Ruby Sharp is a contemporary romance author, and in her steamy world of storytelling, she weaves tales that could make even a billionaire bad boy blush.
When not immersed in the world of washboard abs and protective alpha males, Ruby embarks on a different escapade: gleefully uncorking the swirling adventures of wine. It’s a fitting pastime for someone who knows that a good vintage, like a well-written romance, gets better with time. It will sometimes spark the next great story idea…or so she claims.
In the realm of reality, Ruby also works in finance. She enjoys marital bliss (well, most of the time) and shares her kingdom, on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with their two spirited daughters and a dog whose idea of a plot twist involves chasing its own tail.
When Ivy Bennett decides to start over after a bad breakup in another town, she drives to a wealthy man’s mansion for a job interview. She is surprised to find that Gabriel Hunt is a tall, well-built, and very attractive silver fox. When she tells him to call her “Ivy” rather than “Miss Bennett”, he flat-out says NO. The interview continues as he asks her about her teaching job and why she gave it up. He finally accepted her explanation and, with the enthusiastic agreement of his 5-year-old daughter Hannah, she is offered the nanny job. He helps her with her single suitcase, but when he catches a glimpse of a familiar photo, he grabs it and demands to know why she has a picture of his estranged brother, Michael! When Gabriel tells her that he is her ex-fiance’s older brother, who has been using the last name of “Taylor” (his mother’s maiden name, which was why she never realized he was related to Gabriel), will that be enough to make her walk away? Or will she still want to work for him?
Although Gabriel has no intention of falling in love again after losing his wife, his mother won’t give up trying to fix him up with a “replacement” female. So at dinner over at her place, he has had enough and tells his mother and sister he has been seeing someone, just to make them stop meddling. He hints that the woman “might” be attending the garden party that weekend. Returning home, he tells Ivy about his problem of needing to introduce his family to his new girlfriend… one that he doesn’t have. He suggests she play that role which would satisfy his mother and keep Michael away from her. She agrees, but at the garden party his “tipsy” mother announces to the other guests that he was getting engaged to Ivy! It was too late to stop her, so he decided to drop to one knee as he whispered for Ivy to go along with it, and he proposed. She momentarily went along with it, but after the party, he needs to convince his angry “fiancee” to agree to the fake relationship until he can figure a way out of this. They didn’t intend for it to deepen into something real. But is it now too late to back out without further repercussions when her latest secret soon becomes obvious?
This was my first book by Ruby Sharp, and overall, it was a great read! It’s a Billionaire x Nanny romance filled with romance, angst, and a fair share of back-and-forth tension. The story revolves around Gabriel, a broody single dad who’s lost faith in love after the tragic death of his former partner, Rebecca. Focused on work and raising his sweet daughter, Hannah, he’s not looking for romance—until Ivy arrives. Fresh off a bad breakup and looking for a fresh start, Ivy is strong-willed and unafraid to speak her mind, but a bit stubborn at times.
Their connection is palpable, full of sexual tension and undeniable chemistry, even though Gabriel’s hot-and-cold behavior can be frustrating. He’s constantly torn between wanting Ivy and holding back to protect his heart. As they clash, they also begin to heal, finding in each other the happiness they never expected. Despite a bit of a slow start, the story picks up and delivers an angsty journey that ultimately leads to a satisfying HEA. If you love slow-burn romance with a good mix of emotional depth, angst, and redemption, you’ll enjoy every moment of Ivy and Gabriel’s story!

