In the second installment of Shelly Bell's four-part serialized erotic thriller, law student Kate Martin enters a world of dark secrets and seductive fantasies at the exclusive sex club Benediction.
Restrained by duty… Reeling from a threatening phone call and frightened that her past will be revealed, Kate turns to the one man she can still trust: Nick. She can't deny her attraction to him, yet she craves the passionate connection she has with Jaxon.
Bound by passion… Undercover at Benediction, Jaxon introduces Kate to the sensual pleasures found in exhibitionism and voyeurism. While they mingle with the club's patrons, Jaxon and Kate unearth clues about his wife Alyssa's last days that could lead them to her killer. But as she investigates further, Kate is shocked to learn of a cold case that is eerily similar to Alyssa's murder … and when the evidence ties Jaxon to yet another death, Kate begins to question everything she knows about her enigmatic lover.

I liked this segment better than the last one, not the least because
THEY MADE IT TO THE FIREWORKS FACTORY!!!!! WHOO-HOO!!!!
Yes, this is the book where the sex goes from "French Vanilla" to "Chipotle Triple-Chocolate Chunk With Habanero Mix-Ins". I have to say, Ms. Bell can write a kinky sex scene quite nicely, thank you....
The concerns I had with Ms. Bell's writing of legal/media/political issues in WC1: MERCY are still there, but they're far more backgrounded as the story becomes less about that than Kate's growing attraction to Jaxon Deveroux (despite the drumbeat insisting he murdered his wife Alyssa in a BDSM Scene Gone Wrong!), her acknowledgement of her submissive and masochistic needs, as well as her playing Kate Martin, Subbie Detective! We also get a bit more of her backstory here, though not the entire thing - which frustrates Jaxon, who wants her full trust once he's had her as a submissive. Then again, just about every man Kate meets seems to want her as their submissive, in fact if not in name! (Yeah, if what her Hunky Asshole Boss Nick Trenton said in WC1 about being "vanilla" is true, then either my MasDar™ or the author's is seriously on the fritz. Nick may not have his own dungeon, but that man is most definitely a Dom!) Even Alyssa's Sadistic Unknown Psycho Killer Dude Ex-Master desires to possess Kate as his own (as we find out in the first chapter of this book) - I daresay Our Submissive Beauty's dance card is filling right up!
"I'm a Maid Who Would Marry/ "And Would Take With No Qualm/ "Any Tom, Dick or Harry/Any Harry, Dick or Tom!"
Oh, the One Person Kate Could Trust to phone after the end of the last book's scary phone call? It's Hunky Asshole (But Not Dom, Nosiree!) Boss Nick Trenton, of course! So he spends the night, platonically (no, really!), guarding his intern - who still refuses to leave her crappy apartment in a bad part of Detroit after having the bejabbers scared out of her, despite the urging of both The Men Who Love Her, by...Someone.
At This Point, Kate's Just BEGGING To Be Hit By The Idiot Ball....
We also get to see Kate in action in a motion hearing, where she manages to hold her own quite nicely (all my snarking about her as a Gorean Counsel-In-Submission in the last book aside). I'm a little vexed that both she and the Plaintiff's (Alyssa's parents, who have a mad-on for Jaxon) Attorney use naked emotional appeals in a Motions Hearing before a judge, though, as opposed to legal interpretations and precedents. Yes, they require more research on the author's part, but while emotions can easily sway juries, if a Judge lets emotions obviously sway her or him in a ruling, that leaves the door open for an appeal - as watching a week's worth of LAW & ORDER reruns should make clear! (Not for the first time, I feel that a lawyer could make a successful sideline out of offering quick legal advice for a flat rate to writers.) Also - I wish it had been clearer that Kate is not an actual attorney yet, but a law student and intern, and somebody had commented on it and asked/explained WTF Deveroux's law firm was letting her argue a motion in a court of law.
Yes, I Do Realize That, At a Judge's Discretion, Non-Lawyers Are Sometimes Allowed to Represent Somebody Other Than Themselves in Administrative Proceedings - But That's Kind of Like a High-Powered Law Firm Using the PHOENIX WRIGHT, ACE ATTORNEY Game To Argue a Motion!
Once we get to Benediction, it's like nobody there is paying the slightest attention to the media's "PERVERT GUILTY OF KILLING HIS WIFE!" braying, except to tell him they'll do anything to help catch who really killed Alyssa. Despite "Katerina"'s extreme inexperience and "No Bondage" Hard Limit(!)
