through before they could even begin to think about starting over. The slow development of their forgiveness made it so beautiful and heartfelt to read, and made me really see the strength of their feelings for each other that they were desperate enough to save each other from more pain.
What really made this story even more amazing was the great insight we had into Huntley and Grayson’s relationship in the future. Huntley is such a loving and kind-hearted person and I just admire her strength so much. I loved seeing the brilliant mother she was to Hunter, and seeing how well her and Grayson had adapted to parenthood. To see what happened after their happily ever after in ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ was just such a gift, and had me grinning from ear to ear, and desperately wishing for my own happily ever after.
‘Begin Again’ was just a wonderful, heartfelt and beautifully written story. Tamsyn Bester is definitely an author to watch as everything she writes is just so heartfelt, pure and amazing.
5+ stars!

Huntley I miss ya girl, "because I want to be pi**ed at you, Brody," she huffed. "It's been a year and you're only now asking how Demi is doing. To top it off, you decided to bring your eff buddy with you to our wedding. What is the matter with you? Don't you care about Demi at all anymore? It's bad enough she has to see you this week and now she'll have to deal with seeing you with someone else." Brody that boy is a force to be reckoned with, "I turned to leave but Brody's hand wrapped around my upper arm and he pulled me into his chest. My body's reaction was immediate, like it was natural instinct to be that close to him. "I don't give a eff about her, Demetria. This conversation is far from over." A drunk Demi isn't a pleasant one, "she laughed, but the sound was empty and cruel. "You already did that once tonight, what makes you think I'll let you eff me like a wh*** again?" When they're in-sync thought they're really cute, "I pushed my hands through his hair and cradled his head. "It's not my fault you tired me out," I sighed lazily. "I'm worried you might've broken me." I'm hoping our boy Jeff is up next.
I could not put this book down once I started it. I finished it in one day. This book is written is dual POV which I always enjoy. There were some super emotional scenes and I definitely needed some tissues. The characters really pull you in and they both have their own flaws that need to be worked through. Huntley and Grayson from “Beneath Your Beautiful- Book 1” are back as well and appear throughout the book. *** A complimentary copy was provided by the author for an honest review***
Loved this book! I loved Demi and Brody in Beneath Your Beautiful and I've been wanting to read their story for a while now and i finally got around to reading it. I wish that their relationship developed a little faster instead of them finally getting back together towards the very ending, but i still loved this book. Now i cant wait to read Jeff's story! :)
I thoroughly enjoyed Beneath Your Beautiful and fell in love with Huntley and Grayson! Soooo....I have been waiting on pins and needles for Begin Again to come out so I could see what happened with Demi and Brody! I knew it would be good as I really enjoy all of Tamsyn's books, but I had NO idea that I would love it even MORE than BYB and that Tamsyn was going to rip my heart out, stomp on it, rub it in the dirt and put it back in my chest :(
This book was so incredibly moving and heartwrenching to read. There were times that my heart literally "ached" for poor Demi and everything she had to go through. And Brody...I was constantly torn between loving and hating him for what he was putting Demi through. There were many times I wanted to grab him by the balls and give them a good twist because I was that angry and frustrated with him! I found myself so immersed in their story that I truly felt every emotion they were feeling. This is definitely the sign of a great writer!
Please note that it is not all tears and angst...there is plenty of steam and good stuff in there as well. We also get the added bonus of catching up with Huntley and Grayson and seeing where they are at, which I loved.
I cannot recommend this book enough! It is a great read with lots of feeling. I promise you won't be disappointed and will fall in love with these characters just like I did :) Amazing 5 star read!!
I loved Beneath Your Beautiful which was Huntley and Grayson's story and in that book you were introduced with their best friends Demetria Rosemead and Brody Scott.
Begin Again is a second chance romance in a multiple POV story of all 4 characters from the first book so even though it is a standalone, I recommend to read the first book to understand the background of the characters.
This story has a hard subject matter and very emotional. It hit home too close for me as well since I went through early stages of the same matter myself. I was rooting for Brody and Demi to get back together. They were soul mates and some times it takes growing apart to realizing they cannot live without the other.
"We were bound together for life and I realized that I wouldn't have done anything differently. All the bad stuff, all the heartache had led us right back to where we were meant to be. And all because we decided to begin again...." come
🇺🇸 This book is about Demi and Brody. It was hard for me to connect with the story because I didn’t feel the split at all. Then, tragedy strikes and I started to feel something but then so many misunderstandings made it very “soap opera”. I started to eye roll at some point.
