Hello! And thanks for checking out my books! I've written two mystery novels so far. My first, Dead Locked, is about Imogen Bell who works for a team of underwater archaeologists and ends up embroiled in a deadly treasure hunt. My second mystery, The Jester's Apprentice, is about Philippa, a woman caught between her new husband Edric and his smoky past - and hers.
I've always loved mysteries, even in elementary school. My mother raised me on TV show reruns like Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, and Magnum, P.I, and later I picked up her Agatha Christie addiction.
However, sometimes I just want a hot (but intelligent) guy and a strong woman bantering for pages. Or a gripping action sequence. Or some fun sci-fi/fantasy elements. And sometimes I want it all in the same book. So with mystery as the backbone of my stories, I blend in romance, action, adventure, and soon sci-fi to keep it fresh and exciting.
Why should you take a chance on my books? Well, I write what I'm passionate about, and I'm passionate about people and mysteries. I make my characters passionate too: about each other, about what they're hunting, fixing, or piecing together. Above all, I want my readers to have fun, and leave happy!
In this book Bennet and Belinda are having issues as the last case Bennett took the fall for what happened to Belinda and the two are sort of fighting about it. Also Belinda's grandmother throws an ultimatum at Belinda which has her even reeling more.
In the beginnning of the book is a dead body which seems to be the case with every cozy book. The victim Elena was found dead at one of the houses she cleans for a living and Belinda gets contacted by a local news reporter to help snoop around to find out what is going on, also with a hint of something about another reason that Bennett retired from the police force then just what Belinda knows.
Upon investigating the situation she learns more about the victim then she knew and about a rash of stolen property being takin from their owners when Belinda catches a burgular in her own house and finds her cameo stolen now Belinda is taking some of the situation seriously. Who is stealing from people and what do they hope to gain? And how is this connected to the dead girl Elena?
This book was so much fun with it's ups and downs, and finding out if Belinda and Bennett would stop running in circles around each other and just get on the same page. I loved this story it had so much going on. A nosy reporter, a stubborn matriarch grandmother, hidden secrets! Definitely a great adventure for those who love cozy mysteries!

This is the third novel in the series Belinda and Bennett Mysteries but it can be read as a standalone, maybe reading the first two are clearer certain bonds but even so it is very understandable (I have not yet read the first two but I hope to do so soon ). Bennett was arrested, is no longer in police and is having trouble finding work, while Belinda is very busy with the new business. Participate together at a wedding of a relative of Belinda and her whole family is hostile to the new boy especially her grandmother. While they are coming back together by marriage see an accident and a dead girl. The victim is called Elena and she was a cleaning lady and she was killed before being invested. She had problems with drugs as a young woman. A reporter tries successfully to Belinda involved in the investigation.
It 's a book rich, compelling and entertaining where nothing is missing: a grandmother very intrusive and authoritarian, a nosy journalist, a murder full of secrets and a troubled love story. Must-read for those who love the cozy mystery
This is my first book by Amy Saunders and i will be adding the other two in the series to my reading list. I loved the story plot and Belinda is a fantastic character to follow. I wasn't sure how it was going to go in the first few pages but once I really delved into the story and got to know Belinda I wanted to read it to the end. Belinda is faced with all sorts of issues but the one that has her ending up in places she wouldn't normally find herself , is the one she is trying to solve before she is the next murder victim.