If You Have "No Bondage" As a Hard Limit, Girlfriend - Then Why Bother Playing?
to say nothing of the mask she's wearing to hide her identity - because we all know nobody can tell who you are behind a domino mask(!)
Because the Drawing of Liberty Belle Even LOOKS Just Like Amber Heard!
they manage to gather some important information about a mobster Dom into electrical play, Anthony Rinaldi - largely by the expedient of Kate breaking submissive protocol and asking questions! Jax punishes her with a quick public handspanking, then rewards her for getting the tip by making out with her - which just gets her more aroused than ever. Jax also gets really ultra-mega possessive of Kate, which she really loves (because of course she does) - even if she kind of wonders if he'll let her do a lesbian scene with another Master's subbe who keeps coming on to her!
Like a Kid in a Candy Store....
After Alyssa's funeral the next day, Kate, Jax and Nick (who doesn't seem aware that the Intern He's Hot For in His "But I'm Not a Dom!" Dom Way is getting loads of Extra Credit in her Being a Submissive Course!) talk to Jax's former neighbor about her daughter's death some years back. Something
Probably Kate Being Beaned, Yet Again, By The Idiot Ball....
causes her to completely blow off both Nick's and Jax's orders not to go anywhere alone, so she takes off on her Harley to speak with Jax's old neighbor! Thankfully, the neighbor lady imparts two important bits of information: 1) ; and 2) !
So, disturbed by this news, Kate heads back on her bike to her crappy apartment, only to discover !
CLIFFHANGER STING!
In the Comments below, fellow series reader Donna (you can read her more favorable review of this book here ) and I discuss if maybe Kate Martin "Bondage as a Hard Limit" isn't less a "You're a real lightweight" issue, and more of a "Can I trust this guy to tie me up?" one....
You guys, this series is really good to be a short story series. Normally, short stories make everything seem unrealistic and rushed. I guess because this is one of those new mini series type things, it doesn't feel rushed at all. However, it makes me wonder, why do they do those and not just combine them all and make one long book. Whatever, either way, I'm actually quiet impressed with this series so far and I think it's the perfect inbetween series to read. Plenty of suspense, and hot hot sex. But not like those little short stories that have no story and all sex, this is actually total thriller and I'm hooked to see how it's going to end. :)
Greed: book 2 in the White collared series, was just as the first book: fast paced and enticing. The author keeps the momentum and draws you into the plot as the drama unfolds. Kate's resilience and strong character comes through more and more, keeping her independent will even if Nick and Jaxon demands her obedience. Going deeper into the world of BDSM, she learns about her own strengths and desires, and allows Jaxon to own her completely, but the lawyer within does show her face often to the submissive Katerina's delight. A wonderful short story that keeps you involved as you learn more about Jaxon, his marriage and the people who shared his life with Alyssa. You learn more about Kate through the hacking and threats she receives. The cliffhanger at the end keep you guessing who this derange person can be. Another well written book that enhance the story line and I cannot wait to begin with book 3.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this installment. I liked a lot and some not so much. There were a few twists and turns with some new characters thrown it. At the moment my brain keeps asking questions like "What's going on? "Who done it?"
One thing I do know for sure is that this series is suspenseful and I can't wait to see what unfolds. Next please...

In only a couple of days, this case had become important to her. It wasn't solely a way to prove her worth to Nick and the firm. Regardless of how she felt about Jaxson personally, she believed in his innocence, and she wanted the system to work the way it was intended.
It's official, I am completely obsessed with this author and totally addicted to this series. Seriously, this woman takes my breath away- this series is proving to be one helluva wild ride with no end in sight. It's not even just the sex, though that shit is hella sexy, it's the characters...and the story... and the secrets... and the mystery... and the constant presence of danger lurking around every corner. Your constantly kept on edge for one reason or another and I love every damn minute of it. These are the kinds of books I thrive on, they make you think, they make you feel, they completely steal your attention and refuse to let go.
Her head hurt from all the romantic complications of the last few days. She'd gone from having a crush on Nick to kissing him, having sex with Jaxon, and then platonically sleeping with Nick. If the phone hadn't interrupted them, they would've kissed and lord knows what else. She was so going to hell.
