4.75⭐️… Once you start you won’t want to stop!
Author L. Williams offers up a well-written dark romance that builds suspense and obsession in the most delicious way. Two/Face explores self-discovery and navigating between the pull and thrill of the darker places, people and experiences versus the path most frequently travelled— the safer option, that which is deemed “right”- correct. It’s a slippery slope for FMC Summer, a survivor whose morality is taunted and tempted; someone achingly relatable to those of us who have walked that tightrope.
There’s mystery, underworld mafia violence, masked stalker vibes, a detective I’d happily spread those pages for— Bhodi, and the kind of character development that has me hook line and sinker gagging for more. Did I mention the spice and bondage? Oh… and let’s not forget there's a lil touch her and 💀 to keep things juicy.
Lucy, you had me from page one and shook me ‘til the cliffhanger ending. Adore your work Lady Boss!🖤

this book was very easy to get swept up in. Had a good fast paced feel to it. Check trigger warnings as it has some dark contents and spice. Spice was about a 4/5 🌶️ for me. The book flowed very well and although I found the plot twist of who two/face is extremely predictable ( knew by page 17) it didn’t take away from enjoying the read. Has a mix of pov which I liked and it felt like I was flying through. The story is about a woman named summer who is going to NY to sort out her father’s funeral arrangements while also getting away from her abusive fiancé. But when she gets to NY she faces a whole boat load of problems. But she also meets a masked man named two/face 🤭🤭 there was a few discriptions that didn’t quite make scene to me but didn’t effect me being able to enjoy the story and a few times where I wanted to jump into the book and give summer a shake and be like girl use your brain lol. But overall This book is good for those wanting a spicy dark romance that’s fast paced. Looking forward to jumping into part 2 of the duet 😍

Don't mind me crying like a baby while I get the words out for this review. Not only did I love everything about this story by the beautiful @l.williams_author but I can't even begin to express to you the emotional attachment I now have with this amazing work of art. To say I had a rough weekend would be an understatement which resulted in a lot of lost sleep. Riddled with anxiety and uncontrollable emotion my only outlet was reading this book. It helped me through one of the roughest nights of my life, establishing itself as my most prized possession.
The story opens up with Summer struggling with a relationship that a lot of women have been victims to as well as hearing the news that her father was murdered. Summer escapes the clutches of her abusive fiance and goes to New York to focus on her father's investigation as well as handling his affairs. Cue Detective Bhodi 🥵
If sex, leather, and whiskey could be curated into a man, he is that man. Dripping in sex appeal, Detective Bhodi is a tempting little snack that Summer finds herself sinking her teeth into on more than one occasion, regardless of Two/Face's jealous warnings to stay away from him.
Who is Two/Face you ask? Just an unknown man cloaked in darkness with his own personal black mask to match. We love a dark romance masked stalker with murderous tendencies 😈
Summer battles her pull towards both of these men all while trying to navigate the murder of her father and escaping the clutches of her abusive ex who follows her to New York.
Who killed her father, who is Two/Face, why is Detective Bodhi breaking the number one rule of not sleeping with the daughter of the victim in your case? All these questions get answered but don't worry L. Williams doesn't miss the chance to show us just how evil her dark little mind can be because she ends this dark, criminal mystery romance on a fucking cliffhanger. That just means we get another one!!!!! 😊

Wow, this was a amazing read. It was tense, gripping, it was plot heavy! I powered through the book so fast, i couldn't put it down.
From the first page i was sucked in, there was twists and turns, the spice was great. I loved the suspense element.
The MMC is chefs kiss, i loved Summers character development and their chemistry was instant.
This book is a hidden gem, its past expectations, and some.
That ending though, i need that next book, like now.
A super easy 5 star read for me, this needs to be on everyone's radar, and be on everyone's TBR.

What happens when light and dark collide? You get an unexpected surprise. Two/ Face is full of twist and turns that leave you on edge. It’s suspenseful, sexy, sinful, jaw dropping and will have you wanting more. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end!

The way I ate this book up… giiiiirl, lemme tell you!🍴🤤 I was hooked from the very beginning all the way until the end! I couldn’t get enough, and I enjoyed every single second of it.😍 This book is fast paced, gripping, suspenseful, filled with twists and turns. Then add some spicy, mystery, violence, obsession, and a masked stalker.. *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻

Once I started reading this, I didn’t want to put it down!
The more I read, the more I had to continue and when I wasn’t reading this book, I found myself thinking about it a lot.
I’m the type of inquisitive person who annoyingly spoils the plot of things for herself. I thought I knew what the twist was quite early on but credit to the author - she had me questioning it with every chapter!
This was a really enjoyable read, the plot was different with lots of drama and spice. I loved the characters and can’t wait to read the next book.
Would definitely recommend.

ABSOLUTELY loved this book, my god. There was so much tension, and suspense with Two/Face, Summer and HARRY?? He can get fucked bro. I don’t think I’ve hated a man more, my god what a convinning and evil human being.

