A love that doesn't hurt continues the love story between Viraj and Anvipriya. Their love was once easy until the day he disappeared. Now, Anvipriya is haunted by a ghost as she learns to navigate life without Viraj.

Bhawana Chilwal has written a beautiful story of young love that ends abruptly and the aftermath that follows. Their love was all-consuming, and he burnt her in the worst way possible, leaving without a word creating a void that only he could fill. I loved the raw emotion and passion that the characters portrayed. He was trying to save her from his darkness, even though he was lost without her he was willing to die to keep her safe. She was willing to go to the ends of the earth for him regardless of how his darkness would impact her. I loved reading A Love That Doesn't Hurt, it's a beautiful love story about two people from very different worlds where everyone is working to keep them apart including themselves.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

HAPPY RELEASE DAY! 🎉✨

“A Love That Doesn’t Hurt” is a deeply emotional journey of heartbreak, healing, and the complexities of second chances. Bhawana Chilwal beautifully captures the raw and vulnerable sides of love—the pain of betrayal, the weight of unresolved emotions, and the hope that lingers despite it all.

Avipriya’s determination to uncover the truth and Viraj’s quiet sacrifice tugged at my heartstrings. The tension between them is palpable, with moments that had me rooting for them while questioning if they could truly overcome their past. I loved the slow-burn romance—it felt natural and well-paced, drawing me into their world.

The themes of family drama and emotional conflict added depth, creating a story that isn’t just about love but also about growth and resilience. While I adored the romantic suspense, there were moments where I wished for a bit more insight into Viraj’s inner struggles, but overall, it didn’t detract from my enjoyment.

This book isn’t just about finding love—it’s about finding a love that heals. A solid 4.5/5 for me, and I can’t wait to read more from Bhawana Chilwal.

Add this to your TBR and support the author! This is a must-read for the holidays ✨

Merry Christmas to y'all! 🎀🎁✨

I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This is a new to me author. This is the second book in the Shades of Love series. It is a second chance closed door (kisses only) romance book. This book is also the second book to Viraj and Avipriya love story. Viraj left Avipriya two years ago leaving her and himself heartbroken. She doesn’t know why he left her but over time she will find out. This book had a lot of family drama and suspense. It you know me I love a book with romance and suspense so I was excited about this. This is one of those books that makes you realize with true love you can overcome anything. Sometimes things have to get bad before they get better. I was so excited about finally reading a book with a biker MMC and this did not disappoint. I do believe I went through every emotion while reading this book. I now have to go back to read the first book as I think it will help me understand this book better and possibly give me a higher star rating on this book. This book ends on a cliffhanger so I can’t wait to read the next one.

This story follows Avipriya—a sweet college student—and Viraj—the man who broke her heart. Avipriya, seeking answers about Viraj’s disappearance from her life, is drawn into a world of secrets and violence. Their reunion is tested by both the past and present dangers, testing the limits of their possibility for a relationship.
This book was good and kept me entertained. I will be reading the rest of the series. I liked how complex the main characters were and the story had a lot of unexpected turns that kept you on your toes. The only complaint I have is that I was a bit confused by how some events were laid out, but that didn’t get in the way of the story.

First off thank you Bhawana Chilwal for allowing me to read an ARC copy of your book, it was a really good read and I can’t wait for more!

This was a really intriguing novel with plot and romance, mixed with some deception and mysteries along the way! It was a bit darker book then I’ve read before personally, but I quite enjoyed it, what with the murder, stalking and talk🤭 It was not spicy though, with only kisses on page, which I quite enjoyed!

Avipriya was a super sweet character, and I loved reading about her and her struggles. She was heartbroken but not whiny, and I loved how passionately she felt towards Vijay🤍

Vijay had his demons and troubles he faced, but he was written so strongly, and though seeing his pain and how he thoughts were so poetic, I absolutely loved him! He literally said in the book that he would burn the world down for Avipriya, so obviously we love him for that🤩

The writing of this story was passionate and beautiful, I could feel everything that was said throughout the novel, and I was better able to connect with the characters and feel there live and sadness through everything. Even without having read the first book, which did make things a little confusing at the start, I was able to understand the plot and characters, and what had happened through their lives.

Overall it was a super enjoyable read, and I’m really excited to read the next book and find further into the mystery’s that were revealed⭐️

A love that doesn’t hurt
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you so much Bhawana for the opportunity to ARC read for you!! This is my first book of theirs that I have read and I was very engaged and captivated throughout the whole read.

This is book two of her shades of love series, thankfully she said it was completely okay to read this book without reading book one, but I may sometime this year go back and read book one when I have that time because I enjoyed her writing a lot.

Avipriya and Viraj were both so inlove with eachother that being apart hurt them both. This whole book was a battle for each character, Avi was navigating life without viraj but it was difficult for her and viraj was trying to keep her away from his own darkness and his life.