Greed picks up right on the tail of Mercy- You could say Kate is kinda having a bad day...with a few highlights. After walking in on her boyfriend nailing one of her best friends, Jaxon gives her a ride home and they spend some time 'getting to know each other' before he freaks and hightails it out of her apt. then to top off her night, she gets a disturbing phone call. She calls the only person she can think of-Nick, he shows up in her time of need and that is where we pick up in this book. Both Nick & Jaxon are concerned and think it best that she be removed from the case for her own safety, but Kate will not be deterred. She knows deep down that Jaxon is innocent and wants nothing more than to prove it, which all leads to her first venture into the underground sex club- Benediction. The whole reason Kate went into this was to help Jax find some answers and to prove his innocence, what she wasn't prepared for were the feelings submission would evoke in her. She has to learn how to deal with the feelings she is developing for Jax and try to understand where she goes from here where Nick is concerned, threats are still coming at her from unexpected places, Jax is hiding things from her while she has secrets of her own she is desperately trying to keep hidden, all while the mystery of who killed Alyssa is spiraling out of control. No one is safe, trust is almost nonexistent, and time is not on her side.
“I can't stay away. Since you walked into the interrogation room at the police station, I've wanted to make you mine. My wife's blood was still on my hands, and I was fantasizing about cuffing you to the goddamn table and fucking you then and there. Is that the kind of monster you want?”
This series really is a rollarcoaster of emotions. Kate is unlike any woman you will read, she is just so real- she has real flaws and insecurities, fears, desires and uncertainties. #TeamNick is proving to be just the sweetest and sexiest thing-being there when she needs him, taking care of her, protecting her, yet barely hiding his desire for her. #TeamJaxon is as smokin' hott and confusing as ever. He makes is clear that he is laying claim to Kate, even though the current circumstances are forcing them to keep what they are getting up to a secret, and no matter how much Kate believes in his innocence-evidence comes to light that are causing her to question weather or not he really is. I personally bought my ticket for the #TeamJaxon train during book one and I am sticking to that decision, the man is just so damn hott and there is just this draw that simply cannot be denied. With so much sexual tension you could choke on it, and the danger lurking on every page, deception hiding in the wings with secrets dying too burst open-it's hard to sit still and savor the read, all I want to do is tear through the pages to see what is coming next....it's exhilarating! I never want this series to end, yet I am climbing the walls to see what happens next. Shelly Bell has permanently landed herself on my 'One-Click Addiction' list and I don't see her ever leaving.
Jax needed her. By offering her submission, she could provide him with some semblance of control. She kneeled on the plush, carpeted floor, spreading her legs wide open..... “Jax?” As if she'd taken him by surprise, he spun around with murder in his eyes. His gaze raked over her, from her head to her open thighs, lust replacing the rage on his face.

You cannot read each book in the White Collard series individually. The ending of one book bleeds right into the next book. I am not rating each book individually but the entire story. What happens to Nick is heart wrenching. I like the chemistry with Kate and Jaxon.
This book is a great as the first one in this series, things are heating up with the case and also heating up with Kate, and Jaxon he opens her eyes to a certain life style she goes undercover at a BDSM club to get answers on the case but mean while they get closer with each day that passed.
Bloody in love with this series. It really, really put Fifty Shades of Grey to shame. This has drama, chemistry and an actual storyline. And yes, the smut was pretty good too ;)
A copy of this book was provided by the publisher for an honest review at The Romance Evangelist
If you read my reviews with any regularity or follow me on Twitter, you’ve already heard how I’ve soured on most serial romance novels, especially when some seem to go on forever, with a total cost well beyond the price of a comparable full-length novel. But as with so many other romance trends I claim to dislike, there is always another writer out there who can prove me wrong and make me love the thing I’m convinced is no longer for me. Today that writer is Shelly Bell and the romance serial in question is WHITE COLLARED.
Nothing I hate about most serials is here, as Shelly Bell and her publisher have done everything right. There are only four parts to this romantic suspense story. They have been released only a week apart. And each only costs 99 cents in the US. Normally I try not to let cost influence the content of my reviews (because hello, I’m often fortunate enough to get an Advance Review Copy) but when the entire story can be purchased within one month’s time for under $5 USD, I think it’s notable enough to include here as another point in its favor.
Still, just because it’s affordable and a reasonable length and you don’t have to wait months for a conclusion doesn’t mean you should go out and read it all yourself. What does mean you should go out and read WHITE COLLARED is that it’s an amazingly addictive erotic romance between two characters from entirely different worlds who meet under terrible circumstances and then must track down an unknown killer so they can live long enough to find their HEA. And when I say it’s amazingly addictive, I mean exactly that. I was given the opportunity to read the first part before deciding to review the entire story, and was hooked so completely that it was all I could do not to jump up and down until I received the other three parts the next day.
