My goodness ...
I definitely need more bear shifters on my bookshelves. I'm looking forward to reading more of the other bearish alphas that were featured in this.
Phew, otherwise typical of the author and omegaverse, lots of heat and lots of sex.
Um, if you don't like fisting, you shouldn't read this book, I liked it and I still found it quite intense ...
Was it naive of me to think that there would be more plot? I'm a little unsure. I give it 5 stars because I just can't help it, but I would have liked a little more romance or a little more time for emotions and would have gladly done without two or three sex scenes. But that's just my humble preference, it's still a wonderful book. After all, you know what you're going to get when you read omegaverse by this author.
Anyway, I'm now curious to see more and hope it won't be too long before the next bear gets his story.
For this one, the two of them are super cute. I love the grumpy bear as well as the adorable and slightly anxious little human.

Fearless Bond is book one in the brand new series, Bears of Beauville by Roe Horvat. I first was drawn to this book because of the cover. I could stare at it all day. And have I ever mentioned that I ADORE omegaverse? This one also includes a grumpy bear shifter! Needless to say, I was a goner. I devoured this book and am now waiting impatiently for news on the next book in the series.
Lets start with Calvin. He is twenty one years old, recently graduated from college, and suffers from extreme anxiety. Calvin was raised by a wealthy and very controlling father. Then at his father’s encouragement, went into a relationship with a man who was the same. He constantly put Calvin down, making him feel small and worthless. The night Calvin told him he wanted to break up, they were driving along a deserted mountain road and his ex stopped the car and made him get out. Now Calvin is walking through the forest, trying to find the nearest town in a snow storm, not dressed for the weather.
Barclay Black is a forty six year old bear shifter. He has lived in his cabin near Beauville for ten years by himself. He’s grumpy and a loner. He’s a huge man and a huge bear when he’s shifted. He couldn’t believe it when he saw the tiny omega lost in the forest, nearly freezing to death. If he hadn’t found him, he wouldn’t have survived. Once he’s back at his cabin with him, he can’t help but to notice the young man’s enticing smell. He can’t get enough of it.
A bear shifter can search his entire life for his fated mate and it seems that Barclay has found his practically in his own back yard. Once he realizes who Calvin is to him, everything changes. I loved this so much. I just adore that instant, strong connection. And I love that the alpha will do anything at all to protect and love his omega. I also loved all of the secondary characters and am so excited to see where the series goes next.

Calvin and Barclay were both adorable and hot together. I loved their meet cute and how quickly they became codependent on each other.
As usual with Roe Horvat books, the hurt/comfort aspects were the forefront of the plot and done really well. And I love every single possessive Alpha we meet.
Crossing my fingers so hard for a Laure and Monty book. But I’m really just so excited to read the rest of this series.

If Roe writes it I’m reading it. Period.
I love that Roe is venturing farther into shifter omegaverse, it’s one of my favorites and Roe in my opinion sets the bar for omegaverse writing.
Barclay and Calvin are adorably perfect. Calvin has been treated like crap by his ex alpha and Barclay wants to take care of him after finding him, even before realizing they are mates.
There are plenty of side characters ready and waiting for their own stories and I’m hoping that’s exactly what we get!

Sweet and sexy story about grumpy bear shifter and anxious omega who meet, have sex, discover they are fated mates, say "I love you" after a couple of days and live happily ever after.
Sex was great, but I didn't feel the love developing between the two. It felt like "being fated mates" replaced "gradually falling in love through intimacy" that I love so much in other Roe Horvat books. The book was enjoyable but not special.
And still, there is a group of hot bear shifters in town, and I will definitely read their stories :)

Roe Horvat always gives us stories that are romantic, erotic and emotional and sweet and this one was no exception. I could not put this book down. And I was smiling throughout reading it. While it isnt angsty it full of all these lovely feelings that characters are navigating while growing together towards their HEA. I always love Roe’s take on the omegaverse and mpreg and I love going back to the world that’s created and I enjoyed getting to see the nuances of this world with bear shifters and their adored fated mates.
I loved Calvin and Barclay, so perfect for each other. I loved how Barclay supported Calvin, and the swoon … good lord there is a lot to swoon over in this story and the spice so so very very HOT! I loved the anxiety rep and I loved how everything concluded for this couple.

Fearless Bond is the first book in Roe Horvat’s new Bears of Beauville series and it has all the hallmarks of the author’s omegaverse stories, including lots (and lots) of detailed sex scenes. The story has generally three main parts. The early parts of the book focus on Calvin wandering through the snow, getting rescued by Barclay, and the initial settling in while he sorts out his next steps. It gives us a chance to get to know both men, particularly Calvin’s background with his anxiety and his controlling father and ex-boyfriend.
I like how Horvat adds the bear shifter aspect to the omegaverse world, as typically this genre leans toward shifting or non-shifting wolves. I also liked the little wink to the idea that these Beauville guys are both literal bears and stereotypical “bears” in build. We do see Barclay shift, but there isn’t a lot of developed world building on the shifter end. The focus is much more on the omegaverse side of things.

This was really straight to the point. No beating around the bush, and dragged for too long.
I enjoyed Calvin and Barclay. They were really adorable together. I loved the instant connection between them even though Calvin had every reason to fear Barclay but something about Barclay’s presence brought him peace.
It was satisfying to see Calvin stand up to his father. This mild hurt comfort in this was really well done. So if you’re looking for a fast pace, high heat Omegaverse romance, this is definitely right up your alley.
I don’t think I’ve actually read a Bear shifter MM book and Roe Horvat didn’t disappoint with this.

I usually love this author's books but I didn't connect much with the characters in this one and the "ripening" talk was a bit much even for me 😅
It was still an ok fluffy read but I struggled to get through a couple of passages.

When Roe releases a new book, I pretty much stop whatever I'm reading and start his book lol
This is Roe's take on bear shifter omega verse, and - c'mon it's Roe - it's a 5 star read for me! It's steamy, quick and intense in the feels, spicy, sweet, and did I mention steamy?? LOL because it sure is! Roe always has such a gift with pivoting from the explicit and erotic to the sweet and tender moments with such ease, it's the thing I love most about his writing.
Heads up for fated mates and mpreg as major plot points here. But it worked for me being that one MC is a shifter, to help explain the quick bond.
I loved grumpy Barclay, and I loved his instant attraction to Calvin. These two were just everything!
Now I need Calvin's friend, Laure, to get a story! I love how the other alpha bears were so enamored with him lol
