With the war continuing to rage on with no end in sight, Percy must continue to fight for his pack in the genocide of the human race. History has a knack for repeating itself, and with Percy beyond his mental breaking point, he finds himself in the same predicament his father was in only ten years prior. Save or kill two innocent human boys?

Now on the run from his pack, Percy must find sanctuary in the one place where humans and wolves are peacefully coexisting, Canada. With the sudden responsibility of raising two young humans, Percy—with the help of his mate Anthony and family—must heal from the horrors he’s gone through as a child soldier. All while trying to not push away the two newest members of his little family.

With the threat of his pack finding him and, even worse, losing himself to his own fear and anxiety, what is a young man to do? He must heal.

Heal was the perfect ending to the Wolf in Me series. It gave us both the gritty reality of war and the heartwarming contrast of love and acceptance in Percy's family life that we've come to expect from this series.

In Heal we get to see Percy grappling with everything he's done in the war and fall out that's caused. I loved getting to see more of the Percy we saw in book one when he first arrived with his pack and how his relationship with Xander helped him to adjust. Now that he's older we get to see him step into the father role and change is so powerful to read.

This story pulls no punches and show the reality of dealing with trauma and how difficult it can be to move past and accept that you are worthy of love. Bring your tissues because you will need them.