Kate Martin is a determined young lawyer with a secret past she thought she’d buried for good. She may be crushing on her handsome boss, Nick Trenton, but they both need to keep clear heads if they’re going to exonerate Nick’s good friend, Jaxon Deveroux. Jaxon’s wife has been found tortured to death in their mansion while he’s allegedly been out of town on business, so naturally he’s the only suspect. Kate first meets her new client as he’s being interrogated by the police, and he soon has her head in a spin. It’s wrong that Kate is so attracted to a man being accused of the worst sort of murder, and yet it’s all too obvious that the feeling is mutual. She knows Jaxon can’t be guilty, but if it wasn’t him, then who did it? Their deepening attraction could be as potentially fatal to Kate as the danger that threatens to engulf them both. But who wanted Jaxon’s wife dead, and why does this person seem to know so much about what Kate would like to keep hidden forever?
I’m always a bit skittish about romantic suspense stories, if only on account of so many misplacing the romance along the way, but also because I don’t have a particularly strong stomach for excessive violence. So i was even more wary about WHITE COLLARED, until I read the scene where Kate meets Jaxon in the police station. From that point on, until the very last page of Part 4, I was gone – hook, line, and sinker. Every moment, every flashback, every interaction down to the most seemingly innocuous detail is essential to the story. It seemed like both Kate and I were over our heads at first, but as she did her best to juggle her desire for Jaxon with her still-active attraction to Nick, all while working to find the real killer, I just let myself sit back and enjoy the ride. Even when I was sure I’d figured out whodunit, WHITE COLLARED wasn’t content to let me gloat in comfort, throwing a few last curve balls near the end that almost made me change my mind more than once. Best of all, when the murder mystery is solved, it still isn’t all neat and tidy, as there are more than a few villains in this story, and only one of them murdered Jaxon’s wife. WHITE COLLARED reminded me of the Glenn Close / Jeff Bridges movie “Jagged Edge” but with an entirely different sort of ending, and I loved every minute I spent reading it.
I will warn readers that there is some hardcore BDSM in this story, and a few scenes between the hero and heroine that may appear to flirt with dubious consent. But it is not torture porn by any stretch, and Kate’s consent was made obvious at least to my own satisfaction as the story progressed. If such themes are not what you prefer in your romance reading, then you should probably pass. But if you enjoy seeing good defeat evil in the middle of a white-hot sexually charged romance between a perfectly matched Dom and sub, then WHITE-COLLARED is the story for you. I hope you enjoying inhaling it in large satisfying gulps as much as I did. 5 stars for all four parts.
**Please note that this is the second part of a story that is divided into four parts, each comprising its own book. White Collared Part One: Mercy needs to be read before this book in order to fully appreciate the plot, and this review contains spoilers for this prior installment.**
Shelly Bell amps the thriller and heat factor in White Collared Part Two: Greed. Wow, is this a scorcher! I enjoyed this second part of the White Collared series even more than the first, and it's not just the highly titillating nature of this novel. My mystery solving senses were also highly aroused. I can't wait to read the remaining two parts to find out how Shelly Bell is going to tie it all together!
The attention on Jaxon Deveroux is heating up. As he prepares to defend charges that he killed his ex-wife, who he engaged in the BDSM lifestyle with, Kate Martin's allure becomes even more irresistible. Kate is a legal intern who is second chairing his case under the supervision of Nicholas Trenton, his best friend and senior partner at the law firm of Joseph and Long. Nicholas also has taken notice of Kate's charms, both in and out of the court room, and starts to find ways to clue her in to his desires.
In this second installment, Kate and Jaxon have just commenced their undercover mission at the private BDSM club where Jaxon used to take his wife. While they may be "pretending" to be in a Dom/Sub relationship to garner information, let's just say that there is relatively nothing about the BDSM world that Kate is not willing to explore. As their physical relationship takes it up a notch, Jaxon's protective Dom nature begins to surface more to the forefront and he also starts to verbally stake his claim that he doesn't share. Causing Kate's twisted emotions to surface as she attempts to sort out her feelings between Nicholas, her long-time crush and mentor, and Jaxon, who she can't seem to get enough of.
Amidst this steamy background, we also get more clarity as to the state of mind of the yet to be revealed killer; and it's clear that he now has his sadist sights on Kate. Will Jaxon and Nicholas natural protective inclinations be enough to save Kate? Is it possible that one of them is actually the killer? Who will Kate ultimately fall in love with: Nicholas or Jaxon?
