Book 2 of this insane trilogy was so damn good. So much more action, suspense, and the spice was even spicier. Wrath, Twisted, and Kill are fucking hot. 🔥🥵
The first half of the book Sofie goes through a lot. Yet she didn't break.
Honestly she's just the ultimate badass.
She's set on revenge and gets it, with some help...that she didn't ask for.
The tension between her and Wrath is intense. So good.

I couldn't get enough of this book and the continued path of destruction to revenge sofie is after.

Can't wait for book 3.

Thank you Tea Spangsberg for the arc ☺️🫶🏻

Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶

It took me a bit to get through this book only because it has been a hectic month for me but OMG being able to savour this was amazing!

Sofie is such a badass FMC, I just love her to death. I feel like there’s not many truly badass female characters out there that stay true to that. Sofie never disappoints. She’s here to destroy the houses and her revenge is just 👌🏽 *chefs kiss*

The love triangle between her, Kill, and Wrath is just 😍 I want to hate Wrath but I love a morally grey man so I just can’t. Kill has the softest heart and I love that in his own way, he brings them three together despite everything that happened.

The plot is intense and the twists and turns are exciting! If I did have the time, I probably would’ve devoured it so fast. I cannot highly recommend this series enough. It’s a perfect mix of fantasy, romance, and action/adventure.

I am SOOOO looking forward to the third book and I honestly cannot wait!

I’ve read this book and the first in two days. Absolutely addicted to this series and the authors work. Make sure you sign up for Tea’s newsletter for a prequel novel in this series.

This book is heavy on the torture aspect and may be upsetting to some readers but it really sets up the dynamics between characters. I love how Sofie, Kill, and Wrath are all basically fighting against their own feelings. They may feel one way, but past/present actions of their love interests makes it hard to act on feelings alone. I was very happy with the progression of romance between Sofie and Wrath. I was hoping for a love triangle situation but what we ended up with was even better. I will say that Sofie forgave Kill for his actions a little quicker than I would have liked. I genuinely was ticked with his character for a portion of this book. He’s not my favorite, but I’m glad we got more of Wrath in this book. The ending of this novel has me thinking we will be seeing more of Wrath and Sofie together. I love how Sofies plans for bringing down those that harmed her mother has transformed into taking down the houses and making the city a better place for all those that are abused. As always I love a strong female character and that’s exactly what Sofie brings to the table. Can’t wait for the next novel!

Wowee! This book is not for the light-hearted. If you want a fun, easy read, you won't find it here! But don't take this to say I didn't absolutely love this book~ I'm just warning you~

Sophie and Kill find themselves in a life threatening situation that also puts their relationship in deep water. Wrath is on a war path.

The title of this book does not lie. I was holding on to my tablet so hard to the point I thought I might break it. I devoured this book. First through my beta read, then again through my ARC reread! The beginning is a dark, gory whirlwind of wtf is happening, and the end... Get it girl! The spice in this book is sooo 🔥 🥵. We love a good why choose over here~

I can't wait to see what happens in book 3, I especially want to know one thing: WHAT IS IN THE BOX? Tea! You need to tell me! Just drop it in my DMs if you want. I can keep a secret...

I received an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

A continuation of the *darkest* book I have ever read- this one is absolutely darker than the first! The first half met my mind's imagination page by page in the best way. The second half soothed it while also surprising me. The very end though *chef's kiss*. Looking forward to the third book!

I absolutely devoured this book. Magically written by the author. I couldn't put it down. It's been a while since I read a book so quickly. It is a dark romantasy book. You just have to read it. If you haven't read the book first, you must do so first. You can't read this without having read A Dance of Lies and Lust, which is just as good.

The last part won't come until next year. It will be tough to wait that long.

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your team Tea. ❤️

MUST READ BOOK 1 FIRST!!

*Possible Spoilers*

Holy Moly! This book was CRAZY!! Crazy good! Wrath is not playing around what so ever!! He is a sadistic mother fer. He wants answers and there isn’t anything he isn’t willing to do to get them. This book is dark and twisted. The first few chapters are pure torture and suffering. Then of course Sofie being the bad ass she is, shows who she truly is. Sofie wants revenge and she continues to do so all through out book two. She’s tough, and nothing will stop her from her end game. She uses Kill, to help get what she wants, but Kill can’t decide between Sofie and Wrath. Let’s just say, this book gets hot and steamy. It’s everything you would want and more!

