I picked up Mio because the concept sounded wild — a woman running a secret club for scorned wives while hiding from her past? Yes, please. Layla is a total boss, and I loved her icy confidence and mysterious vibe. But the story took a while to get going, and I found myself wanting more emotional depth and urgency.

The romance with Declan had potential, but it never fully ignited for me. Still, the atmosphere was slick and stylish, and I’d definitely read more from The Accountant. Just wish this one had leaned harder into the drama and danger.

Don't judge a book by it's cover

This book was so good! I would have nevermind guessed the romance, but spice, intrigue, and twists this book had by the cover. I highly recommend it if you're looking for that bad girl and good boy with a semi bad side but both have a kink for the wild side! I would totally read more from this author.