I love how Shelly Bell has created both a strong heroine in Kate and yet one that takes great pleasure in giving up control. She does a marvelous job of describing her physical reaction to Jaxon's domination which is almost like a drug in its powerful and calming effect. Moreover, both Jaxon and Nicholas exemplify the protective qualities of an alpha hero without being completely overbearing. A fine line that every author must draw when writing stories with alpha heroes, and Ms. Bell has done a perfect job thus far.
I can't wait for the next installment, White Collared Part Three: Revenge! How will it all end? I'm sitting on the edge of my seat to find out!
Source: A review copy was provided by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
If you read my review for the first instalment in this serialised novel you'll probably already know I had a lot of problems with it. Since I had already been given review copies of all four sections I decided to give the story another chance though and I have to admit that I did enjoy this part slightly more than the first.
I really don't have a lot to say about Greed that I didn't already say about Mercy. All the things that irritated and confused me the first time around are still here and we get a few more WTF moments thrown in for good measure. Even if we completely forget about all the holes in the plot (such as why a law student would be given such a major role on a high profile case or why they all seem to think that someone who is completely new to the BDSM scene would be able to go undercover as a sub in a BDSM club and be able to figure out who the real murderer is) I'm still irritated by the way Kate seems to be going back and forth between Jaxon and Nick with her affections. She is making the most of the BDSM lessons that Jaxon is giving her but when she feels threatened Nick is the one she calls and even though they've kept it platonic so far I don't think she's far off jumping into bed with both of them considering the thoughts she has about Nick. What I really don't like is the fact that she knows Nick is interested in her but she hasn't told him that she's sleeping with Jaxon. I'm sure that there have been points in most peoples lives where they've had a crush on more than one person but that doesn't mean you should act on it.
I can't decide whether I should carry on reading or give up now I'm at the halfway point. Obviously the things that annoy me aren't going to go away and are possibly only going to get worse as the story continues but I do kind of want to know exactly what happened in Kate's past with her father. I'm also curious about who the real murderer is and there was a pretty compelling cliffhanger that managed to snag my attention just before I quit this instalment. Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment but since I already have part 3 on my Kindle I might have to give it a try at some point. At least they're all quick reads!
Greed – White Collared Part Two by Shelly Bell is a 2014 Avon Red Impulse publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
The first book in this steamy e-series ended on a disturbing and ominous note. Kate pulls herself together despite her boss being very worried, and continues on with her plans with Jaxon. She and Jaxon go “undercover” to the BDSM club Jaxon and his wife once frequented looking for answers about his wife's murder. We learn a little more about Kate's background and the ethical no no she has jumped into head first continues despite the possibility it could all blow up at any moment. Once again we are left with a bit of disturbing and curious information about Jaxon's past and are left wondering if we should trust him.
I loved the first book and have high hopes for the e-series. I know the readers are looking for hot erotica and the author won't disappoint you. For some it could be pretty hot stuff, while others may feel the temperature is just now getting a little warm. My opinion is that we are just getting started and this chapter just gave the reader a small glimpse of what will happen next. The suspense element took a little while to get going in this one and it seemed to be sort of on a back burner for most of the book. However, we started the book off with intense courtroom drama and ended the book with yet another chilling reminder that all may not be as it seems. So, until next time....
The need to set up the apparent mutual sexual exploration between Jaxon and Kate took up a good portion of the book this time. The fact that they both like to experiment and play sex games helps Kate in her new undercover role in the clubs. However, for me this story started to lose it's momentum a bit when this part carried on just a little too long before we got back the reality part, which is that Jaxon is accused of murdering his wife. Once we got back on track with that part of the story, the pace really picked up again. So, for this one I'm going with a 3.5 rounded to 4.
Shel: One thing I neglected to note in my thoughts about part one was that chapter one in each book in this series come from a different perspective..a mystery man...a killer. In this installment we immediately see that his thirst for control did not end with Alyssa, his main target is out there. Court: Creeeeeeepy!
Shel: In part two Kate and Nick and Jaxon are trying to prove his innocence in their very unorthodox plan (Kate playing Jaxon's submissive in a sex club). They are also gathering details and trying to hunt down clues as to who is behind all of this. There's trouble with Alyssa's family, the press is making the murder and the sex lives of Alyssa and Jaxon into a circus, an election is adding more pressure..and if all of that's not enough, Kate is receiving threats and keeping secrets.
Court: All of these things brought a lot of layers into this unorthodox story (like Shel said) so that you root for and feel for every single character that you meet. Not joking. I had a better understanding of motivations by every single piece of dialogue that we were given, even if it was a creepy killer to a best friend, a boyfriend, or a co-worker. The plot definitely thickened!
