Good basic addition and subtraction textbook

Written in a conventional and conversational style, this book isn't nearly as dry as the math textbooks. I like that the book was written to explain, step by step , multiple ways to solve problems of addition and subtraction. Many opportunities for practice are given. I especially like that all of the answers are at the back of the book. I felt the book would have been easier to follow with confidence the reader was performing the functions properly if the steps were listed in words with a visual example including color coding for each step.