Of course book 2 ends on another cliff hanger 😫 but it just makes me want book 3 ever more!!

To give you a sense of just how much I was hooked, I tore through books one and two in a single day—staying up until 5 a.m. devouring A Tale of Betrayal and Sins because I couldn’t tear myself away.

This series is electrifying, gritty, and hands-down one of the most thrilling Dark Romances I’ve ever read. Be sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in—this book pulls no punches and delves into some seriously intense themes.

From the very first page, A Tale of Betrayal and Sins pulled me straight into its world. Tea masterfully crafts a story brimming with rebellion, love, family, and savage intrigue. I found myself utterly immersed in the intricate politics and dangerous beauty of the Houses, rooting for, and sometimes fearing, every character. The world-building dazzles, the character arcs are flawless, the pacing is relentless, and the storytelling is simply phenomenal.

The dynamic between Sofie, Kill, and Wrath is both gut-wrenchingly painful and heartbreakingly beautiful. When Wrath seizes Kill and Sofie, determined to uncover the fate of his missing sister and nieces, he becomes a force of nature—ruthless and unyielding. His torment of Sofie is excruciating to witness, all the more so because you sense his inner struggle, his desire to protect even as he inflicts pain for the sake of his family.

After learning about the horrors Sofie suffered, I was desperate for her to claim her vengeance. Yet, seeing Wrath’s fierce protectiveness and his obsession with Sofie once the truth emerges only made me fall for him more.

Kill’s transformation in the second book is stunning. While he remains sensitive and vulnerable, his newfound confidence shines through, and it’s so rewarding to watch him step into his own, free from Jackson’s shadow.

I honestly can’t recommend this series enough—get ready for a wild, unforgettable ride!

After finishing the first book, I immediately jumped into this one—and oh my god, it was just as good, if not even better.

The first part of the book puts Sofie through a LOT (yes, all caps necessary). What happens to her is brutal, but she never breaks. She’s still the same badass I fell in love with, maybe even more so now. Honestly, she’s one of the most badass characters I’ve ever read.

I wasn’t happy with Wrath at all for the first part of this book. I understood why he did what he did, but still—did he go overboard? Oh, absolutely. Is he still my shadow daddy? Also yes. 😅

Killian remains the soft-hearted, sweet boy I adored in book one. He is also torn between Sofie and Wrath, but still he brings Sofie and Wrath closer in such a natural way. I was a bit mad at him at one point, but honestly, I couldn’t stay mad long.

The plot is intense, packed with twists and turns, and I was so here for every bit of it. The torture scenes might not be for everyone, but I thought they were well-written and true to the story’s dark tone.

From start to finish, this book had me hooked. I loved every page.

Omg ANOTHER cliffhanger lol 😂 y’all idk what I would have done if I had to WAIT for the next book to be released! These endings have me jumping right into the next book. I’ve officially entered my 2nd day of reading and I finished the prequel and books 1 & 2! Wheeewww! It’s definitely been a steamy ride! And all the different ways! Killian is caught between the two and OH THE STRUGGLES!! If I keep going there will be spoilers so… let’s move on from the smut!

In the first (idk - maybe half) of the book my heart and soul was rooting for Sophie through the trauma that occurs. But damn if she doesn’t seem to come through in the second half stronger and even more badass than before! And ok but I have to say this… WHATS IN THE BOX?!?????? Ugghhhh book 3 here I come!!!!!

This is my honest review.

Storyline. 5/5⭐️
Characters. 5/5⭐️
🌶️. 5/5⭐️

Storyline continues to be fascinating! It has great world building and everything reads so easy. You keep turning the pages to read what happens next. Some scenes continue to be brrrr but in a good way🫣
All characters continue being steadfast in book 2. Kill finally is showing more backbone albeit on a slow pace, but that’s totally fine. All side characters round it up perfectly.
🌶️ also continues to be the right amount to not take away from the storyline. And the scenes are written nicely.

All in all a great continuation into this series!! If you haven’t read this series yet, do it! It’s really worth the time.
Now I have to wait till..? For book 3 can’t wait!!!

