Conall Brannock takes his job seriously. He doesn't get attached, he doesn't ask questions, and he protects his family at all costs. Nothing will change that. Not even the sweet, green eyed witness that just burst into his life and shifted his world. He has one job to do; protect Emily until she can testify. He can't let his interest in her get in the way, but the more he finds out about her, the more he can't help but wonder how the beautiful broken girl got into this mess in the first place. And the longer he takes to learn the truth, the deeper he falls for her.

Emily Dawson has a job to do. Stay off the grid, testify, and hopefully get her brother back. He's all she has left of the family she struggled so hard to hold together and she would do anything to keep him safe. Even if it means she has put herself in harm's way or that she has conned everyone into believing she saw something she didn't. She knows where her loyalties lie, but her stoic yet gentle protector and his crazy family makes her question everything she once knew.

Loyalty can be one sided.
Family isn't always blood.
And honesty can destroy everything she has come to love.

For readers 18+ due to strong language and sexual content.

I live in Morgan, Utah with my husband, beautiful daughter, and a couple of spoiled pups. If I'm not deeply involved in writing my next book, then I'm probably reading in the safety and quiet of my closet. I love yoga – which I now practice regularly – playing hide and seek with my daughter (only to have my hiding spots revealed by one of the pups), and I love Fruit by the Foot, Twizzlers and Peace Tea. These are great ways to bribe me into revealing secrets about what's to come.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and The Big Bang Theory. I also enjoy talking about them, so if you like them, too, come find me.

Writing has become an enormous part of my life and every book I write holds a special place in my heart. If you read one of my books, I hope you have the same experience.

ARC Honest Review

5 [NO WORDS CAN DO JUSTICE] STARS

Conall Brannock & Emily Dawson ♥

description

For starters, this is my first ARC and I'm so VERY thankful that it was the sequel to the Brannock Siblings series. Jessica Wilde ... I am so honored to be chosen to read one of the first copies of this PHENOMENAL book. She has done it again by creating a captivating sequel ... I can honestly say that I'm torn on whether I liked the first or second book better!

description

I've got you baby. Your safe now..."

description

Fighting it didn't do a damn thing. I was hers. Period. I just needed to make her mine...

description

The synopsis itself is already engaging and I couldn't wait to devour the book. It picks up where the first ends off however now moving on to another Brannock sibling: Conall. The eldest, the playboy, and the sweetheart. He cares so deeply for the ones he loves which makes you love him even more. His profession just adds onto the attraction factor. Speaking of, because of his profession he is assigned to protect Emily who is testifying in a case and must stay safe. No one is best fitting for the job then the wonderful Conall which is why I completely understand why Emily starts developing feelings towards him. With that being said, it isn't one sided because Mr. Brannock is also falling pretty deep for her. Their chemistry may be undeniable but there are still other obstacles they come to face.

description

A MUST READ, I highly recommend to read when it is released. You'll surely fall in love with the characters (WHO WOULDN'T... CONALL IS A BABE & BOOK BOYFRIEND MATERIAL), plot (DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER DEFINITELY ACTION PACKED), and author (I WOULDN'T BLAME YOU). I cannot wait to see what Jessica Wilde puts in store for Gus and Aiden in the third installment.

Conned by Jessica Wilde, is the second book of the Brannock Siblings. As in Leverage, this book held my interest from the beginning and if you have not read Leverage, I suggest you read it so you get the full benefit of knowing all of the characters from the Brannock family and the ones introduced in book two as well!
Book 2 is about Connal Brannock and Emily, a witness he has been nominated to keep safe while she awaits a trial as a witness for the prosecution. She is staying with him so he can make sure nothing happens to her before the trial. Emily becomes really enamored of the Brannock family and how much they all love and care about each other, and how they have taken her into their homes and their hearts as well. They love her just as much! She has a brother, as their parents died when she was 18, and she took over raising him, but unfortunately he is not a nice person and he has involved Emily in something that has endangered her life, by agreeing to help him, and the sad fact is that he is using her, and does not care what happens to her.
There is a lot of emotional turmoil felt by Emily, and the Brannocks as she has developed feelings towards her protector, feelings she has never felt for anyone, and feelings about her brother and how he has been towards her.
There is a lot of emotional angst between the two siblings as she loves her brother and does not want anything to happen to him, and she finally realizes that all the love is one-sided.
The plot is well developed, and the story line is really excellent.I can't say too much more or I will give the plot away.
When seriously bad things happen, can love be strong enough to overlook things done in the name of love that are misunderstood, to heal a love that has seriously been jeopardized by deceit? Is there such a thing as second chances? Will there be a future for Emily and Connal? Will Emily's brother come to his senses? You will have to read this book to find out.
I really loved this book and look forward to the next book in this series about The Brannocks!
Get yourself a copy when it is released and see what happens!
I gave this book a 5***** star rating, as this book is great!

