A little dumber than the first volume, but again, I'm comfortable rounding up from a 2.5.

VALORACIÓN: 4'5 estrellas

No soy muy fan del humor absurdo, y en este tomo hay para rato, pero el carisma del protagonista y las movidas en las que se mete me tienen enganchada a la obra. A ver cómo avanza la trama ❤️

The story picks up a gear here. Juzo Ogami, the middle-aged hitman in a teenager's body, has promised to fake-date Noren Mitsuoka, heiress of the pharmaseutical company responsible for the genetic mutation drug that transformed Ogami. She's fourteen, but her father has declared a hunt for her hand, hence the fake-dating to keep suitors away.

The plan doesn't work, because everyone can challenge Ogami for her hand. First, a fellow hitman shows up in their class as a student and challenges him for a really bizarre fight. Then a super-athlete does the same, mostly to mock the home economics class Ogami attends. Ogami can't take that lying down, and the match gets heated.

Midterms give Ogami some trouble too. He's never had a chance to live a life where failure is possible, so he studies like crazy. It takes his ex-wife giving him some advice for him to relax a little.

Finally, Ogami ends up on a date with Noren and another couple. Noren has already become suspicious of him and the date strengthens her suspicions. The volume ends with a cliffhanger that threatens to put an end to Ogami's school days. I have to read more.

I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

I am such a big fan of this series. It's so fun, funny, and cute while still having a lot of action scenes. I'm loving all of the characters, I feel like each does have a unique personality and that I'm getting to know each of them alongside our protagonist. He's so endearing and his middle-aged fatherly nature juxtaposed with his hitman badassery is a great combination. A concern I had was that there'd be fan service-y elements or that he'd be written as interested in the other female students despite his internal age, but there's been nothing of the sort in either volume. This manga is quickly becoming one of my new favorites, and shonen isn't even my usual genre of choice. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a new manga to start.

Great, addictive

The storyline is compelling. The different characters are well developed and the plot and the strategy in the storytelling. It is very excellent.

Not as good as the first volume but good enough that it’s worth checking out the next one.

The home ec club winds up in a sports battle with an athletic prodigy. He's more interested in Ogami than Noren, for once!
