Redeeming is PAVAD: FBI—Prevention & Analysis of Violent Acts Division #7 by Calle J Brookes. The book's unique blend of suspense, romance, and social issues captivates me and keeps me turning the pages. Redeeming is a fantastic addition to Calle J. Brookes's excellent PAVA series. I love her writing style and the way she portrays her characters and their interactions throughout this book. Redeeming is well-written and researched. I like Calle J. Brookes's description of the settings of Redeeming, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.
Readers of Redeeming will be immersed in law enforcement investigations, gaining a unique perspective on the role of a handwriting expert. The book also illuminates the harsh realities of child labour, a pervasive issue affecting many children. This intriguing blend of suspense and social issues makes for a compelling and thought-provoking read.
I recommend this book.

Yup, Calle J. Brookes knocks it on the head again, another engrossing book.

Talk about stubborn! These two people are of the toughest crop.
Payton has a past that she isn't over yet. She doesn't want anyone new in her life and have to explain her past.
Luc had a past that had it's monsters, really, so he doesn't understand love and how to love someone. He can save them, but can he love them?
Take this journey with Luc and Payton as they try to rectify their past so they can be the best of themselves.....with each other or without each other.

I have to say, this series is getting kind of boring the last two installments were so blah, blah, blah. The two MC, Payton and Luc are sooo annoying and unlikable. The only reason I've been continuing with the series is I want to get to Paige and Mick. Finally, the next book is about them. After that, I'm done with this series.

Great story!!
This series is outstanding. Each entry gets better and better. While it deals with the less than stellar side of life, the good guys win. Battered and bloody, but they win and in this day and time, we need to see the good guys winning. Thank you, Calle Brookes for these great books!

I really didn't like the hero. What kind of guy tracks down a long lost sister and then doesn't try to reconnect with her? A jerk, that's who. And Payton was just a little too blah for me. I'd give this zero stars if I could.

I wasn't sure at first about this book. Luc was a very different character than we've seen in this series, but I grew to love him and his relationship with Payton. I have high hopes for Paige and Luc to build a sibling relationship.

FANTASTICAL
Another great story from Calle J Brookes! As always she never lets me down, Calle's books 📚 are always the best! This one was cute 🥰! I love ❤️ that Paige found her brother, and sweet little Peyton finds her mate 😜! And it happens to be the same guy!!!

Great read
Callie J. Brookes is a master of suspense, action and romance. This latest installment in the PAVAD series ties up loose ends but there are new threads that keep you ready to jump right into the next book.

You just can’t not enjoy one of these books. The investigations, the chemistry, the bonds that make up a family and the love found along the way. Everything is just brilliant and keeps you coming back for more. Luc & Payton will leave you smiling.

Deputy Director of the FBI, Ed Dennis has set out to create an elite division of the FBI in St Louis. PAVAD - Prevention and Analysis of Violent Acts Division. Specialising in diverse and out of the ordinary threats, PAVAD employs both agents and support staff in order to respond quickly, accurately and efficiently.
Forensic scientist Dr. Payton Asher specialises in questionable documentation. Spotting forgeries is her entire job - so when she is asked to witness her friend Merrick Cody's custody papers for her new daughter, Lucy she knows the papers are fake. Worried that her friend is getting mixed up with illegal acts, Payton turns to the one person who delivered Lucy and the papers - David Lucas - to find the truth.
Billionaire David Lucas has spent his life trying to make life better for other children. Children like him and his long lost sister who have had to survive all the bad in the world. When Payton comes asking for the truth, Luc isn't above a few lies or threats to make sure the truth stays hidden.
I found this one hard to get into. It sort of jumped right into things and since I don't really remember much about either Lucas or Payton from the other books, it fell flat. This one is set concurrently with book #6: Running and fills in what some of the other agents were doing at the same time Alessandra was off finding evidence, before branching forwards.
The biggest problem with this book though was that I didn't really like or understand either of the main characters. Lucas was an ass. Payton was fragile. Neither of them were my kind of character.
Lucas was indecipherable. He was all about caring for his sister but then doesn't bother to keep in touch or get back in contact with her? It was just weird. Why not just keep watch over her then? Instead he completely abandoned her.
Plus his initial thoughts about Payton were off putting. He apparently picked her because she wasn't super attractive. I mean, I kind of want my book boyfriend to have a bit more depth and to think the world of their one true love and whatnot.
Payton on the other hand was just so wishy washy. She had no backbone and lacked spirit and I just couldn't get into it. Not liking either character, made the romance hard to stomach. It was very meh. They jumped straight from not liking one another to all over each other to being married and it lacked any kind of development beyond that. The time skips didn't work well and the romance suffered for it.
Then about halfway through the plot just fell apart on me. I did like the inclusion of Mick Brockman being asked to help but it never really went anywhere. I thought I'd get some scenes with him and Paige and conversation or protection or something but it never eventuated.
The plot moved fast but it wasn't overly coherent and I struggled to finish. It's not my favourite PAVAD book, but I am looking forward to the next one with Paige and Mick. 2 stars.

Luc is a millionaire who can buy anything he needs except the woman he is falling in love with. He is lonely and surrounds himself with bodyguards. Her has one true friend in Cody and has suddenly taking a liking to Payton and has a sister who he hard yet yo inform her exists.
All of those dynamics change in one way or another when Luc and two other lives are at stake because he has disrupted a human trafficking ring.
The ramifications stretch wide in regard to the trafficking ring and his relationships with three special woman.
Calls J Brooks has written a strong novel with "Redeeming." A novel with strong characters and a varied and faced paced storyline with some twists and turns a!long the way.

Paige finds a long lost brother! Payton finds a lover in that dark, dangerous and long lost brother. They become involved in the hunt for human traffickers...danger follows. recommend read in order

this book has so much going on that I never noticed until I reread it. Love it and if there were more than 5 stars this book would get it.