Thank you to Jessica Wilde for another wonderful read!

Conned is book 2 in the Brannock Siblings series. In Leverage we got Ash and Luca's story; in Conned we get the story of Conall and Emily. True to Jessica's work, she kept me enthralled.
So per usual I'l just give you a quick rundown and tell you why I loved the book. Cause yes I loved this story. And of course we get our HEA with no cliffy. Just like adding the cherry on your perfect dream sundae!!
MmmHmmm let me tell you about Hot Conall. Being tall, built, with a firm jaw line and a bit of scruff just making him that much hotter, with dark brown wavy hair. And his eyes. Deep blue color you just want to stare into all day. Oh Yea reading about Conall was definitely a pleasure. There is 2 things that Conall takes seriously. One his job and 2 his family. After what happened with his Sister Ash and Dad (In Leverage) Conall will let nothing happen to his family. He couldn't let that happen. So when he gets assigned to do a job, he will stop at nothing to make sure Emily is protected. Even if it is to watch Emily and make sure she is safe.

Emily where do we begin with this sweet girl. Well you would like to think she is sweet. But she has a secret.. And just like a great quality that Conall has she will stop at nothing to protect her family. And her brother is all she has left. So when left with a choice she knows what she must do. But at what cost. I mean really. At the end of the day if she puts herself at risk, its to protect her brother, so she thinks its worth it; but what if it becomes more. What if it ends up putting other people you love at risk. People that show you love and loyalty. ok so since I said a little of the synopsis and about Emily and Conall let me get into why I really loved this book.

Conned is a stupendous story about, loyalty, family, and trust. I was blown away with Conned. Conned had everything we love in our romance novels. Jessica gets in depth on describing the details we need to know to understand the actions of the characters. Everything was just executed so perfectly. The reason why Emily ended up in Conall's watch may not have been the best of circumstances. But I am glad she did. These 2 characters together, meshed so well. I love how protective Conall gets over Emily. He will stop at nothing to make sure she is safe. He will protect her just like she was family. And Emily isn't used to this behavior. She doesn't even get it from her own brother. So when she starts to see the actions of this man. Someone who barely knows her and will put his life at risk for her. Well she starts to open up and see Conall for so much. I just can't express how wonderful this story truly is. There were no holes in the story, I'm not left asking questions or what if. Everything was answered and brought to me clearly within reading this story. Conned is a truly magnificent refreshing read. So what are you waiting for go one click Conned now. You won't be disappointed. If you haven't read Leverage, make sure you one click that while you are there. Now I am waiting for Missing. I can't wait to read about Gus. The final Sibling of The Brannock Siblings. And in the meantime. I found some more books by Jessica Wilde and I know I am going to have to check those out also!

Another great story by Jessica !!

I loved Leverage for many different reasons , 1 being the family loyalty and love and 2 being the suspense in the storyline. Conned comes along and has that as well and I was pulled in before I even started. We met Con in book 1 and I knew I wanted to learn more about him. Workaholic , manwhore , HOT , loyal brother , son and employee , how can you go wrong !!

Emily is much like the Brannocks , loyal to her brother so much so that her own life is in danger. Now she is forced to live with Con and be protected by him 24/7. Thankfully the Brannocks are such a great family that they welcome Emily into their homes and lives without issue. The word around town is Emily and Con are finally able to be together after a long distance relationship , they put on their show in front of people and when alone it seems to be all business. I love the inner monologue , especially Con's. You can tell he is smitten and struggling because it is a job and you just cannot mix desire and work. But time goes on and you can see it is impossible to prevent. Both Con and Emily are struggling with feelings of desire and the sexual tension is crazy.
On top of this we have the main issue in the story. Emily's brother witnessed a crime , she is taking the heat for it. Who are these people after Emily and what is her brother doing to protect her from his mistakes ?? I knew something was off about Emily's brother all along. It does not take long for others to figure this out. Will Emily figure it out before it is too late ?? Will her brother's mistakes be her doom or will Con be able to save her from the one family member she has left ??

I loved how this played out. At 1 point I wanted to smack Con but he redeemed himself , I should have had faith !! He is a Brannock ,letting someone down is not in his nature !! When Emily and Con finally have their moment you will be very pleased !!

You may feel you have it all figured out but regardless you will not want to put this book down !! I truly enjoy how there are bits and pieces of all the Brannocks & Liam in this story. They are a family I love to spend time with and I look forward to more about them and to finally get some insight to Fergus !!

Holy hell! Jessica Wilde is killing me with these men. Conned was more intense than Leverage and I wasn't sure that was possible. I'm still loving the dad though. Lol.

