Activities of the Carnal Manor
Weeks after the breakup of her six-year relationship, Callie and her friends are heading to a free, all-inclusive retreat planned six months ago. Unfortunately for her, her ex-boyfriend, Spencer, shows up after having promised to stay home, as he was the one who cheated on her.
The stone exterior, sophisticated decorative details, and beautiful landscaping seem at odds with the debauchery to take place under Carnal Manor’s roof for the week.
In between taking classes and workshops on sex and sex-adjacent subjects, Callie struggles to avoid her persistent ex-boyfriend. Luckily, Spencer’s friend and coworker, Hawk, is all too willing to keep her mind off things.
Despite enjoying her time with Hawk, Callie can’t ignore the feeling that something is very wrong at this sex retreat. At first, it’s only stuff she personally notices. Chunks of missing time, an exhaustion she just can’t seem to shake, and the addictive nature of those around her put her on edge. But when people start to go missing, including those in her own party, she begins to worry.
Not everything is as it seems at Carnal Manor, and as more damning evidence begins to pile up, Callie wonders what hand Hawk has in all of this. He was, after all, the one who invited them.