Brody and her relationship with Sienna were another thing that it was never clear. His reasons were… unreal. He set limits for her with some things but with the most obvious ones he did nothing so… no. Really didn’t feel it.
If some of my very good friends pulled this much drama during my wedding, someone would have had to post my bail. The H made a very stupid decision to move to Chicago-like tomorrow! and wanted the h to go with him. Right. No way did he really expect her to leave her job, family and friends...with 1 day notice...to accompany H especially since he had not even talked to her about his decision.
She stays, he leaves. She is pregnant and looses the baby at 5 months. A period of depression follows. One year later, their BF's are getting married and the H brings his plastic Barbie to the wedding. Once they meet, everything is drama and more drama amid all of the activities for the wedding. The h even slaps the plastic bimbo for attempting to steal the spotlight from the bride but she is doing the same thing except with drama and angst.
It does seem like they finally grow up and earn their HEA but these friends just might be high maintenance.
The editing in this book is beyond horrendous. There are spelling, grammatical and continuity errors on almost every page. The fact that the author touts herself as an “editor” in her bio is laughable. The story itself is poorly plotted. The characters are weak and childish, the dialogue uninspired and infantile. Add in a remarkably unlikeable hero and heroine and this book becomes a complete waste of time.
Glad I went back and read Brody and Demi's story and we got to read more for Hadley and Grayson. I have to say the ending felt rushed. A half a chapter and all is forgiven. Felt that could of been explored more and would of made a better ending.
This is book 2 in the Beautiful series and I have to say I am very disappointed. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of book one I actually really liked Brody and Demi as the side characters. However, in this book they don't act like the characters we got to know anymore. Everything they do is so out of character. The whole book is just misunderstandings and one blaming the other for things they messed up themselves. I started disliking both of them. Not a fan but 2 stars since the writing was alright.
So I actually don’t have a lot to say about this at all.
I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. I thought it was very easy read. I was able to guess what would happen through the book, there was no shocking twists at all which deflated me a bit.
Good story. Interesting characters. I didnt like how the heroine didnt see that OM was falling in love with her. That is just plain stupid. I felt so bad for him.
I am totally in love with Tamsyn Bester right now. I think I have find myself my new favorite author. This book was beyond amazing! Brody Scott made a decision that would effect the rest of his life. He wanted out of small town life and move to Chicago. He left everything behind, including his girlfriend. Demi made the biggest sacrifice of all by letting Brody move away and start the life he always wanted. She never told him she was pregnant. Or never let him know what happened next. Brody is back in town for his best friend's wedding. Demi and Brody have not seen each other in over a year. The emotions that run in the book were off the charts. I found myself crying in every single chapter. Demi thought she was going what was best for Brody. When she sees him again, she it is a nightmare. She has known she has never stopped loving him. No matter how hard she has tried, she can not move on. Brody, on the other hand has moved on. He has even brought his new "girlfriend" to the wedding with him to make things easier on him when he has to see Demi. Brody realizes that even though he got what he wanted, it did not make him happy. Maybe he was better off staying in Chicago. I absolutely loved this book. It was an unbelievable journey through a relationship that should have never ended. There were high and lows and I loved every second of it.
Tamsyn Bester..... you have made your self a new fan!!!
Between my heart breaking and the ouzel of charm from Brody, Begin Again by Tamsyn Bester was an exquisite read. I’ll put it out there I started this book at 7am and finished it at 9:20am. I did not for one second take a break or look up. It was astonishing and heartfelt beyond the words on the page. Tamsyn had me hooked at Beneath Your Beautiful and it was one of the first books I read as a reviewer, so Dem and Brody’s story got me up doing jazz hands when it arrived on my pretty little ipad.
It was an emotional roller-coaster. I’ll give it to your straight; Dem and Brody’s relationship developed, stretched, broke and flourished in so many different aspects that made reading a pure delight. I don’t like spoiling books, it’s not what I do, but let me tell you the issues the novel addresses are heartfelt and honest. It pulls and tugs on your heart in many shapes and forms. It was an extraordinary powerful read that can be felt beyond words. I felt like I experienced not only the character’s hearts but also Tamsyn’s heart. Her pure love for writing and the creation of Dem and Brody’s story was nothing short of beautiful and magic on my page. I rated it a 5 Lit Love, because it shot an arrow in my heart with emotion and raw passion.