I was nose deep in this book just wanting to continue and continue to see what happens next (but unfortunately had to pause for a good second when I got concussed LOLOL) but this book was beautiful. Two completely different worlds who find each other and never want to let go ever again. This also showed me how with true love you can truly fight and work through anything if you want it and things can get bad before they get better. I was in awe.
Thank you for the opportunity to be an ARC reader for your book. I am looking forward to your future work!

Wow!! This book has been a rollercoaster but in a very good way. This book follows Viraj and Avipriya and how their love is tested as they find their way back to each other.

It shows what happens when Viraj leaves for two years and the length he would go to get back to that love that could make him burn the world to get back. It shows how much he loves Avipriya and how their love has shaped their lives forever.

I will definitely have to read the prior book to get the back story. But this book has made me cry, be happy, be angry, and many other emotions.

"A LOVE THAT DOESN'T HURT BY BHAWANA CHILWAL"

Rating: 3.8

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Pov: Dual pov

This is the Second book of the series "Shades of Love" where the first book being 'His second first Love'.

This is a story of a couple, not just a simple love story, but more like a struggle to keep up the requited Love. The FMC, Avipriya, being lost and completely in chaos about Viraj The MMC who is disappeared all of sudden. Telling herself that she moved on, but in real something is stopping her, The MMC, Viraj, who's trying to stay away from her and is going to marry another girl

Will Avipriya find her Love?

Did Viraj cheat in her?

How's destiny played the part in their story?

Pace: I personally felt the middle chapters are pretty slow, could have been better by telling the story rather than describing it, Appreciating the author for the start and end chapters, the way they were written keeping us hooked.

Most Favourite line: "There's no love that doesn't hurt. The one who's not willing to hurt isn't willing to love. And I love you."

ARC REVIEW-:

This book continues Viraj and Avipriya’s incomplete journey from the first book. Avipriya is struggling with her emotions after Viraj’s sudden disappearance when a stranger unexpectedly enters her life, revealing something that threatens to shatter all her hopes. He claims to help her uncover the truth and find the answers she seeks. Unable to resist, she decides to go along with him, unaware of the challenges that lie ahead.

I absolutely loved the suspense and thrill in this book, along with the intense push-and-pull dynamic between the characters. The author has shown significant improvement in writing compared to the previous book, and I’m so happy to see that growth. I don’t know how to say more without giving away spoilers, but I have to admit—I think I love Kirill more than Viraj in this one. Viraj is great, but some of his actions didn’t sit well with me. I can't wait to read Kirill and Kavya’s story, as well as Agneya and Tista’s!

There were moments that were hard to digest and gave me countless mini heart attacks, but did I enjoy them to the fullest? Did I laugh my heart out? Yes and yes! I was completely hooked and couldn’t stop reading. If I hadn’t been struggling with time at that moment, I’m sure I would have finished it in one sitting. Some parts left me confused at times, but it was all worth it. Not to mention, Miss Bhawana was there to explain things to me the whole time!

However, I will never forgive her for that ending—it left me with even more questions than the first book! But maybe I will, since I already have the next book in the series, who knows. I just hope she doesn’t play with my emotions again.

If you’re looking for a romance novel filled with intense love, second chances, mystery, and thrill, you should definitely read this one! (But make sure to read the first book in the series before starting this—it’s not a standalone.)

What will you do if you find yourself amid love and heartbreak? At one point, all you feel is love, but on the other hand, the heartbreak reminds you of the time you got hurt. What will you choose? to let go, or never give up?
Avipriya had her heart broken by the one love she cherished the most, but he went far away. She was lost, but soon enough, a ray of hope ignites when a stranger comes to her and tells her about Viraj, the love of her life. The quest to get the love back begins, but it's never easy. The road to love, betrayal, jealousy, winning back, and much more awaits Avipriya and Viraj.
We are able to see deeper aspects of Viraj, the things he went through, why he was the way he was, what his past was, and what not. New characters are introduced, and we see Avipriya in a new light as well.
The chemistry between Avipriya and Viraj was just wonderful. A lot of cozy moments were there, making me giggle.
Things I want to point out.
There were a few jumps, a sudden change that felt could have been explained a bit better. But then the overall story wasn't affected at all. More curious about the third book now.
My fav scene-
When Viraj and Avipriya were eating and Avipriya was being picky and removing tomatoes from her food. Viraj sings for her to have her eat her tomatoes. "Aha tamatar bade mazedar, waah tamatar bade mazedar"
It was my favorite scene as it was not only funny but also cozy.
Wonderfully written. Definitely recommended to all Romance lovers who love clean, cozy Romance.

What would you do if you found yourself torn between love and heartbreak?
When one side of your heart aches with memories of pain, and the other still beats with love—do you let go or hold on tighter?

Avipriya had her heart shattered by the one person she loved most—Viraj. He left, and with him, her world dimmed. But just as she's learning to live with the ache, a stranger appears with news that reignites hope: Viraj isn’t as far as she thought. And so begins her journey to reclaim love.

But love is never simple.