Conall and Emily. I just finished reading this and I'm not sure I can get my thoughts together. I absolutely loved these two. Conall might possibly be better than Lucas from Leverage and I really thought no one would top him. But Conall definitely does. He has the same going for him as Lucas. Hot, sweet, smart, caring and good at his job. But there is just something about him that pulled me in so deeply into the book. I couldn't stop reading. Couldn't get enough of him.

Emily is a sweet girl who is just trying to look out for her brother. He gets her mixed up in some crazy shit and gets her to do things for him. Of course she's smart and knows it's wrong but wants to help her brother out. Her only family left. I really felt for her. I couldn't imagine going through what she did. A lot of parts during this book ripped my heart out and a lot made me want to explode with happiness. My emotions will be out of wack for a while.

When these two finally come together I swear it was earth shattering. Of course the first thought I had was "Finally!" but it was so much more than that. I could feel the tension with these two. It was driving me nuts. Emily definitely has better self control because I would have jumped on him a lot sooner. Ha ha!

I have only ever had the urge to peak at the ending one other time before I started reading this series. With the first two it was a constant struggle with myself not to do it. Just to prepare myself for what would happen. There is so much suspense and mystery on top of the crazy emotions already going on. I am loving these Brannock men and am excited to see what will happen in the next book with Gus Gus.

This series is a MUST read!!!

Both books in this series have been great. The characters are all so much fun. The Brannock brothers are hot! And yes, I'm including Lucas because he's family.

Conall is a cop whose new job is to protect a witness for an upcoming trial. He knew the minute he saw her picture she was trouble. Not necessarily bad trouble, but trouble for his heart. When he sees her in person for the first time, he's nearly speechless. She's beautiful, but he keeps reminding himself his job is to protect her, nothing more.

Emily parents weren't nice people and were killed when she was eighteen in a car accident leaving her to get custody of her thirteen year old brother. She tried her best to show him love and raise him right, but he always ended up in trouble. This time, it's deadly. Emily will do anything to protect him, even if it means lying and putting herself in danger.

The chemistry between Con and Emily is intense. Both feel it, and both try to deny it. Emily finds herself falling in love not only with her protector Con, but his family also. They all see it, but Con is determined to do his job, even though his heart is telling him otherwise. How can he protect Emily though when she's not completely honest?

I absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait to read Gus' book and see more of these wonderful characters.

Finally able to read the second book of The Brannock Siblings’!
I can’t believe I was too busy with school that I forgotten about how reading a book calms me. People always say that reading a book is like escaping the reality. Like, reading is some sort of things a loser do with their time.
Contrary to their belief, reading a book is helpful. It give us life lessons, inspirations, ideas. And thoughts to ponder about life.
Reading always relaxes me. There’s just something about a good book at hand that made me forget about my troubles and problems, that help me cope up with stress. Yes, I can see books as escape. But what a wonderful escape it is.

While reading Connall’s story, I can’t help but wish that I instead of having 3 sisters and a brother, I have handful of brothers, like Conall and Fergus. I’ll have Luke for a brother as well. But, family is family. Cant change that. :)

Family is family. That’s what I loved about the Brannock Sibs series. While all those dangerous side of the their lovestory does not happen often in real life, their love for their family is something we should be inspired of.

Nobody would loves us as much as our parents and siblings does.

That’s THE reality.

And, Fergus?
I'll see you soon, love. :)

What would you do for your family? At what lengths would you go to protect the only family you have? Emily had to make decisions at a young age to look out for her brother when her parents didn't care to even notice them. As they grew into adults, Emily still felt she had to protect him for fear she had never done enough to keep him from the bad influences of friends and environment. This time though, what she has to do to protect her brother puts her in witness protection and on a known criminal's hit list.

Conall is the detective brought in to protect Emily until the hearing. If only it was as simple as that. While the drama and suspense unfolds over the two months before trial, so does the growing love between Conall and Emily. Is their love strong enough to handle the deceit lies, and her brother's betrayal? Is family only those that are DNA connected or can Emily overcome her desire to protect her brother in order to live life of her own?

This is one page turner that will have you wanting to strangle one person and long to have family that come together when all else seems to be falling apart.

I sometimes found myself laughing over the conversations Conall and Emily had:
"Where are we going?"
We kept moving, but he answered her question as if it was obvious. "I'm taking you to breakfast."
"Oh."
"Then we're going to look at an apartment."
"Oh."
His voice faded and she assumed he was climbing the stairs when he said, "Gotta make sure my girlfriend approves of where we live."
Conall that boy has some caveman thoughts, "she thought I was just being nice? She had no idea. No idea that she was on my mind all day every day and not just for my job. No idea that every man that looked at her didn't realize he had a death wish." This installment was okay it wasn't as good as the first one hopefully the third book in the series brings more oomph to me.

