I loved this book by Anne Carter. I was swept away by the love story, the mystery, the tragedy and twist ending. Anne Carter allowed us to feel passion and intrigue. Point Surrender is a charming and heartfelt love story. I especially loved the storyline with Amy turning to her brother during her time of need. Brian, Amy's brother has many things to share with Amy including a fiance and a lighthouse.
Amy Winslow is devastated, pregnant and is running from her broken relationship with Drew. Amy is happy for her brother and his lighthouse but is unnerved by the lighthouse and its secrets. A lighthouse filled with mystery, tragedy, and death.
Case McKenna, is a marine veterinarian who needs to get away for awhile and clear his head. He finds himself in Newburg Harbor with his boat crippled by a lighthouse. Case finds himself helping to restore the lighthouse and uncover the mysteries that surround the lighthouse. The renovation uncovers many secrets that changes the lives of the people involved.
Anne Carter envelopes us in the descriptions of the town, harbor, and the characters. The story puts us through an emotional roller coaster of love, tragedy, secrets, ghosts and the closeness of family and friends. I highly recommend this book and hope to read many more by this author.