Oh man, what can I say except I love this book! There's spice, mystery, violence, obsession and I was along for the ride. This is a must for lovers of dark romance.
Two Face is a Dark Romance that has an unhinged masked stalker, the Mafia, a sexy detective and a beautiful survivor in the middle of it all. I related to Summer's confusion of doing what she should do versus what she wants to do. Detective Bhodi's backstory explains a lot about the development of his character and had me wanting to give him a big bear hug. As the book got close to the end, I found myself wishing for more and more chapters to read. Spoiler* it ends on a cliffhanger. Over all this was a great read with spice and mystery. Excited to read the second book Summer Time soon.

I love this book! The suspence, the twists, the balance between right and wrong. The magnatic pull between the main characters. The build up in the book. It all was well balanced and written perfectly.
The way Summer fights for herself after the death of her father. The mystery around his death. And the involvement off her peace off sh*t ex.
Two/face: The perfect mix off right and wrong. The perfect bad boy/ good boy. Protective, obsessive and very dangerous.
And to add to the mix is detective Bodhi. Good with darkness deep within. A bit unpredictoble but you really love him you just have just like you just have to love Two/Face.
This book was amazing and more than worth reading.The cliffhanger damn i hated that one. But it means part two will be there and i need a part two.

I first came across Fallen/Raine on social media back in August and instantly added it to my TBR. A few days ago, I finally picked it up… only to realise the characters actually first appear in Two/Face. Naturally, I had to start at the beginning - or in this case, the first duet. And oh my lord… it was bloody worth it!
This book was released in October 2024, and I honestly cannot understand why it hasn’t blown up yet. Why on earth do some overhyped books get all the attention while this absolute gem doesn’t? It deserves every bit of hype - and I’ll die on this hill.
Summer is a survivor of DA, and that’s a brutal, heavy subject. I’ve read about it, I’ve watched documentaries, and sadly it’s far too common, often tied in with other kinds of abuse. Summer has been through hell, and her fear practically bleeds off the page when it comes to Harry. I hated him from the very start 😡. In fact, the only male side character I despise more is Ryan from Shallow River - and for the exact same bloody reason. Every time Harry smirked, I wanted to strangle him through the pages. I’m honestly delighted he got what he deserved.
As the chapters go on, you see Summer slowly finding herself - growing stronger and more confident. That’s exactly what she needs. I’ve never been in her situation, not like this, so I can’t say what I’d do. But as a reader, there were moments I just wanted to shake her and say, “Wake up, unleash that inner beast!” I’ve got a strong feeling she’ll return as a proper badass in book two.
Then there’s Bodhi. Oh, Bodhi. I just wanted to hug him throughout the whole story. He’s a sharp-minded copper who knows when something doesn’t add up. He clocked straightaway that Summer’s dad’s murder wasn’t as simple as it seemed - there’s a bigger secret, a bigger fish. He knows the justice system often does fuck all (and trust me, I know that too), but unlike me, he’s the type to take matters into his own hands. He’s someone I’d trust with my life - and probably fall for, too.
And then we’ve got Two/Face - stalking Summer, helping her, tormenting her just enough to keep her on edge. Honestly, I get why it was so easy for her to fall for him. By about 45% in, I had my suspicions about who he was, and by 52% I was certain. And I wasn’t disappointed - everything just clicked beautifully.
The writing style? Brilliant. I loved how L. Williams made me genuinely care about these characters, to the point where I never once doubted their choices (well… maybe Summer once or twice, but she redeemed herself later). The storytelling pulled me right into the pages like a ghost drifting through the scenes.
But I have to say this, and I mean it: HOW DARE YOU end the book on such a massive cliffhanger?! 😤 That’s criminal behaviour. The only thing saving me is that I can dive straight into book two tomorrow, so I’m not completely losing my mind. (Although now I’m wondering… should I start Fallen/Raine next? Is it a duet too? Am I going to smash my head against a wall if that one ends on a cliffhanger as well?!)
My suggestion? READ THIS BOOK. You won’t regret it.

I’m not even lying when I say I was hooked after the first 20 pages and devoured it in under 3 hours.
Summer Harper has been trapped in an abusive relationship with her fiancée and nobody seems to want to help her, including her own mother and stepfather. When she receives news her father, who lives in New York, has been murdered Summer uses the opportunity to escape. Helping police with their investigations she soon realises the life she ran from is quickly catching up with her, but with a detective and a mysterious masked man watching over her, she should be safe right?
Bhodi Grey is a detective in the NYPD assigned to investigate the murder of Michael Harper. After an interview Summer ends up in the hospital and when a nurse alerts detectives to her historic bruises, Bhodi starts digging into the life Summer has run from and it isn’t long before he breaks his number 1 policing rule.
Two/Face, our mysterious masked man. As soon as Summer arrives in New York he is watching over her. He reveals he knew her father and is trying to look out for her. He warns her to stay away from Bhodi, however she doesn’t listen and soon his obsession with Summer takes a spicy and dark turn.
I loved how fast paced this book was and all of the twists and turns along the way! Summer’s character development was brilliant, the spice was 🤌🏼 and who doesn’t love a mysterious masked man with murder on his mind? The chemistry between Summer and Bhodi is instant, but not sure whether Two/Faced’s jealousy can be contained…but will that even matter?
I had a feeling quite early on about the big reveal towards the end of the book and I loved it! I have so many questions that I am jumping straight into Book 2 (thank you for the ARC copy).