Shel: ..and let's not forget the sexual undercurrents between Nick and Kate or the burgeoning relationship between Jaxon and Kate. Does anyone else see the cluster-eff that I do? Because I see one coming. Yikes. Court: Majorly! I was seeing that as a set up for some major fireworks of all three of them together, or some blood shed when jealousy hit the mother effing fan! What will happen? I HAVE TO KNOW!
Shel: As I noted last week, there are times when I get a little reader whiplash. Things happen unexpectedly fast or without much background or build up. There's just too much, I think, being left out as far as motivation/intent/development. Court: It definitely made me wish that each part were longer. Way longer. But, the steam is ultra steamy so I didn't mind it as much as I had thought I would!
These serialized erotic romances are taking the Romance World by storm! Every time I log in to Facebook or other social media, I see more and more coming out! Ever since then, I have been devouring these like crazy! I LOVE them! If you want a sexy, suspenseful, quick read, a serial series is the way to go. The WHITE COLLARED Series by Shelly Bell had me gagged, bound, and held hostage from Part One and on. I was lucky to receive all four parts all at once, and let me tell you, THANK GOD! I’m not sure if I could have waited a single day in between parts. Luckily for fans, you do not have to wait too long to have the next part available to you.
❝We all carry scars. Some are just more visible than others.❞
Ms. Bell had me hooked by the end of Chapter One. Holy Shit! My heart was racing and I immediately wanted to know who, what, when, where, and why?! We get a great sense of each character and what their background is. Kate, Nicholas, and Jaxon are AMAZING characters, and they each bring such complexity and raw emotion to the table. You instantly crave more and more of their story. With each part of this series unfolding, the more intense it gets. Erotic isn’t enough to cover what this series was for me. Don’t get me wrong, White Collared is a SCORCHING read, but along with that came the thrilling suspense, and the emotional downfall of certain events. With every page and every chapter came new ideas, new questions, and new plot twists. I couldn’t turn away from these words that left me speechless at the conclusion of each part. This was a VERY WELL DONE serial, and it has created another Super Fan for this incredibly talented author. I’m keeping this series close to me, because when I’m feeling in a funk, and I need a pick me up, I believe re-reading the White Collared Series will be my DRUG OF CHOICE!

MICHELLE'S REVIEW
OMG!!! Lovers- you have to get in on this serial. It's so good!!! You can read my review of part 1 HERE:
This book starts off like the 1st- with an intro from the POV of our killer. What's interesting about this intro is that it had me speculating on who the killer might be. I have my theories and I REALLY want to drop everything and just keep reading and find out!!!
Kate and Jax embark on their undercover work at the BDSM club. In preparation for this there is some REALLY hot sex that takes place. Like- guys- this sex is so hot. I can't even with how hot it was. It is totally vibe worthy.
Kate still has some lingering feelings for her boss, Nick, but he seems to be conceding to the fact that she has feelings for Jaxon. It's a very interesting dynamic between the three of them.
We start to find out things about Jax's past as Alyssa's funeral takes place. Just when Kate starts to put her guard down she find out things that make her question everything.
On top of her own reluctance to fully submit to Jax, she is still holding onto her secrets. I am dying to know what she is hiding! Again- I'm starting to piece things together but I'm just not sure.
But all of this isn't nearly as important as what happens in the end. HOLY CLIFFHANGER!! You will die for part 3. Die.
You need to get into this series, lovers. It's awesome!!! I can't wait to read part 3 and 4!

OMG! And the plot thickens. I'm so glad I had all four loaded...on to REVENGE. I couldn't stop reading.
We venture deeper into the world of BDSM with Kate and Jaxon while truths are exposed from all directions, and we continue to stumble over clues pertaining to Alyssa’s murder and Jaxon’s involvement. It’s getting complicated as Kate begins to succumb to the new world she’s exploring at night while trying to do her job during the day, and keep her distance from Jaxon.
This installment ends with an attack that will surprise you.
The White Collared series by Shelly Bell is an extraordinary, exciting, steamy hot as all get-out story line, and definitely makes FIFTY SHADES OF GREY pale in comparison. This is the real emotion, psychology, and excitement of the world of BDSM. Shelly Bell has done an incredible job of presenting this hidden world in a way that we can all understand and hopefully, appreciate. Whether it is your cup of tea is up to you but as a reading experience, it rocks big time. This is a series that most certainly has to be read in order to capture the full impact of the story, the mystery, the romance, and the eventual happily-ever-after.