OMG 😱 this a great story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was totally worth. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Ivy was facing a breakup from her ex’s Michael. So she left town to start over she was looking for a job as a nanny. Gabriel and Ivy was sexual attraction between each other and this was forbidden. And the physical attraction was sizzling hot. She started to feel a bond with his child and Gabriel as well. Could she be falling in love with him or could this be a one night affair that she will never forget. She never thought that her life will change up side down with consequences and intimacy and unexpected pregnancy. Will her ex’s Michael try to get her back in this moment when find out where she moved too. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
Ivy, fresh from a bad breakup, decides she needs to make a change and start over in Aspen Falls, a small town she visited in the past. Determined, the 25-year-old accepts a nanny job for five-year-old Hannah, only child of widower Gabriel, who just happens to be the brother of her ex. Gabriel is a grumpy 45-year-old billionaire who has closed his heart off because of the loss of his wife. They embark on a fake dating relationship to offset family pressures, but those boundaries keep moving because the relationship escalates quickly.
Both MCs have emotional challenges that they have to overcome, which makes for a bumpy road full of angst and poor decisions. The writing is great, the sex scenes are hot, and content written in a way that is captivating. I enjoyed this book, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
After Ivy ends a relationship, she decides to relocate in a spur of the moment. This leads her to Hunter's home applying for the nanny job. Hunter is on the fence because of how quickly she relocated by his daughter wants Ivy, so she gets hired. Not long after she moves in Hunter finds out that they have a weird connection. Once she explains things, he is fine with her staying. However, its not long before things heat up between them. Just as they are starting to see where things go between them. Someone from her past shows up. Will her past wreck her future? Can Hunter and Ivy get their happy ending?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
I’m not rating this book because I DNFed it, and honestly, I just couldn’t get on board with the whole premise. Two completely different people, with next to no interaction or chemistry, somehow falling in love in what felt like twenty pages? Yeah, I wasn’t buying it. It all felt way too fast-paced—like the author was throwing every trope at the wall without actually giving the romance any time to develop.
How am I supposed to believe you fell head-over-heels for a guy you’ve barely spoken to? And when you did interact, there was nothing there to suggest those “falling in love” vibes. Sure, he might be hot, but let’s be real—that’s not enough to sell me on the romance. If there’s no connection, no build-up, it just doesn’t feel like love; it feels like rushing to hit the plot points.
So yeah, I had to put it down. Maybe this one just wasn’t for me.
This book was good, but it bounced back and forth like a Yo-Yo. When Ivy leaves Boston and moves away from her ex-fiancé Michael the encounters she happens to deal with is not what you expect. She takes a job as a nanny for the grumpy billionaire single dad Gabriel who lost the love of his life Rebecca in a car accident. His little girl Hannah is sweet as candy. :) However, what was a little hard to get into was first he wants Ivy, then he doesn't, then he wants he again all because he is protecting his heart. I would recommend this book, but it has a slow start to it in my opinion but a HEA ending.
This was my first book by Ruby Sharp and it was a great read. It was an easy and quick read filled with romance and lots of ANGST. It’s a Billionaire x Nanny romance, what’s not to love?
We meet the MMC, Gabriel, a broody single dad who doesn’t believe he’ll ever find love again. He is focused on his work and taking care of his daughter. That is until Ivy appears at his doorstep, interviewing for the nanny position. When we meet Ivy, she is trying to rebuild her life in Aspen Falls after a shitty breakup. She’s very straightforward and always willing to confront the problem, but a little stubborn. Ivy and Gabriel clash, especially when Gabriel acts like a total idiot. They bring each other the happiness and love they craved without trying so hard. The book is filled with angst and sexual tension between Ivy and Gabriel, which only becomes stronger throughout the book. Two lost souls finding love in the place they least expect it. I enjoyed every second of Ivy and Gabriel’s story.
Ivy and Gabriel have a working relationship when she becomes his nanny despite the revelation that he is her ex's brother. The situation gets more complicated when a fake proposal and engagement happen to occur. It was an enticing read despite the hot and cold behavior from Gabriel throughout the story. This was an enjoyable plot with great development.

Silver Fox Billionaire and His Nanny by Ruby Sharp was a quick fun read. Ivy is getting over a bad break up and meets Gabriel when she applied for a job to be his nanny. Gabriel is getting over the loss of his wife Rebecca who passed in a car accident. There is a lot of drama between the two of them but you can also feel the chemistry. I enjoyed reading the book and I think you will too.

This was a steamy read. I enjoyed Gabriel and Ivy's connection and how Ivy loved his daughter. Gabriel and Ivy have a lot of obstacles to overcome and it was an interesting read with all the twists and turns. I enjoyed this book and was happy to see them find their happy every after!
I really loved reading about Gabriel and Ivy. He is a single dad and needing a nanny to care for his little girl. Ivy is starting over and needs a job away from old memories. She didn't realize that Gabriel was going to turn her world upside.
DNF 36%. The idea was interesting, It started OK, but I wasn’t really interested about the characters. There were parts that I didn’t like, and the plot was a little bit slow for me.
I adore the couple in this book, the age gap and the difference in their personalities. It was nice seeing Gabe open up and let loose around Ivy and Hannah. The way Gabe is so devoted to her after the accidents is so sweet and nice. This book is definitely a good one.