I devoured this book! I read Two/Face in the first day of reading, and I also went to work and out for dinner, that's how much I was glued to it in between 😅 I couldn't get enough!
It is a DARK romance, and I mean dark 🖤 if that is your thing, you'll love this!
The FMC goes through a lot, and there are so many twists & turns. She's a survivor and a fighter, and I love her! 🫶🏼
Is the MMC a beyond morally grey character that should scare you and someone who you'd avoid in real life? Absolutely. Do you love him and pray for a happy ending anyway? Abso-f*cking-lutely!❤️
There was always some drama, action, or twist happening to keep you hooked. It had great side characters that I also loved. It was really well written, and I love multiple POV 😁

You can get and read them separately, but I read the combined version, and I'm really glad I did because even then, I wanted more! 😍
I devoured this book! I read Two/Face in the first day of reading, and I also went to work and out for dinner, that's how much I was glued to it in between 😅 I couldn't get enough!
It is a DARK romance, and I mean dark 🖤 if that is your thing, you'll love this!
The FMC goes through a lot, and there are so many twists & turns. She's a survivor and a fighter, and I love her! 🫶🏼
Is the MMC a beyond morally grey character that should scare you and someone who you'd avoid in real life? Absolutely. Do you love him and pray for a happy ending anyway? Abso-f*cking-lutely!❤️
There was always some drama, action, or twist happening to keep you hooked. It had great side characters that I also loved. It was really well written, and I love multiple POV 😁

I loved this book so much it was such an easy read.

Seriously what more can you want from a dark romance story?
The plot was also really good and I loved that about this book as sometimes I feel like the plot lacks in dark romance books due to spice being the main focus but this had just the right amount of spice right amount of plot-heavy hitting topics I ate this up so fast. I can't wait to read some works from this author.
The only negative side I feel is I guess who the stalker was quite early on but saying that I still ate it up and enjoyed every little breadcrumbs the stalker was giving. Towards the end, my heart was pounding and I was on the edge of my seat I 6 downloaded the second book immediately after finishing this book.
The plot had me hooked from the begging until the end.

If you liked Haunting Adeline, then definitely give this a go. It's a really good mix of dark romance and thriller.
Two/Face is the perfect morally grey MMC, I absolutely adored him! Yes, he's a Stalker. Yes, he unalives people, and yes, he does some very questionable things, but I can't help it, I have a soft spot for buy guys!
Bhodi is the other MMC, and he is clearly scarred from his past, but you can't help but fall for him.
There are some dark topics, and Summer (our MFC) really has been through some awful things, so please read the TW's before going in.

Including a bad boy with his demeanor being possessive, obsessive, and dark, always count me in! This book had me drawn to the story and development of the entire thing.
The characters in it were all so unique and each one had enough focus within the story. I didn’t feel like i needed more of each person. It was perfect. However, you do get that cliffhanger that will make you go to the next book right away. Summer and Bhodi were perfect.

This book was such a wild ride, there was so much going on, so many characters to get to know and love! But the twists and turns had me feeling like I was on a ride and I didn't want to get off, I couldn't put this book down I was so into the plot and the drama. I loved the two main characters and their back stories, I especially enjoyed reading from detective Bodhi's perspective! Overall this was such a good book and I absolutely loved it!

I could not put this down!! So happy to have found a new author!
After not picking up a book for a while I thought I’d give a new genre and author a go, and oh my god I’m hooked!! This is so well written and the characters draw you into their world. I could not put this down and I finished it in one weekend. I am now obsessed and can not wait for the next one. If you are looking for an exciting read then look no further!! Perfect for dark romance lovers who like masked MMCs and stalker vibes with a little “touch her and die.”Two/Face was such a fun read, it kept me guessing and also furious for Summer, every mention of Harry’s abusive ass just riled me up and made me want every bad thing for him. Detective Grey (Bodhi) is certainly snackable and Two/Face unforgettable. Well done!

Really liked this book honestly. Relatively easy read and for me at least nothing too dark. The masked identity was pretty easy to figure out but the author did well to throw the scent off a few times. And the ending??? Straight into book two (it's 1am dammit)

We have Bhodi who is a Cop and a masked vigilante - we love masked men and he’s a killer cop but only kills bad people? We can absolutely accept it!
He knew what he wanted and went for it while being so protective and caring of Summer.
Summer was trying to mourn and was dragged into it by her ‘ex fiancé’ Harry - we don’t like Harry obviously but you will read why.
I enjoyed this as it gave me a bit of detective, bit spicy, masked men, mafia vibes and I was soooo here for it!
Now for part 2.

I went into this duet semi blind and it was so much more than I thought. This book had everything I love, from masks to possessive mmc, maybe a little….light…..stalking. AND I ATE IT UP!!! It was worth every second.