Book two and Sofie has not taken her foot off of anybody’s neck!

I will be honest, the beginning was kind of rough for me! I love a good TW but I was quite afraid of where it was going… but I sat tight and I’m glad I did because it’s so exciting to see how things can go from hellscape to happiness🙃

There was a lot of action in this one but I won’t delve too deep into that because of how the last book ended but I will say, A Tale of Betrayal and Sin puts pieces together and answers a lot questions that were left open from book one and I can’t wait to see how Tea brings it all together in the final book!

Again, check your triggers!

Holy moley!!! Check your triggers bc the torture is real and brutal!! This book continues Sophie's journey, and end goal that has morphed a bit as a good plot development should. She still wants revenge for every scar, tear, bit of anxiety and drop of blood spilled by the people that hurt her mother, but now there are others, there is more.

Wrath is just as focused to get answers and the 2 stubborn single minded people make the suspense and waiting all that more tense!

The cliffhanger will leave you cursing Tea Spangsberg and praying to any and all deities you believe in that book 3 comes out fast!!!

(Rounded up) 3.5⭐️ // 4🌶

This book was a wild ride, following Sofie, Kill, and Wrath as they navigate an intense relationship forged through absurd layers of trauma. The whole journey is filled with chaos and emotional turmoil. The pull and the dynamic between the characters was rather spicy and you could really see how love and hate are two sides of the same coin.

Unfortunately, the story didn’t fully click for me. I found myself needing to reread sections to understand what was happening, which disrupted the flow.

I appreciate being able to read this as an ARC.

What a Cliffhanger! 🤯
There’s gore, splatter, action, recovery (physical and mental), romance. The possessiveness of the main characters speak volumes!
These people would end the world for each other.
I love this universe the author has created! And how she can capture the feelings, after abuse and the reflections on how you want to avenge it.

-Sofie, Kill and Wrath, continue their twisted little dance around the fire. Contemplating every move & at the same time trying to take down the world & gain each others trust.

You have to read the first, to even get, a grip around the story. Just to let people know 😅

I received an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

OMG OMGGGG!!! This book has had me on the edge of my seat the entire read. Really enjoyed the writing style. Loved the character dynamic's & relationships. I mean what’s not to love? From the anger, to the lust, to the banter, to the violence. Truly a wild ride but very much worth it. Cannot wait for book 3 to wrap up this trilogy.

10/10 definitely recommend. The book does have a list of trigger warnings so please make sure to check those before diving in.

This book was amazing! I loved getting a chance to read it. There was so much happening that I didn't expect and so much that I did. I cannot wait for book 3 and the trilogy to wrap up so I can see how this story ends! I'm not ready for Kill and Sophie and Wrath to be gone but I also can't wait to see how they accomplish their goals! If you haven't read A Dance of Lies and Lust yet then RUN to read it so you can read this one ASAP😍

Second book in this series and I couldn’t put it down once I opened it!

TW heavy on this one, please read the list!!

The action and suspense in this book alone had me on the edge of my seat. That torture was insane, the action was packed, and the SPICE was delicious !!😍 The dynamic between Kill, Wrath and Sophie has evolved so well and I can’t wait to see what book three brings!

Thank you so much for the Arc opportunity !!

This second book was just as good if not just alittle better than the first. In a trilogy sometimes the middle books get weak but this powers through and delivers on the promises made in the first. This author makes you root for her characters, scoff at stupid enemies, laugh at the witty one liners, and kick your feet in glee at the spicy scenes. This books deserves a 10/10 but alas I can only give 5

Sofie. Kill. Wrath.
The messiest fucking love triangle you’ve ever encountered (emphasis on the fucking 😏)

This book had me gripped, and always wanting more!
Sofie and Wrath are both psychotic, and in the best way.
Kill is a bitch. And they wouldn’t have it any other way.

All I want to know is; what’s in the box?

I’m reading books 1 & 2 in this series in prep for book 3, that i have been given an ARC for.
this was exactly what it needed to be for book 2 in a trilogy. it filled in the gaps that left me confused from book 1 and left me very curious for the conclusion. sometimes the character rationale is questionable but i can overlook it for the plot
