Nobody deserves to be without a home. In collaboration with several authors, Less Than Three Press offers up an anthology of stories about young people who find that home and family are not always where you expect to find them.
All proceeds from this charity anthology will be donated to Project Fierce Chicago.
Project Fierce Chicago’s mission is to reduce LGBTQ youth homelessness in Chicago by providing affirming, no-cost transitional housing and comprehensive support services to homeless LGBTQ young adults. PFC also aims to encourage community-building and civic engagement through cooperative living and youth leadership development.
I want to start this review saying I'm very proud to be a fan of these authors. This people have donated their time and their beautiful stories to a very important cause. The Project Fierce Chicago helps all the LGBT young homeless who just need a place to be in and people who care about them and help them find a home and a family. This anthology is so beautiful and emotional, I cried almost every story I read , I'm a crybaby I know, but some of them left me with a heartbroken to cure (in my case using lot of chocolate). I have a few favourite stories I want to show you
Blood is Thicker than Water by Leta Hutchins. I like to thank Leta for writing about Bobbi and her amazing new family. This one was really sweet and like her new mum says, it's absolutely true that “bonds you make, the promises you make, the people you choose as your family, are more important that the family you were born in to.”
Finding Home Piper Vaughn & Xara X. Xanakas is the story of Alex and Skylar. They told us about being bullied and the courage in love and friendship. I care so much for Skylar, so young and proud and brave. A truly beautiful character. And I wish all the parents in the world could be like Alex's parents, who love their child unconditionally and take care of Skylar like it was their own child too.
Alex by Caitlin Ricci. This is the first story in the anthology.I was feeling a little lost at the end cause I missed the happy ending but going on with the reading I was so happy to meet Alex again with Socks who will always be in my heart. It was a special surprise to me. Thanks Caitlin.
I recommend this anthology with all my heart and tears. It's for everyone, for those who love fantasy or a little paranormal and for those who love contemporary. And for everyone who wishes these young boys can be just loved and be able to have a family.
4.5/5.0 I love it when authors get together and create these wonderful anthologies. As a reader, I get to sample the talents of authors I may have not read before and I can help out too. This anthology is filled with twenty stories covering various genres; contemporary, science fiction, shifter, fantasy, and supernatural.
Overall I enjoyed all of the stories.
Some of my favorites are Socks by Caitlin Ricci, Pretty Boy and Frankie by C.J. Anthony; Blood is Thicker Than Water by Leta Hutchins, Hearth & Home by B. Snow, Finding Home by Piper Vaughn & Xara X. Xanakas and Castle on a Cloud by Talya Andor.

I know that usually anthologies are mixed bags yet I love them anyway, and I love them all the more when they're published for the benefit of a good cause. There is not wasted money in such cases and I regard and respect all the authors for theirs contributions.
Hence, it doesn't seem fair nor mandatory to me softening my opinions; it's simple: a good cause always prevails over a personal opinion.

Finding Home by Piper Vaughn & Xara X. Xanakas - 2,5 stars
Hearth & Home by B. Snow - 2 stars

Crash Pad by Lor Rose - 2 stars
Long Way Home by April - 1. 5 star
Esperanza by Vicktor Alexander - -1 I'm so sorry but this story seemed awfully simplistic and childish to me; so bad that I cannot help but to call on a negative rating to establish its distance with the other stories from the anthology.
This book is an anthology of short stories written by supporters of Project Fierce Chicago, whose "mission is to reduce LGBTQ youth homelessness in Chicago by providing affirming, no-cost transitional housing and comprehensive support services to homeless LGBTQ young adults." The proceeds from the sale of this book go to support that cause. The stories cover a variety of genres from romance to fantasy and Science Fiction as well as reality based stories. Some of the stories were very well written and I enjoyed them very much. I think my favorite story in the book is Timethieves. I do highly recommend the book with a warning that there is a lot of adult content in it. Sadly, many of the stories are not well edited. I do hope that if the authors continue to write that they will hire editors in the future because editing is important.