I highly recommend each book in the White Collared series by Shelly Bell, MERCY, GREED, REVENGE, and PASSION because one without the others would be a travesty in reading. Take a walk on the wild side and trust me, if you even half-way liked FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, you’ll fall head over heels in love with Shelly Bell’s works because that other one looks so dull in comparison.
***copy purchased for my personal reading but sharing an honest & unscripted review.
White Collared started with an intriguing start that only builds with each installment to the story. While I was intrigued from the start, I wasn't completely satisfied with what I found, wanting more from both the characters and the storyline.
Mercy really served as an intro to the lives of Kate, Jax, and Nick, and served to set up the situation that will soon unravel.
The secondary characters were the ones who really rang true for me with this e-serial. I loved Logan, Camille, and several of the others. Kate as a main character irked me slightly, mainly to do with her taking a pill for anxiety what seemed like about every other page. While there is some resolution to this by the end of the book in a way, I still thought it was a very unsafe habit, particularly since to have that amount of pills for panic attacks seemed a bit unlikely to me, and had a hard time connecting with her because of this.
The romance between Kate and Jax was slightly rushed, yet as I saw them dive deeper into it, it became very authentic. I loved the scenes between the pair of them and continuously wanted more.
The whole situation with Nick was a bit interesting since throughout the entire book there was this constant allusion to something building between the three characters.
I'm quite curious to see what else Shelly Bell has written as I did enjoy this one. The suspense was there with the crimes as the actual killer was quite a shock to me. There were just some elements were I was left feeling like things were not completely tied up and was hoping for a bit more.

In this second part of the serial, more information related to Alyssa's death comes to the surface and more suspects get added to my long list.
I really enjoyed this installment since we find out just a little more about, well, everything. For starters, more details of Kate's past resurface making me think that the killer might be someone from her past and Kate is his next victim.
We also take a closer look at Jaxon's BDSM club. When they stepped into Benediction, a sexier side of Jaxon came out and Kate explored the Dom/Sub relationship she has with Jaxon. Not only did we find more clues to Alyssa's case, but we also get to see Jaxon and Kate in action and explore their sizzling connection further.
Nick was one of my favorite characters in part one of this serial. You can even say I liked him a little more than Jaxon. Unfortunately, my view of him changes in this one. He is still just as protective of Kate, but there is something about him that I can't put my finger on.
I love that the story got even more suspenseful than the first and that I'm not quite sure who the killer might be. Kate stumbles upon another case that might just be related to the Alyssa's, so the killer at this point could be anyone. I also can't wait to see what happens between Nick, Jaxon, and Kate!
I'm really enjoying this serial. It's a perfect mix of love, lust, and suspense. Can't wait to read part three!
Oh man... This book was awesome. Suspense. Romance. BDSM. Alpha men. Kick ass heroine. You name it, you got it. PLEASE DON'T READ ANY SPOILERS ON ANYONE'S REVIEWS UNTIL YOU'VE READ THE BOOKS
It was really, really amazing. I've never read a book with this combination. Her style of writing was also awesome. This is the first time I've read Shelly Bell and it most certainly won't be the last.
The suspense was breathtaking till the very end. Unlike most romantic suspense novels (that aren't really all that suspenseful for us), this one portrayed the true meaning of the word suspense.
I'm not saying this book was perfect. It took place over a short span of time - just 14 days. I would have preferred it, if the whole book had been spread over a couple of months. It would have made everything more believable. Especially the romance and collaring part. Also, Kate kept prancing around alone everywhere despite knowing she was in danger. Now, who do we know who does that? Stupid heroines in horror movies. That's who! Which totally contradicts everything about her character. Yeah..., so those were the things that didn't sit right with me.
But I wouldn't let it stop you from reading 'White Collared', it has some of the most excellent plotting I've ever read!
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
Wow just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters, and love the way this book turn out to be, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
The story continue with Kate, Jaxon and Nick, it begging with Kate waking up to pounding at her door, when she open the door she see that its Nick, making sure shes ok they fall sleep on her couch, when she wakes up the next morning Nick gets a phone a call, letting him know that Jaxon wife body has being released, they get ready to go to court and fight to have her wishes to be done, on the other end Kate is getting threatening phone call, and she is afraid that her past my come to light, also she turn to Nick for help, while she is still fighting her attraction for Nick, she is also attracted to Jaxon and she cant denied the passion that they have, and the world that he introduce her off, exhibitionism and voyeurism, who will she choice, will the find the killer.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, Author Shelly Bell THANK YOU for introducing me to this awesome series, and this amazing characters, I am so ready to read the third part of this series.