First I have to say that Tamsyn Bester is one of my absolute favorite authors. She is what I call a “go to easy read”. This is not to say that her books are easy or juvenile. It just means that I know when I start one of her books I will be sucked in from the very beginning and be totally vested in the fabulous characters she develops. I have been patiently waiting for Brody and Demi’s story since meeting them in Beneath Your Beautiful. While you do not have to read Beneath Your Beautiful to enjoy this book, I highly suggest you do. I love following characters from the very beginning and building a connection with them early on. Demi and Brody’s story did not disappoint and I think this has been the most emotional book Tamsyn has written so far. I was immediately sucked in and could not put the book down. The emotions you will feel while reading this is like a roller coaster. One minute I was laughing out loud and the next I was crying a river. I felt so much for Brody and Demi and battled with them every step of the way. I cant wait to see what Tamsyn has in store for us next with this series. 4.5 ***** ♥ Sophie
I seriously stayed up all night reading this book. It was so freaking amazing. I am such a sucker for second chance stories and Begin Again certainly did not disappoint. A year has come and gone since the ever so charming swoon worthy Brody has left his hometown. He left for a better life, to pursue what he thought was his dream. He left it all behind, including the love of his life Demi.
With Demi and Brody's best friends getting married to one another Brody come back into town to celebrate. Considering these two are soulmates there is a ton of drama than unfolds. Lastly Demi's secret is revealed to Brody. Can these two push past this and move forward together or apart?
This book was so good! It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I love our heroine, she tries so hard to be tough but she is human and does have weakness and it shows. I love the relationship and bond Demi has with Grayson and Huntley. Brody seriously gave me butterflies! I did not read the first book of this series but I am very interested in reading it. This book is amazing!
*** I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Demi and Brody fought through so much to make it together in Beneath Your Beautiful just to have their lives fall apart in Begin Again. Demi has always known Brody was the one for her, even when everything was fighting against her she knew Brody was it for her. Demi is such a strong character. She faces some extremely hard obstacles in this book, but fights for herself. Brody is also faced with his own obstacles in this book. He fights with what he thinks he wants versus what he really wants, and it costs him greatly. Overall I really do love this series. It is just a beautiful story of hope and second chances. My review is short and very desecrate, because I want everyone to truly enjoy these books without giving any thing away. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a beautiful love story with the guy next door!
Another beautiful amazing read!!!! So much emotion, so much passion, so much heartache, so many feelings....I could go on and on but overall this is just such a wonderful well written book. I could not put it down even when tears were running down my face. Well developed chatacters that are growing as you read.....plus all your favorites from the first book plus new wonderful characters. You just know that Demi and Brody belong together so this just sucks that this book has them apart. So heartbreaking feeling Demi's pain and realizing how bad she ended up.....but she is strong and it lifts your heart as she fights her way back to happiness. If Brody hadn't been such a sweetie the first time around you almost feel he deserves some pain for leaving her behind. He so messed up!! There is so much going on with all their lives....so it was great to get an update on Gray, Huntley, Jeff, and Hunter. Just such a emotional read......loved it!!!!
First thing first... Reading the first book in this series is a must. There's a lot of background in the first book that is needed to understand everything that happens in Begin Again.
I honestly enjoyed Beneath Your Beautiful more than I did this one. Couples that have problems that stem from lack of communication frustrate me. Miscommunication was definitely not the only issue here. But a few simple conversations could have saved some heartache. Brody and Demi got their HEA, but it wasn't easy or pretty.
I really enjoyed that we still got to see a lot if Huntley and Grayson. There were even a few chapters written from their POVs. That was a pleasant surprise. Overall, this one just didn't do it for me like Beneath Your Beautiful did.
Great story. I loved the characters of Demi and Brody in Beneath Your Beautiful and was anxiously awaiting their story in Begin Again. It was well worth the wait. After a tragic start, I found myself hoping for these two to find their way back to each other. I was so happy to see Grayson and Huntley appear in this story and interact with Demi and Brody. They played an integral role in this book. Tamsyn Bester writes great stories that flow and keep the reader engaged. Awesome book and highly recommended.
Oh god this book took me on an emotional roller coaster. I don't think any other book has ever toyed with my emotions this much. This book is stunningly written, and the words flow. I think that's why I loved it. It wasn't a perfect book, sentence structure doesn't matter and no emotion was cut short. It all pieced together, like gliding a pen across paper. This book left me laughing, crying and gave me a shit-eating grin the whole ride through. The characters breathe life. The passion is evident between Brody and Demi and its irrevocable and untouchable.