Avipriya’s path is filled with twists—betrayal, jealousy, old wounds, and second chances. As the story unfolds, we dive deeper into Viraj’s past, uncovering the layers that shaped him. New characters bring fresh energy and reveal new sides to Avipriya as well, making the story richer and more emotionally resonant.

The chemistry between Avipriya and Viraj is simply heartwarming. Their cozy, lighthearted moments often made me smile—and sometimes laugh out loud.

A favorite moment?
Definitely the dinner scene—Avipriya, being picky, removes tomatoes from her food. Viraj, ever the charmer, sings, “Aha tamatar bade mazedar, waah tamatar bade mazedar,” just to convince her. It was cute, funny, and so full of love.

There were a few abrupt transitions where I wished for a bit more detail or explanation, but they didn’t take away from the overall experience.

A beautifully written story—clean, cozy, and romantic. A must-read for anyone who loves stories that warm the heart. Can’t wait for book three!

📖✨ Book Review: A Love That Doesn't Hurt by Bhawana Chilwal

🌟 Rating: 4/5

A Love That Doesn't Hurt is the second book in Bhawana Chilwal’s series, following His Second First Love. This story revolves around Viraj and Avipriya, two characters whose love is deeply tested by unexpected circumstances.

Viraj disappears for two years and ends up forced into a marriage with someone. The book explores what happened during those two years, why Viraj made the choices he did, and how much he truly loves Avipriya. It’s an emotional journey that dives into his dark side and reveals the lengths he’s willing to go for his love.

The author has perfectly connected the first book to this one, making it a seamless continuation. The ending leaves you on a perfect cliffhanger, making me eager to see where their story goes next.

My favorite quote from the book is:
"I miss you like the wound misses the knife, like fire misses the match, but I know the moment I have you, I'll bleed, and you'll burn."

This book will be published on December 25th, the shared birthday of both Avipriya and the author herself—a perfect tribute! 🎂✨

If you loved His Second First Love, this one is a must-read. Bhawana Chilwal’s storytelling is captivating and emotional, pulling you into Viraj and Avipriya’s world.

Viraj is being blackmailed and forced by his ex Kavya with a powerful family to marry her, so he has to leave his gf Avipriya just to keep her safe. For two years, Avipriya not knowing why he left, make a deal with his rival Kirill, a Russian typhoon’s son to help her get Viraj back while he want Kavya.
This book is full of family drama, suspence, mystery with romance. Honestly I prefer Kirill more than viraj because he seem like fun guy who could be serious when needed to be.
It didn’t have spice , just few kissing scene. While reading it I could imagine it as a movie. It would be fun to watch. The cliffhanger in scene make me wanting more, I am excited for the next book in the series. Viraj family give me such headache, I hope those guy get what they deserved.
It was a little confusing at some point but you can read it as standalone as author explain the parts in story. But i would recommend to read first one to know more about character’s relationship as the book continue story from first book.

This is the story of Viraj and Avipriya, they are in love with each other, but their story is far from easy. Avipriya is sweet and innocent and she is madly in love with Viraj, but he comes from a difficult family and he is involved in shady businesses and he is not yet fully available to be with her.

I found this book very different from what I used to read because of the setting and the cultural differences. I enjoyed the beautiful writing, almost poetic at some points. The romance is a bit dark, because Viraj is very possessive, but there are no steamy scenes, only passionate kissing. To me, one word describes their relationship: intense!

This is the second book of the series, but even without reading the first I could understand the background of the characters.

Overall, I enjoyed this reading and can not wait to know what happens next. Avipriya deserves her happy ending.

I I received and ARC edition from the author.

🥀 Review:

🥀Bhawana Chilwal’s "A Love That Doesn't Hurt," the sequel to His Second First Love, delves deeper into the tumultuous relationship between Avipriya and Viraj. This romantic suspense novel intertwines themes of love, betrayal, and redemption, captivating readers with its emotional depth and intricate plot.

🥀The narrative maintains a steady pace, keeping readers invested in the unfolding drama. However, some may observe inconsistencies in character motivations, or that certain character developments may appear abrupt without sufficient context.

Raw portrayal of emotions, seamlessly blending past and present narratives is the highlight of this novel, encapsulating the essence of the protagonists' journey, their struggles and the intensity of their bond.

🥀While the book is listed under "Love Triangle Romance," a more accurate genre would be "Romantic Suspense". Bhawana's descriptive writing style effectively paints vivid scenes, immersing readers in the story's settings and emotional landscapes.

Beware grammar police - minor grammatical errors and typos, though not too distracting, are still present in the book.

🥀Overall - A Love That Doesn't Hurt offers a poignant exploration of love's complexities, marked by heartfelt moments and suspenseful twists. Bhawana Chilwal crafts a narrative that resonates with readers, making it a worthy read for fans of emotionally charged romantic tales.

🥀Notable Line: “Do you feel that? The way I burn for you? My heart is burning, I am burning! Now answer me before I turn to ashes.”✨️

Note: For a more immersive experience, consider reading the prequel, His Second First Love, to fully appreciate the depth of Avipriya and Viraj's story.

🥀VERDICT: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5)