Conall and Emily

Conned is centered around Conall and Emily but still involves the rest of the family as well. The Brannock men are HOT (yes, including Liam)! Con is the more stoic of the bunch and takes his job very seriously when he is assigned to protect a witness for an upcoming trial.
Emily is placed into witness protection and, due to unfortunate events, is relocated under Con's charge. He will do everything to protect her because it's his job but he begins to have feelings for Emily. He fights his feelings because he has a job to do and anything beyond that "doesn't matter". Con's character is sexy because he's so protective over everyone he loves and the way he adores Emily makes me swoon! I enjoyed their story and being able to catch up with the rest of the Brannock family.

Continuing right where Leverage left off, this story is full of action, drama and steamy scenes.

This time its big brother Connal’s turn to find love. Emily gets under his skin before he even meets her.
Emily is a witness Con must protect. She has already been found and attacked once and the Chief in
Denver wants her safe so Con is the only guy he trusts for the job.

I love how Wilde writes strong, independent women with attitude. Emily’s fire and the love Con and Gus
show for Ash makes the story swoonworthy. The traditional values and character traits Wilde writes the
Brannock men with are very refreshing and a huge contrast to how Emily’s own brother treats and cares
for her.
Cannot wait for Gus’ story. 

She has pretty much nothing...he has everything she's ever dreamed about. Family, love, acceptance. She's in hiding after witnessing a crime that may not have gone down how it's been told. He is charged with keeping her safe.

Emily has secrets. Ones that put her life in danger. Conall is fast becoming her rock, her support. What Emily doesn't realize is that just because someone is family, it doesn't always mean they have your best interests in mind. Selfish comes in all forms. Will it be too late when she figures this all out?

Conall is strong, honest, loyal, and fiercely committed to his family. All Emily needs to do is trust him and, all that could be hers as well.

Lots of action, lots of heat...betrayal and understanding. Check it out.

Initially I was only interested in reading the first book in this series, Leverage. After reading the sample of Conned at the end of Leverage, I knew I needed to read this book! I absolutely loved the relationship between Conall and Emily. This book allowed me to see a different side of Con from what we saw in Leverage. The Brannock family is awesome! I'd like to know more about what's in store for Con & Emily. I am looking forward to reading the next book, Gus' story. I know there'll be glimpses into what's going on with Ash & Luke and Con & Emily as well as an interesting story for Gus.

This book is the second book in the Brannock Siblings. Jessica does it again with a very well written story that held my interest from the first page. This is Con and Emily's story. The characters are very well developed and I couldn't help but feel very connected with the characters. This is one book that I will be able to read again and again. I can't wait to read the third book. Jessica you are an amazing author.

Oh so intense! I'm not sure but I think that this was even better than the first one! It really kept me on the edge! I love how well the two characters really seemed to belong together! I don't know what I would have done in her position. It is difficult to let a family member go and suffer the consequences of their actions. She just really wanted to believe.

Just finished reading less than 24 hours after reading Book 1. Conall is the only officer you want protecting you if you are ever in witness protection. Love how his and Emily's relationship unfold. Hearing how much more empowered Ash, from Leverage, is was icing on the cake. Love these characters. Love this series. Off to start book 3. Don't bother me, I'm reading.

Conned (Book 2 of The Brannock Siblings Series) by Jessica Wilde is an absolute must-read! I was hooked from the very beginning and refused to put it down until I seen those two little words on the last page. There's suspense, danger, family, love, and some sexual tension that you just can't miss out on in this story!

Conall Brannock is a detective, and a damn good one. He's never really settled down since the last who hurt him but never really thought about it much, either. That was until Emily walked off that plane and into his life for the next couple of months. She was the most beautiful woman he ever laid eyes on and would be the toughest one to be around.

Emily Dawson is in witness protection to keep her little brother from going to prison or even worse, from being killed but, no one knew that was the reason. It's getting harder to keep her secrets from Conall and his family that she has come to love in just a short period of time. But she has to stick to the plan, she has to be loyal to the only family she has left.

After getting to know each other and living together during the time before the trial, Con and Emily are both torn. Con is fighting his attraction for Emily because he is a professional, but he is falling for her more everyday, even though he feels she is hiding something from him. Emily, never having the closeness in her family that Conall has with his, is dying to just feel loved and accepted. Her feelings for Con are deep but she can't give in. None of them would ever forgive her for her dishonesty.

Will Conall and Emily be able to fight their feelings and constant attraction to each other? Will the Brannock's discover the truth Emily is protecting or will Emily continue risking all of their lives for what she believes is right? I strongly urge you to read Conned by Jessica Wilde to find out. It a story that is passionate, sexy, deceitful, emotional, with just the right amount of action. It was impossible to put down, mainly because I "needed" to see what happened between Emily and Con! Haha. Truly an amazing book!