This story continues with us still trying to determine who the killer is. As we watch Kate come into herself as a submissive, Jaxon is just the one to show her how much pleasure giving up control can be. Their relationship continues to be steamy and hot.
Kate is falling fast for Jaxon. She doesn’t want to have her heart broken when they finally locate the killer and Jaxon moves on from her. But she is willing to play along so that she can be close to him. As they continue to look for the killer, Kate still can not deny that she has feelings for her boss, Nate. Nate seems to feel that he needs to protect her too.
We learn more about the relationship that Jaxon and his wife had in the club. There are more secrets discovered that may help lead us to the true killer. few more pieces of the puzzle fall into place, there is a major danger issue for Kate. Someone is out to get her. They have found her true identity. She does not share this with Nate or Jaxon. She is determined to keep her past a secret.
This was an amazing book in the series. I can not wait to jump into book 3.
Woo hoo! The second installment of the White Collared Series has arrived and I am now more addicted than I was after Mercy, if that's even possible.
So, when continue the story from the second we left off (thank god!). Someone is scaring Kate and it is working. She is not afraid of Jax, he is not who scares her, it is the person or persons who seem to know everything about her and the life that she has tried to put behind her and they are not afraid to use it against Kate, to meet their end goal.
Kate and Jax are preparing for the Benediction, but their relationship is getting steamier and Kate is getting more confused about what she wants. She still hero worships Nick, especially after he came and protected her after the call. But she doesn't want to share her relationship with Jax with him. I am going to leave it there are I don't want to give away the story.
I can't even tell you how much I love this series (if you can't tell). Every book is another delicious nugget that I devour. The twist at the end of this book is a shock and completely threw me!
This delicious nugget earns 10 out of 10 from me and I am dying for the next installment!
This is a series that is definitely meant to be read in order to get the full effect of the story.
This book picks up right where book 1 leaves off.
This Kate in danger after a suspicious phone call. Both Nick and Jaxon has been assigned to protect her from any threat that may be imposed on her.
Kate still fights a constant battle of lust, wanting both Nick and Jaxon. She fights to not be attracted to either, Jaxon because he's her client, and Nick...her boss.
While diving in deeper to clear Jaxon's innocence, she's going to be delved into Benediction (a BDSM club for the exclusive). Under Jaxon's training, we discover that submission comes natural to her, she becomes entralled with Jax, they develop emotions that go beyond professional.
Jaxon calms her and Kate discovers an outlet for release outside of anxiety pills, that she still naturally goes to. With reporters everywhere set as a trigger for Kate due to her past, she needs both Nick and Jaxon to help her not only from danger but from herself
I’ve just finished reading this the second part in this novella series and let me tell you I’m totally hooked, the characters are well written and draw you into the story they are believable and captivating.
Shelly really ramps up the heat factor in this novella the chemistry between Jaxon and Kate is raging hot.
But it’s the plot that is heating up right now, we are getting drawn further into the mystery and intrigue that will have you trying to solve the who done it part of this book the whole time your reading.
It’s starting to look like the killer has Kate in his sights next and there may have been another woman before Alyssa! Can Nick and Jaxon keep Kate safe?, Is it possible that one of them is actually the killer?, who will Kate choose Nick or Jaxon?. Let me tell you I have more questions swirling through my mind right now and I’m loving it!
I hate it when the author give too much away and you solve the mystery too soon, but that is not the case with this book and I cannot wait to read the third novella in this series.
This review will be for the whole series (four books)! I discovered Shelly Bell by beta reading for one of her books, and since i am addicted! But White Collared is now one of my favorite!!! Well written with a story that is deep, interesting and well put together, full of plots and twists, it will blow your mind! The characters are broken and strong, interesting but mysterious, sexy and hot without lacking brain cells! I loved most of them and hated a few! The writting style is so amazing that you will feel all the emotions that Kate goes through and you will think that you unraveled the whole plot at every twist just to have another one pop up to point you in another direction! The thrilling factor will make you addicted, the deep and emotional (sometimes a little taboo) subjects will make you sad, shocked, compassionate and even angry! The whole series is an amazing roller coster ride!!!!! I did't want it to end!!!! I loved every minute of it and am putting my two thumbs up high in the air!!!!!!
White Collared is a serialized, stand-alone erotic thriller that ultimately ends with a HEA. Each installment is 100 pages and will be released weekly throughout the month of June. Greed is the second installment. You must read Mercy first.
