The Thirteenth Zodiac #2
Sins of Leo
This warrior can’t let go of the past.
Leo’s life is a living hell. He lost his wife and baby to a monster and blames himself. He’s spent years trying to overcome the guilt, but it turns out heavy drinking isn’t a solution. When the boss of the Zodiac Warriors orders him to seek help, he ends up spilling his guts in a shrink’s office. However, the attractive woman isn’t falling for his pity party—and knows he’s hiding something.
When her newest patient arrives for his session, Dr. Ruth Warmstone hopes her couch survives the massive, muscled man that flops atop it. It isn’t just his body that’s heavy but his dark thoughts. Right away, she knows he’s holding back. How can she get him to open up?
Maybe she’ll get a chance to unlock his secrets when he helps her to evade capture by an organization that wants something she inherited from her archeologist father. While on the run—that turns into a quest to discover her father’s last known whereabouts—she discovers Leo is no ordinary man. He’s a Zodiac Warrior with a mission from the stars.
Together, they must explore a jungle in search of an ancient artifact and find a way for Leo to forgive the sins of his past so love can flourish in his future.

This one was a lot better, still short, but I liked the story more. There was still world building and character building. There was cute romance, and I liked that they both had to work on themselves even though it was a little fast.

Second Zodiac warrior finds his happy end
Five years ago, Leo lost everything. His wife, his daughter. He is surviving and drowning his sorrow in alcohol. When Aries send him to psychologist, he founds more, then he ever dared to hope.
Ruth has only her work. She lost both parents, her friends moved on with their life. She lives to help her clients. But when during session with her newest client someone broke into her flat, her life change in unexpected ways.
Beautifull adventure in Indiana Jones style.

Leo’s story hits you right in the feels right from the start! How he copes, understandable. How he reacts, heartbreaking. But how he recovers, that is the stuff that keeps you riveted by his story. It isn’t all him though, Ruth has her own issues to deal with, and magic to believe in. It takes them both time, but their forced proximity, gives them time and ample opportunity to work through everything, including their attraction to each other <3

This second book in this series had a few twists and turns. This author always her characters big personalities and makes you feel like you know them. I truly enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Loved it!
This story drew me in from the start. Didn't let go as it went on. Wish the Tower was real. It would be a cool place to live. Can't wait for the next one.
